Negative experience: Well, I had arranged a meeting with a lady by the name of Alia Gould, she met me at the entrance and immediately asked if I am there to waste her time and if so to move my car. I explained I have a meeting with her or a colleague regarding 2 properties I would be viewing with the intention to buy. I can say this lady had the worst attitude I’ve ever come across and do not understand how she manages in this line of work. I feel sorry for her staff that were actually really nice and told me to ignore her tantrums. Never again! Avoid her at all costs.

Negative experience: Avoid avoid avoid. Completely unprofessional. Apartment was a mess when I first moved in. Then they charged me for cleaning when I moved out, even though I left it in a better condition than when I found it. Alia is the nicest person you'll ever meet. That's until you sign the contract and pay the deposit/rent. Then her true colors show. Please just avoid dealing with this agency altogether

Fantastic experience: I have recently used Bridgfords for the sale of my house and I can't speak highly enough of them, particularly Debbie Denby. Debbie was fantastic from start to finish. If it wasn't for Debbie's proactive approach to the transaction it would not have completed when it did. Debbie went above and beyond to get the sale done and I could not be more grateful. Joe Wilson was also really helpful. They offer a really professional but friendly service and would definitely use them again and wont hesitate to recommend them to others.

Negative experience: I moved into a new property managed by them on the 1st of November, and from day one I’ve had nothing but problems with their customer service. They never provided me with a key for my postbox, meaning I’ve had no access to my mail for over five weeks (yet) I emailed them, and they told me it was the property manager’s responsibility. I called the property manager, and she told me it was their responsibility because they were supposed to give me the key when I moved in. So I was left being bounced back and forth with no one taking ownership. When I called them again, one of the staff put me on hold for 8 minutes and then hung up on me. I called back and was told, “There’s nothing we can do, but we’ll look into it.” I emailed again and they said a contractor had been assigned and they would update me — but they never did. After waiting another week and a half (maybe even two), I went into their office in person. The response I got was simply, “It can’t be done today.” No apology, no explanation, not even basic courtesy or a smile.

Negative experience: Had potentially the worst experience I’ve had with an estate agents because of this site. Alia is one of the worst people I’ve ever had the opportunity to speak to, I thought estate agency ‘management’ would at LEAST be professional and understand the basics of leasing regulations and policy but Alia has proved me wrong at every turn. I only wish I knew sooner so that I could avoid this site and person sooner. Good luck to anyone who has the displeasure of talking to her.

Negative experience: If I could give this Lettings agents a zero I would! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE love yourself and do not go with Bridgfords. When I wanted to view the property they cancelled twice , even though I had travelled from across the country and I had to knock on the actual property to see if anyone was home to view it myself. I was then reassured the property had been cleaned and things had been fixed but nothing was. The place was filled with dead flies and mouldy cups from The previous tenants , amongst other things I do not wish to go into. Inventory was not done and my one year old daughter was trapped in her room, because they failed to fix the door handles , although they stated they would and I paid for this out of my own pocket! Please do yourself a huge favour and never get a property with them!

Negative experience: Avoid this agency at all costs. Don’t pick the phone up, don’t call back after leaving multiple messages and don’t respond the emails. Trying to purchase a property is next to impossible with an unresponsive team. Don’t waste your time!

Negative experience: I rented with Bridgfords for a significant number of years until August 2023, and found a number of interactions with this company to be borderline if not absolutely fraudulent, especially charges on departing the property where what I suspect were years old photos were used to justify additional charges. Unfortunately these were submitted directly to the TDS mediator who was unable to see the date and time stamp for when the photos were taken and therefore Bridfords had plausible deniability. I also suspect my former landlord was impacted, for example when Brigdfords claimed to have done a few inspections (which I assume was a contractual obligation), however I know for a fact that no one attended the property. I'm sharing in the hope others will be saved the pain of dealing with Bridgfords.

Negative experience: I strongly advise against using this agency due to my recent experience: • As I was busy with my business and moving out by the end of July, as well as preparing for my 3 week travels at the end of the month, I requested a video viewing. The apartment appeared fine. • I was assured a 6-month break clause would be included in the contract and that the property would be professionally cleaned. Neither of these promises were fulfilled. • My proposed move-in date was 28/07/25, but the agency failed to provide the keys due to a failed EICR. • On 29/07/25, I requested to cancel the tenancy after a staff member (Hassan) mentioned the EICR would most likely fail again. The branch manager, Alia, overheard this and reprimanded him, then refused my cancellation request — even though I never signed the tenancy agreement (despite them still sending me reminders to sign). • When I visited the office to voice concerns, Alia became defensive, rude, and ultimately kicked me out without reason. When I visited the property (escorted by a staff member named Ollie, since they still could not provide me with the keys), I showed Alia photos of the apartment’s condition. She dismissed my concerns by saying her own house looks the same and promised to send me photos for comparison — which I have still not received. Her behaviour was unprofessional and manipulative. Based on my experience and similar reviews, this agency preys on young couples, international students, and first-time renters. To make matters worse, Branch Manager Alia has accumulated over 40 negative reviews, which speaks volumes about her unprofessional conduct and the agency’s ongoing failure to address it. Any good reviews about her seem fabricated by herself . This has caused unnecessary stress during my holiday, and due to their serious incompetence, I have decided to pursue legal action as well as report it to Leeds city council. Please avoid them at all costs — and make sure to read the other Google reviews before considering them.

