Negative experience: We let a property through them and when decided to sell we went with them as well. They were good at getting a buyer, however the sale hit issues with the lease, and the buyer pulled out. A second buyer pulled out after hearing about the first buyer pulling out. It felt like a total lack of active management from the agent during the “negotiations” and in particular, when the second buyer was spooked, I had to speak to the buyer to try to reassure him about the issue being a one off and not something that would stop the purchase normally. The agent seemed not to understand the issue nor made any effort to help the buyer or explain anything - felt like a total lack of wanting to help the buyer and us. we lost the sale. We moved agent, to Manning Stainton and the proactivity was so much better. Flat sold.

Fantastic experience: After a great experience purchasing a property, and the addition of Satty to the Stoneacre team, it was a no brainer to use them as our property management team. Negative experience: Currently living in a property that has no heating. Reported the issue nearly 3 weeks ago. Intercom system not working. Reported the issue 3 weeks ago. Paying quite a bit of money to live in a cold apartment that has no doorbell. UPDATE - Thursday 17th October: Radiators replaced (took 3 weeks since I reported it). Intercom system still not fixed (over 3 weeks since I reported it). UPDATE - Friday 31st October: Doorbell/intercom system reset and now working. Issue resolved in 1 month and 9 days.

Fantastic experience: I recently purchased a flat via Stoneacre in Chapel Allerton. As a first time buyer I was uncertain on how the process would unfold, however Katie and the team were very helpful. They would update me at key milestones and I felt very supported in the process.

Negative experience: Shocking attitude to tenant basics e.g. no hot water or electrics. They laughed on the phone when I asked how I was supposed to cook with a broken oven/stove unit. Got me to pay £300 emergency electrician call after the washing machine fire, and took £100 off my deposit when leaving for "cobwebs and dust". Make of that what you will.

Negative experience: Proceed with cautious when dealing with Stoneacre Properties. Extremely unreliable and unprofessional, waste of money and time. Would not recommend. Our experience has left us with a very negative impact. After our offer was accepted, we got a call stating that there was another buyer offering higher price and asked if we would like to match it, as we wanted the property we had no other choice but to accept it. Fast forward, the end result is that the sale fell through as the vendor no longer wanted to sell the property in the end. After paying for surveys and solicitors, we were left with nothing. Yes, a sale falling through isn’t the estate agency fault, fully aware it happens BUT this went on for 4 months, from the day our offer was accepted until we got clarity on what was going on. Surely as their client, the agency is responsible to find out what is going on. We had to constantly chase upon Katie Marshall to understand what was going on with the sale. We were met with “Out of Office” emails or “the vendor hasn’t responded”. To make things worse for us after receiving the horrible news of the sale falling through, they had the audacity to contact us on the following working day to ask if we would consider the agreed offer price (after renegotiating the agreed price previously). We obviously offered the initial offer and it took another 3 weeks to get an answer back from the agency??!! And of course the answer we got was still the same - The vendor no longer wants to sell the property- In the meantime I was contacted by another two members of staff asking me what is our position and giving me false hopes about the sale of the property. So instead of messing us about, wasting our time and sanity why didn’t they find out first what is the vendors position and leaving it there, but instead they contacted us again to ask about the sale. You should have sought the answers with the vendor before contacting us again. It was a horrible situation to be in and we still had to chase up on the agency every other day, phone calls and emails to get an answer. I would definitely not recommend this estate agency, they are very unprofessional, wasted 4 months on a sale, never kept us informed with their clients decisions. We wished we had never proceeded with this agency. As an agency they couldn’t even update the For Sale sign outside the property to “SOLD” leaving it to attract potential buyers. Very untrustworthy business. Stay away.

There was a tad bit confusing during the sale process though as we were not kept upto date if viewings were not going ahead or didn’t show up. And they were scheduling viewing to far in advance which caused the no shows. As soon as the property did get offers though there service was efficient and professional. Negative experience: I have recently closed down a 9-month property management contract with Stoneacre and have to say even for letting/estate agents these guys fall short. There have been countless instances where key pieces of information have not been communicated to me, resulting in cost to me or inconvenience for my tenant. The most egregious of all was not passing on to me that my tenant had provided written notice to end their contract leaving me with an empty property at short notice (breaching our contract). One of their agents also broke the front door lock by forcing the key and they had the audacity to charge it to me and not put it on their public liability insurance. I wholeheartedly do not recommend using Stoneacre, but if they come back to me with some reasonable compensation for the hundreds of pounds worth of costs they incurred to me I will reconsider this review.