Negative experience: Warning: Avoid This Agency! First of all, the manager Alia is the worst. When I moved in, they failed to provide access on the agreed date due to "uncompleted procedures." I was forced to stay in an Airbnb for a week. Upon finally moving in, the entire property was clearly unrenovated: most room door handles were broken, curtains were damaged, and the heating system was faulty. We moved in September, but heating repairs weren’t addressed until December. Throughout my 10-month tenancy, I reported issues monthly, yet they ignored everything except the heating. I never received mailbox keys—calls went unanswered, and visits to their office led to endless buck-passing. They directed me to the building reception, who stated the agency managed keys. After they stopped replying to emails, I gave up. Upon moving out, they charged me £700 for "repairs and cleaning," including items I had reported (e.g., broken curtains) and a sofa already damaged before my tenancy. I provided move-in video proof of the sofa’s condition, but they ignored all communication afterward. After six months of disputes, I escalated to their headquarters. They refunded partially but still withheld over £700—including £100+ for removing Blu-Tack from walls! This is the worst, most shameless agency I’ve encountered in five years in the UK. The manager and his colleague consistently evade responsibility, dismissing complaints with "just email/call us," despite never responding. Feel free to contact me. I can show all the evidence.

Fantastic experience: Ollie has been brilliant at helping us sort our flat - we don’t live in Leeds currently and up to this point had a few negative experiences with flats falling through, but Ollie went above and beyond, organising a FaceTime call for us and a video viewing of a property, and also sorting us with securing it all in the same day. We have had great communication since from both him & Alice, always getting back to us quickly and keeping us informed on the process. We are still in the process of getting everything signed but so far has been the best experience we have had with a letting agent!

Negative experience: (Update August 2025) STILL NO REAL INVENTORY REPORT 3 months in... (ALL BRIDGFORDS TENANTS & LANDLORDS CHECK YOUR REPORTS). FILTHY apartment, nearly ALL furniture broken, mouldy indoor sofa left to rot on balcony, staff not showing up to viewings – all while Bridgfords Leeds staff were rude at every level, from negotiators to Assistant Manager.. Countrywide has responded to our complaints re: Leeds Branch staff not turning up to viewings mentioned below & clarified it's a junior staff and training issue which they've said they'll work with management to resolve, but everything else we have worked directly with landlord as our landlord is sick of Bridgfords taking so long and got burned by lack of vetting tenants before us - so landlords watch out also! I've rented in India, South Africa, Australia, and South America – Bridgfords Leeds has been by far the WORST property experience I’ve ever had. It feels like “overpromise, underdeliver” is part of their training. To be fair, staff at Countrywide Group level (NOT Leeds branch) have been kind and are hopefully investigating, particularly rudeness of Management incl Alia at Bridgfords Leeds. To show this isn’t a petty moan, here’s what happened: 1. 1st viewing: offered rent discount if we paid 12 months up front, left outside for 20 mins without update (Ollie @ Bridgfords). 2. 2nd viewing: waited 30 mins, called office – they “forgot to tell us” it was off, despite confirming it that morning. Another couple left outside visibly annoyed too. 3. We couldn't view the flat. Ollie told us it would “go quickly” if we didn’t put down a deposit – so we did. Promised all broken items would be replaced and flat would be cleaned. 4. Move-in was over a bank holiday Monday. We offered to delay for convenience, but were told no – we had to move in. Paid deposit and 1st month rent, told we’d get instructions across the weekend. Bank Holiday arrived – nothing. Had to physically visit branch for keys. Ollie was “off sick” and unresponsive from Sunday. We got keys, but only 1 fob for a 2-bed apartment. 5. Flat was filthy and clearly hadn’t been cleaned or inspected. Dirty floors, broken staircase, broken sofa, mouldy indoor sofa dumped outside, disgusting showers, clumps of hair, clothing and crumbs left, cracked electrics in bathroom, fire door mechanisms removed, oven filthy, stools broken, wardrobes held with duct tape, etc. Took hours to clean ourselves. Countrywide only sent cleaners after we flagged no inspection had happened - but no contractors, and rotting furniture still left outside. 6. We had no tenancy agreement on move-in. We paid everything on time but only got the contract after chasing after moving in. For landlords – this should be a serious red flag. 7. Bridgfords say inspections are done by third party (miServices). We requested the report and were told flat was “inspected and cleaned 2 days before move-in”. The photos were clearly over a year old – different furniture, including the now-rotting sofa which appeared brand new and inside in the report. We’re still waiting for confirmation if the photos were taken when they claimed or if the inspection report is void. Yes, Bridgfords say “we don’t do the reports” – but tenants deal with Bridgfords, and they should take accountability, not just rent money. Instead, they’ve been angry at us for suggesting falsified reports. Countrywide Group is now investigating. From speaking to suppliers and checking other reviews, this seems common. With “Most Profitable Branch” plaques all over their Leeds office, it’s easy to see Bridgfords Leeds prioritises profit over tenants, landlords, and basic service standards. We’ve been passed around to 7–8 different people. Leeds management has been especially unhelpful and rude. Hate to leave a review, but these issues aren’t unique to us. If you’re considering Bridgfords Leeds – don’t. We’re now going through the Ombudsman process.

Fantastic experience: I have been dealing with Ollie in order to agree a tenancy agreement and have had nothing but great service. I am currently living around 2 and a half hours from Leeds but Ollie has gone above to cater for my needs and organised a FaceTime viewing and also sent through a video walk through. This has enabled me to make an informed decision and also saved me the time of travelling to Leeds to view a property I may not like. I have further dealt with Alice who has also been very helpful providing extra information and walking me through the process. Negative experience: Completely incompetent. Emails ignored for weeks on end by branch manager Alia. The ignorance from her and most of her colleagues is astounding. Negative experience: I had a viewing scheduled for 11:00 AM and even received a call at 10:00 AM confirming that I was still attending — which I appreciated. I left work early to attend, but shortly after, I received a text message saying the property was no longer available. While I understand that properties can be taken quickly, cancelling at the last minute after confirming just an hour before was frustrating and caused unnecessary inconvenience. I hope in the future the agency improves communication and gives timely updates to avoid letting people down like this.

Negative experience: EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING. DO NOT GO WITH THIS AGENCY. We moved into a new property on 11th June, only to find it in completely unacceptable condition. The fridge was broken and the freezer door had come off entirely. The carpets are stained, the walls have scuffs and marks, and the kitchen cabinets haven’t been cleaned. On top of that, the previous tenants' used cutlery was still left in the drawers, and the bedroom window is broken. We’ve been trying to get in touch with the property management team ever since — with no proper response. No one is taking responsibility, and nothing has been done to fix these issues. Absolutely shocking service for new tenants.

Negative experience: Really frustrating to leave work early, spend a fortune on a taxi to make it in time for a viewing to then be told (when I contacted them), to be told it had been cancelled as someone else took it. I can understand and appreciate cancelling the viewing but to not actually be told it's cancelled is abysmal. When questioned, I was told that the voicemails must have gone missing. Amazing

Negative experience: Interesting seeing the reviews wish we had read earlier. Absolutely abominable service. Contacted to look at renting a property. Never rented before. Bullied/ harassed and pressured into paying a holding deposit before even seeing a property only having seen a video. Then trying to rush us into the tenancy still before physically seeing the property. Being forced to pay 1st month rent before seeing property in person or signing any tenancy agreement. Unsurprisingly it was a dump unlike the video which had clearly been recored at least 5 years prior. Tried to raise concerns with Alia the manager with a bad attitude and a superiority complex. These were dismissed with girls you are inexperienced and should expect wear and tear. Point blank refused a further face to face meeting and was outright rude when we went into the estate agency. Needless to say we won't be progressing with the tenancy and have escalated to complaints and financial ombudsman for full refund of all monies paid. Please do not pay these con artists any money up front and insist on a face to face. They are their breaching their own published procedures and taking advantage of young inexperienced renters.

Negative experience: I would rate this agency less than that if I can. Tenancy signed and hold the key for no reason and the manager became rude and arrogant. So unnecessary processes to go through after all that and a month of waiting, the tenant with her one year old son has no option but to start all over again finding a new house. It's disgusting and Bridgefords should be ashamed of what they are doing.

Negative experience: If I could rate lower I would. There's not enough time in the day to list everything that Bridgfords put us through while renting one of their flats. But to summarise, customer service was the worst I've ever seen and at times beyond belief. Point blank disregard, rude and at times aggressive, particularly from branch manager Alia Gould who is only in the position she is (and avoided being sacked since) due to her partner being in a high position in the company. The other reviews regarding her say it all, not to mention evidence of the fake 5star reviews about her. Alia made our lives miserable which at times felt malicious as we were a young couple she wanted to take advantage of.

Negative experience: Outside of being rude and on multiple occasions insulting, I had 2 significant issues with Bridgfords during a 1 year tenancy 1. Despite specifically agreeing on cleaning and decorating required during the viewings, and getting this in writing, the apartment was dirty with mould issues throughout when we moved in. This took almost 3 months to resolve, as Bridgfords directly refused to fix several issues until Leeds City council were involved. 2. Despite Bridgfords providing 3rd party reports for the inventory and condition for move in and move out, which showed in writing that we left the apartment in better condition than we received it, it took 3 months to receive our deposit back. Again, the deposit protection scheme had to be involved, as they consistently tried to enforce dishonest charges from the landlord for carpet replacement (£550) and further cleaning (£197.50). I would not recommend Bridgfords as a tenant

Fantastic experience: From my own experience, I would recommend Bridgfords. we rented a property with them last year. During my tenancy, they processed my requests quickly, and got things done when there were issues. Although there was a hiccup before moving in, I would choose them again. And especially Dale was helping us with the viewing and move in and check out. He's really professional and helpful.