Fantastic experience: As a first time private renter, I was positively surprised by how much help and understanding I received from the Stonecare agents - particularly from Carla North, and the man who showed us the property (John, maybe?). Now that we're fully settled in our new home, life is much easier. The only downside was the somewhat unsatisfactory condition of the property (some mould left behind, bubbling linoleum in the corridor), however this isn't necessarily the agents' fault, as they were transparent about everything and argued our case where possible; at the end we got exactly what we paid for, and maybe even more. If you are a first-time renter, I could not recommend this specific agency enough

Negative experience: Katie Marshall & Stoneacre Properties – Underhand and Untrustworthy. Potential Buyers Beware Update: Since posting this review, the other buyer withdrew from the sale. Stoneacre then contacted us to see if we were still interested. Given the lack of transparency, professionalism, and basic courtesy shown throughout, we declined. Unsurprisingly, the property is now back on the market, £6,000 cheaper than the original asking price. So much for the "quick sale" they claimed to be prioritising. We also received several messages from James, director at Stoneacre, who acknowledged our frustration but ultimately offered no real explanation or accountability. The core issues — why we were told our offer was accepted while other offers were still being entertained, why we were not informed when things changed, and why our financial information seemed to be used selectively — remain unresolved. His replies were defensive and disappointing, and only reinforced our decision not to move forward. The entire experience confirms our view. Buyers, proceed with extreme caution when dealing with this agency. ----- We had an offer accepted on a property through Stoneacre Properties, only to find out days later that the vendor had accepted someone else’s offer—submitted after ours. Shockingly, the agency allowed more viewings to take place after confirming our offer had been accepted. How is that even allowed? When we sought clarity, Katie Marshall was conveniently “out of office” the entire time the vendor was considering the other offer, and neither she nor Dov would respond to emails. Frankly, they were lying through their teeth. The whole experience felt completely underhand, with zero transparency or professionalism. Potential buyers, beware—this agency does not seem to act in good faith.

Fantastic experience: I would like to share the fantastic service I experienced with Stoneacre selling my property. Their communication as excellent from start to finish, they responded timely to any questions or requests, their understanding of the process shone through as they walked me through the sale, they were professional and kind.

Negative experience: Honestly the worst experience we’ve had. We rented a property that was managed by Stoneacre and seemed we had nothing but problems. We moved in on the 20th December 2024 after a quick process with Carla. We immediately found that the boiler and the oven weren’t working - to say they do checks before move in, I can’t see how this was missed? They had contractors come out to look at it and told us we would need a new boiler part and new oven. We were left over the Christmas and new years period with no oven and a broken boiler. We sent multiple emails and calls to our property manager Bethany but unfortunately it still took them 4 weeks to resolve these issues. We were also told by two members of staff that the apartment came with one allocated parking space. A few weeks in we received an email with a parking complaint which I asked to be looked into. We were told they would look into this but came back almost 1 month later to advise we had another parking complaint and that our apartment did not come with a parking space. If we had been told the correct information we would’ve never gone ahead with this apartment as we have 2 cars and was situated in a busy area. Stoneacres lie had caused us nothing but stress and anxiety for up until we moved out. We were also told we could not use the visitors space yet they allowed someone else from the apartments to park in the spot every day. We are extremely disappointed with the lack of communication from the property manager and the amount of times we had to chase things up. Also the lack of information provided regarding the parking was very deceitful. We also feel that we weren’t treat fairly compared to the other tenants in the building. We ended up making the decision to terminate the tenancy as we were so unhappy with the service provided. I would also like to say that on multiple occasions we called stoneacre and had staff laughing and playing around whilst on the phone - not very professional! We are so glad we do not have to deal with stoneacre anymore and would not recommend them to anyone wanting to rent.

Fantastic experience: I had great experience with Stoneacre Properties. Found it very easy to find the place I wanted and Carla North did a great job to help me with everything. She did a great service, talking to her was easy and she was very nice at all times. The apartment when I moved in was very clean so I was very impressed. I highly recommend Stoneacre Properites to anyone looking for either new apartment or a house as there are lovely people willing to help with everything.