Negative experience: Unnecessarily awkward to deal with, were really rude and slow on communication with my partner when discussing contract renewal with possible rent reduction due to the scaffolding. Attempted to book flat viewings with less than 24 hours notice which were then a no-show with no notice. Asked as nicely as possible to be contacted about any future viewings as I WFH but would be happy to move around calls etc. if they needed, absolutely zero compromise on their side as they haven’t bothered to do this. Can’t get through via phone most times we attempt to call to rectify issues.

Negative experience: Absolutely an awful experience with Bridgford agents. Today I went for a viewing for one of their properties in West Point and my viewing time was 2:45 p.m. I waited for 10 minutes and then called them and the wait lasted for 45 minutes after that when I called a lady picked up saying “You kept calling here but we are not in the property, my collegue is”. Firstly, whom do you expect me to call when your collegue isn’t here who was supposed to be 45 minutes before? And secondly, if you cannot stick to the time then you should cancel the viewing rather than keeping me on wait for so long. The experience was so disgusting and disappointing, will make sure to not come back to this agent and will let my friends know that too.

Negative experience: My brief experience has been disappointing so far so I'm putting 2 stars. Had two viewings booked with them and experience was fine until today. Turned up to a verified booking, waited around before calling the office since no one had showed up. Took a few times to get through which is okay, phone was answered and was told I would receive a call back with an update. I received no call but rather a text telling me my viewing in a place completely different had been cancelled. No further contact. Just disappointing and disorganised, which is a red flag for me!

Negative experience: Worst experience with a letting agency in Leeds. I had a viewing at 12 pm. I confirmed it in the morning with them. I went to the property at 11:55 am. There was no agent to be seen by 12 pm - reconfirmed on the phone because at a previous viewing with bridgfords they cancelled a viewing few minutes after the scheduled viewing. Called the company at 12:20 pm again to see if everything is okay and if I should wait any longer. The customer service agent was extremely rude on the phone saying “You keep calling, the agent is on the way, you just have to wait!” That took me aback. How is one supposed to “just wait”? No apology given. I did wait till 12:35 pm. No agent to be seen. No calls or explanation. I had other plans but still waited. I called the company back at 12:40 pm. They kept cutting my calls. It was clear to me at this point that they were avoiding my number. Such behaviour makes no sense to me. This is the second time this has happened. Do you not want customers to take properties off your hand? Are the landlords who are handing over their properties happy with this behaviour? I called them again to give it one last chance. Same lady as before was back on the phone. This time she says “The agent was at the property since 11 am” How is that even possible when I have been at the property since the scheduled viewing time? There was no one. Plus, this lady was the one who told me that I have to wait for the agent and that he’s on the way? So which story is true? The agent was there since 11 am or that he’s on the way? Again, no apology given until I explicitly told her that they’ve been rude. If they gave me an explanation saying for whatever reason the agent is not available, I would have been understanding. Or if they wanted me to wait a little longer because the agent is running late/stuck at other viewings, I could have understood that too. But absolutely zero apology, zero sympathy, being deceptive, being rude, cutting my calls even. How is this in any way acceptable? They have wasted my time and caused me unnecessary anxiety. I am never using their service again. Absolutely abhorrent behaviour. Considering the reviews I have seen after the fact, I see that im not the only one who’s experienced this. If this is how they are with viewings, I can only imagine how irresponsible they will be even if I rent one of their properties. Truly dodged a bullet. highly recommend literally any other letting agency in leeds over bridgfords. Save your time and peace.

Negative experience: THE WORST EXPERIENCE, STAY AWAY AT ALL COST! We are not satisfied about the current situation of both the property itself and fob/key issues. Reminded that it has already been 7 days of our tenancy and we are both still not able to move in, as principal and our previous experiences, everything should be ready for moving in on or before the day of tenancy start, we are doubtful to if anything was ready in the first place at all. We still only have one working house key and only one fob, when it is explicitly advertised that it is a 2 bedroom property. Out of these issues, we have both contacted personnel that should be responsible, yet the branch manager has verbally addressed us saying that we can just copy the keys ourselves, "it costs two quid.", which is unheard of from both our experiences. Copying keys ourselves touches on major legal issues which we do not want to be involved in, plus it should not be our job in the first place at all since we are the customers it should never be our responsibility. Also cutting keys are never only 'two quid' as mentioned by the branch manager, it is evident that we have been brushed off when we requested help. We were given a lot of keys and have been told to try them all out as some work some don't, which turns out only one house key works out of the whole stack, and we have only given one fob. Wasn't it the landlord or agency's responsibility to make sure every key is ready instead of us? Like we have addressed, everything should be ready on or before our tenancy started, not having to fix it ourselves when we are the ones who are using this company's service. Then comes the cleanliness and the state of the property, we are deeply frustrated to say the least. We have been brushed off once again by the branch manager and told us that the property has been "professionally cleaned" and was "very expensive". We are still questioning if it was cleaned at all in the first place and if money was spent at all on cleaning since we have both been to the flat and the flat is not suitable for us to move in due to the nonexistent cleanliness. We have taken photo evidence of the state we have found the flat in on the day of our tenancy starts, again everything should be ready prior to moving in but clearly not. We SHOULD NOT be dealing with these issues as everything should have been prepared for new tenants. Remind you the flat is still not in a sustainable living condition for us to move in when it should've been so. We also feel the lack of respect alongside nonexistent professionalism from the team, as most of the major issues that shouldn't have been ours are brushed off to the maintenance when we are requesting the bare minimum of service, we feel it is exploitative of the team since they assume us to be naive foreigners.

Negative experience: Would leave 0 stars if I could. There have been many horrendous issues with Bridgfords. The property me and my housemate are renting from Bridgfords was advertised as a 2 bedroom flat. However, they only gave us one working key and one fob to enter the building. They said they would 'speak to the landlord' about the fob. It is currently day 3 since the tenancy started and we still have not been given a fob. On the 29th of May, me and my housemate went back the agency and the branch manager told us to duplicate the key. When I asked if we could be compensated (since it is not our job to be doing this, all keys should have been prepared for us the day we moved in), she responded with 'it costs 2 quid'. It is not about the price but a matter of principle and professionalism. It is not me and my housemate's job to duplicate the key and it is unfair for us to pay for it. Also, it is about to be day 4 tomorrow and we still only have one fob. Additionally, when we saw the house, it was extremely dirty. There were cobwebs everywhere, it was dusty, there was rotting food under the oven, in one of the rooms the previous tenant even left their mouth retainers in one of the cupboards. There was mould on some of the windows, there was a mouldy cup left behind in the bathroom, the freezer was full of black mould on the silicone bit. The bins had rubbish from the previous tenant left in them and was FULL OF MOULD. The branch manager insisted it was professionally cleaned but I am not sure as to what exactly they were cleaning. It is extremely unacceptable for me and my housemate to be expected to just share a fob and a key and move into an extremely dirty house that was 'professionally cleaned'. I hope that these issues will be sorted ASAP.

Negative experience: Terrible customer service and inefficient management. Unacceptable and unprofessional behavior. I was trying to rent a flat, both me and the landlord lost money because of their inefficiency. They were unable to arrange a viewing, they were ignoring my emails, they dont pick up phones. I prefferered to lose my off-market deposit than dealing with them. Of course they (Aaron) could not show the basic professionalism and reply to my email, ever. I cannot imagine what excuse they used to the landlord. I was never expecting that an agent in the city centre of Leeds could be so untrustworthy. Fantastic experience: We have been looking for apartments in Leeds for about two weeks and just in one day we found one that is really good. Thomas Henderson, the agent who found apartments for us, gives us all information about the area and fees, like council tax. Definitely recommend.

Negative experience: What a poor experience. Even after staying for 1 year in a property they did not provided me with the rolling contract and also deducted almost £700 from my security deposits saying the house needs cleaning and the blinds are broken. Before I left I cleaned the house thoroughly and checked all the blinds and they were all working but still they did this. Even when we entered this property in the beginning they told that they would send cleaners to clean the apartment but at the end they never did, maybe this is how they must be saving money. Please be careful with these letting agents. In the beginning they would be very good but at the end they will try to take most of your money from the security deposit. I have only one suggestion to Bridgfords if you really want to do a exit inventory and health check of the apartment do it in front of the tenant and not after when they have already left and cannot prove anything.

Negative experience: I first engaged with Bridgfords Leeds back in October 2023 regarding a rental property in Hanover Square. The red flags were there from the beginning; nobody showed up for our property viewing, and we were left waiting in the rain for over an hour. Despite this, we proceeded with the application process, and quickly became aware of their incompetencies. It took days for Bridgfords to acknowledge our holding deposit, we had to chase multiple times for our referencing to be sent, and communication was a mess. We got everything from our side done within a matter of days, but despite constant chasing, Bridgfords never sent the tenancy agreement. 3 days before our scheduled move-in date, the 15-day deadline for agreement had passed and we still hadn’t seen or signed an agreement. We had no choice but to pull out, leaving us effectively homeless as we had already given notice on our current flat. To add insult to injury, Bridgfords insisted that our holding deposit was ‘non-refundable’, so we had to spend weeks appealing this through Countrywide’s formal complaints procedure. Even though they sided in our favour, it still took multiple emails and several phone calls, and only now, 4 months later, have Bridgfords sent our money back. I have been renting for 10 years now, including with another Bridgfords branch in Manchester, but this is by far the worst letting experience I’ve ever had. Avoid them at all costs.

Fantastic experience: Bridgfords were delightful to deal with. Their young, dynamic team took the time to get to know me and meet my needs. Alia and Aaron, their assistant branch managers were easy to speak to and went the extra mile to address my concerns. The letting agents were also very helpful. Negative experience: Avoid at all costs. They neglected to give me a key when moving into the property months ago and after raising it on numerous occasions, I eventually was told I could collect the key today. When attending the office, I was immediately targeted by their manager who informed me I hadn't communicated that I'd been without a key and completely dismissed anything I had to say. They continued to antagonise and intimidate me, when all they needed to do was give me the key and apologise. I didn't go in there for a fight, but it's obviously what they wanted. They pushed me to the point of swearing, which I rarely do, and immediately told me I was unprofessional and that they'd keep a record of it. There's a reason there are multiple complaints about the same person across google and honestly they're very good at manipulating the narrative, so take their replies on here with a pinch of salt. We also have mould in our property and the place hadn't been cleaned when moving in. Please look elsewhere if you can.

Negative experience: Avoid at all costs Very unorganised and unprofessional - contract to sign had multiple significant errors Given keys to flat - very dirty and uninhabitable No empathy from agency - they will lie to your face Very rude, special mention for Alia Gould, does not know the meaning of good communication, stone cold heart and shameful that her and her cronies are allowed to work in the housing sector. Flat was not cleaned professionally - tried to arrange this ourselves but told we aren’t allowed. Broken mattress, alcohol bottles, hair in draws, terrible smell, broken wardrobe all ignored by management. Front door lock was broken and didn’t close properly and this didn’t seem to concern anyone either . I won’t make this a long post. In summary: 1. Do not rent/buy property with this agency 2. If you felt misled and are renting a property and don’t want it, don’t pay rent and contact the landlord directly in writing to say the reasons of being misled. 3. Please take my advice, I’m not joking when I say the period I had to deal with all this nonsense was the toughest in my life and I have been renting all over the country for 10 years.

Negative experience: This agency should not get even 1 star. Avoid at all cost working with this agency to rent out your property . Alia the branch manager for rent department is very rude and unhelpful . She does not care if you have an issue . Never returns your calls . I am the owner of a property which rented out my flat through this agency . They never return your call . Never reply to emails . The staff are rude . They still owe a payment to me and as I had no reply had to complaint to countrywide and perhaps if no satisfactory answer this goes to ombudsman. Waiting for their reply. But meanwhile please avoid this agency if you can . They are very unprofessional . I will not use them again.

Negative experience: What can I say, what an awful place. Took my holding deposit within hours and contact emails from Joe, only to go completely dead afterwards in sending a contract for an apartment that they apparently did not know, did not meet fire safety regulations. Would not refund money to my credit card and asked for bank details to do so. Alia, the Branch Manager confirmed twice that this had been processed and yet I am still waiting. I guess my Bank will need to deal with it as a fraudulent transaction. Do not use under any circumstances.

Fantastic experience: Just went through a very long and protracted sale and throughout the sales team were amazing. At the start Joe was the only estate agent who came to the flat who made me feel like I wasn't an inconvenience to their day, spent time to take me through the whole process and couldn't be more helpful, during viewings they provided clear feedback and also helped get the price we wanted. Throughout the long long time spent sorting the whole chain Debbie not only kept me up to date but was always on hand to answer questions and help chase people and I certainly felt like she drove it over the line. Very appreciative of their efforts throughout.

Negative experience: Horrendous experience with Bridgfords Leeds. One staff member in particular was terrible (outright lies, not responding to emails, renewing lease on my apartment even though I had expressly asked to not have it re-leased). From other reviews it seems like I am not alone in this problem with this staff member (a manager no less). In the end my apartment was rented to an individual without references who after 6 months of renting I asked Bridgfords to evict. They told me that they had done them weeks later I found out the tenant was refusing to leave because Bridgfords had promised he could stay. Eventually he stayed for an extra 6 months without paying a single £, then gave the anoartemt. To his friends to stay in when he left and Bridgfords refused to do anything to help. They even refused to share information to help me go through the courts to evict him. Abysmal service! DO NOT USE BRIDGFORDS LEEDS! Oh but they did offer me £300 for my troubles… lol. Needless to say we are going to the property ombudsmen. WARNING. DONT USE BRIDGFORDS LEEDS (unless your a tenant who wants 6 months free rent!)

Negative experience: Absolutely pathetic. Do not waste your time, effort or money on these incompetent agents that are in their letting department. We were rented a dirty flat (which they said they cleaned), upon leaving we were hit with a cleaning fee of 100 pound and a further damage fee 50 pound for damages that already existed before we moved in.

Negative experience: I like the other guy who recently just posted here had threats made to myself by the branch manager, I was told she would find my work place to see how I like it.... all because I left a google review about the nightmare experience renting with Bridgfords. It really is ironic when the company have the nerve to tell you the manager is upset and hurt by negative reviews and also saying it's threatening and unacceptable behaviour? But they deem their branch manager contacting ex tenants and threatening them and hurling abuse down the phone is not? Contradiction much? This Graham who is popping up replying to reviews and flat out lying saying they are not real customers? I think I am, I have all my flat contracts still and my names here if you want to do come tell lies to my face. I'm not afraid of the bully tactics made by this branch and the customer service at Bridgfords. And I'm looking forward to see what higher management have to say about the lies you are posting here to avoid truthful reviews. I've had numerous random people online contact me saying they have had the same issues too, all which are being compiled with the other evidence I have and being sent to the higher management of Countrywide PLC and higher authorities. Oh and to the guy who commented about the shifty behaviour regarding stolen tenants money and the manager owning multiple business? It sounds about right to me! After all all those stolen deposits have to go somewhere right?

It is also correct that we do not recognise many of these people as customers and none of them have tried to engage with us away from this platform, further affirming our view. Fantastic experience: Estate agent review We used Bridgfords to purchase a property in Leeds. I am very appreciative of Debbie and her efforts to chase all parties. Despite the long, drawn out process, we got there in the end. Viewings early on were very helpful and Debbie was flexible in when we were able to view to property after the offer had been accepted. Debbie has also been very helpful since moving into the property (eg utility bills etc). Other members of the sales team were also efficient in passing on messages and providing updates when asked. Fantastic experience: Recently purchased a flat through the sales team at Bridgfords. Despite it being a long process (due to myself being indecisive about what I wanted to purchase) Kian the agent I dealt with was a credit to the business. Continuously patient and helpful throughout the whole process. Also had the pleasure of dealing with Joe who was just as brilliant. Good customer service is a rarity nowadays but these 2 lads have perfected. Couldn’t recommend the sales team enough.

Negative experience: Absolute sham of a letting agency, after driving 90 miles for a flat viewing we were told it was cancelled 25 minutes before it was scheduled as they have no access. They offered us another viewing 2 hours later and after we waited an hour nobody was there to show us around any property. Avoid at all costs! Also Bridgfords, before replying saying you will take this to higher management like every other bad review for the past couple years, I’d much prefer the money for petrol for the 180 mile round trip, thanks.

Fantastic experience: Me and my friend went in today praying that we could find a home on such short notice, with quite a specific criteria too. We are both professionals just out of university, with very minimal time to find a new place. I literally cannot lie when I say what a credit to the company this team is. Specifically Jazz. Within an hour we had signed for our dream apartment, right in the heart of Leeds City Centre. As first time professional renters, she managed to guide us completely and remove any sense of worry that we had, offering us multiple solutions to the issue we had. Despite the STELLAR conversation and friendly team, the professionalism was next level. Just want to leave this review to other people that might be in a similar situation. The team is truly so kind and helpful; they couldn’t get more recognition from my friend and I. Again, a big thank you, and looking forwards to this tenancy (never felt like this before towards renting!!) :))

Negative experience: This looks like sham of an agency. And reading the reviews has confirmed my doubts.I have been ringing them mad for last four days to rent a place and they don’t have the time to take the call or give a call back. The agents i had connected with were Alia, hassan and Jasmine. They say they have so many enquiries that they can’t arrange a viewing and asked to send a holding deposit based on video. And they don’t have the time to confirm for that either. I’d recommend Linley and Simpsons. Much considerate and professional agents there. Update to this. Some more better suited agencies - Hunters, North property group.

Fantastic experience: So many of these reviews are so so wrong and hateful. Alia is definitely one of the most kind hearted estate agents in Leeds! From the point of a phone call to signing documents she was extensively supportive and her team is so sweet! As a student and a full time worker they made this so easy for me and fit everything around my timetable which I doubt anywhere else would ever do. I’ve spoken to many estate agents in Leeds and I can say with confidence that Alia is probably the only one I have any respect for as others have been so rude and ageist in acting like they have no time to listen to a situation. Negative experience: I was conscious of the mixed reviews of Brigfords when I decided to try them for letting. I was given an appointment by Jazz (Jasmine) for 4:20pm. I waited around only to be stood up! Jazz was fine emailing me throughout the day to confirm where we were meeting etc but didn't have the decency to tell me she wouldn't be showing up especially as she knew I'd travelled all the way from London! When I called the office her colleague told me viewings were cancelled and that she knew that "some" phone calls when out to let people know - clearly a cover up! I found Linley & Simpson to be far better than this unprofessional company.

Fantastic experience: I have dealt with this branch in Leeds since it was LS1 many years ago. In that time they have managed my portfolio and I have also purchased 2 apartments from them. I have always found them very pleasant to deal with and their knowledge of the Leeds city property market is undoubtedly the best of all the major city centre agents. I generally deal with Aaron, Alia and Debbie who are all great and very prompt whenever I have issues. The maintenance team are also very good and have had the same property managers for many years which should tell you what you need to know about the business as an employer. Always recommend to friends and family.

I listed one of properties with Bridgeford and they managed to rent it within no time! And they got me great tenants! The whole experience was great, I met up with the branch manager who was amazing, she knows the market and who to target. The staff were very helpful, I made the right choice. Negative experience: Terrible service. Bridgfords are undoubtedly the worst estate agent in Leeds in my opinion. Incompetent and not particularly bright. Bridgfords actually cold called me asking if i had any properties to rent. It happened that i did. They promised they could collect a key, then visit the property for an appraisal and then report back... still not heard anything so assume they simply forgot. The worst thing about this was the agent seemed offended when i asked her to confirm to me when they were going before they went.... 'of course, we'd always let you know first'... ironically thats the last I heard from her! (Since writing this review I've read some of the other reviews. I was amazed to read that the person I'd spoken to was actually the Branch manager!!! Wow... #Alia!)

Negative experience: They don’t even deserve one star, the worst proper agency in Leeds. I have been on street for three days because of the last minute checks that they should have been done few months ago. Very unprofessional office manager Alia instead of compensating me for airbnb I spent because of their problems and lack of communication she said it’s my problem and she can't offer any help. Hassan took over the move process and he literally has no clue about anything. They have increased the the rent 150 pounds two days before the move. Stay away from them.

Negative experience: Overall i had upto 5 different agents at different times contacting me about different things before moving in. The flat they rented out to me was dirty, mouldy, musty and had left over mouldy food in fridge and cupboards. It was not swept or kept in shape and i got ill from mould in the bedroom. The 'manager' was extremley rude and very unforgiving. Credit to Hassan who actaully knew what he was on about and did his best to help me until the manager took over. Would never do busniess again, very unproffesional.

Negative experience: Because of my recent experience with bridgfords,I would not recommend renting properties with Bridgfords. Inspite of telling them in writting that the offer we are making is subject to the condition that cleaning and repairs will be done before our moving date we were mislead and handed over the flat with none of the repairs done. If you will look in the condition of balcony you will be shocked. We were expecting extra mile customer service because we were moving in with a toddler but Bridgfords made sure to make our journey pathatic. Branch Manager's arrogant, misleading and dominating communication and working style will make sure you will take all the wrong decisions. She will shout on top of you and will say the other way around. No processes ,no proper communication and lies and manipulations at each step. We were also told not by her that she don't want to see us again in her office. We were not handed any inventory checklist, we were made to sign agreement by telling a lie that contractors are working on the site , they handed the wrong key and next day handed the right key, when we enter the flat they tell us nothing was done and now you raise repair requests in there portal. We asked for immediate termination of agreement and they made that journey super hard , mentally frustating and stressfull. We ended up paying one month rent, deposit and £628 relet fees for such an experience and there customer complaints team is speaking the same language as the bridgfords lettings team.The best they offered is £225 goodwill gesture where majority of mistakes are made by Bridgfords team and I have given them written requests. So as per my opinion please avoid letting with Bridgfords as they dont have process for anything and worst customer relations and management.

Negative experience: Bridgford's allow landlords who provide flats that are not fit for human habitation to use their services. I rented a flat in the Leeds Dock area which was not cleaned prior to the start of the tenancy, which led to mold in the freezer, rotting food residue in the fridge, and an infestation of carpet moths in the bedroom. It took nearly a week for a cleaner to deal with the first two problems. The moths took several weeks to remove because my landlord refused to pay for an additional tradesman to assist the pest control person in moving a heavy and fragile wardrobe. I had to threaten to involve Leeds City Council Environmental Control before the landlord agreed to fix the issue himself. Furthermore, on leaving the property, the landlord tried to claim for several defects in the property that were listed on the initial inventory (and therefore I am not liable for), which has led to a prolonged deposit dispute. Bridgford's are also disorganised, I did not receive my tenancy contract until the day before the tenancy was due to begin, which is very poor, compared to other letting agencies I have used before.

Negative experience: I have recently dealt with the company and found them to be extremely unprofessional. After seeing a flat that we contacted them to register our interest we were sent an application form for a different flat than the one we enquired about. Upon ringing again, we discussed the correct flat with a separate employee who informed us that the company 'don't really do application forms' but work on holding deposits alone, so if the holding deposit was paid then we would secure the flat. I asked if the employee could send me the details to pay the holding deposit, which I was told would be sent to the email address provided. Within an hour of ending the call the price of the flat was changed from £825 per calendar month to £900 per calendar month. Once again I called as I had still received no information despite ringing as soon as the advert was issued, and was further informed that the flat had now gone. The company was incredibly unprofessional and I would highly recommend avoiding any dealings with them.

Negative experience: The fake 5star reviews referencing Alia Gould are ridiculous. I rented with Bridgfords and I had the worst experience of my life. The branch manager (Alia Gould) is rude, she simply doesn't do her job and she failed to provide me with the tenancy agreement for 3 months. Oh and if you think you can reach out to the regional manager to complain, that's not going to happen either - they're pretty useless. I think the upper management should reconsider the way they hire / promote their employees.
