Fantastic experience: I cannot thank enough Ken and his team at Renton & Parr, in particular Michelle and Sonia who were very prompt in all enquiries made of them. They kept me in the loop at every stage of the sale process and, to be honest, went above and beyond my expectations.

Negative experience: This review solely relates to Tom. He is the most obnoxious, patronising and frankly rude person I think I’ve ever had any dealing with. He interrogated my other half (who at the time was 7 months pregnant) about the funds as we are a young successful couple buying our family home, he wouldn’t accept we could afford it. He then told my other half she shouldn’t be speaking with one of his advisors and should only deal with him. I could go on…

Fantastic experience: Renton and Parr were the agents selling a property that I recently purchased. They were extremely professional and very friendly. I had many stressful moments during the process, but Sally was very kind and helped so much. Unlike the agents I chose to market my property, there is always someone in the branch to chase up any snagging issues and help. Too often, agents move you to a move/process manager after you sell. Many work remotely and are difficult to get hold of. It was a real godsend to have someone that I could actually talk with face to face.

They also hold a significant database of prospective buyers who met the criteria of house we were selling. 10 appointments were arranged within a couple of days and we sold immediately. I had previously had my home for sale with YOPA for about 10 months who mis-sold us services, and did zero following up of viewings and offers. Switched to R&P and maybe luck of the draw but offered and sold the first weekend on the market. Negative experience: Over promised, under delivered. Renton and Parr did no viewings, and effectively refused to do any. They did not really negotiate with my buyer and left me with a very poor deal. Personally, people were friendly, but this just allowed my buyer to get a much better price for them and a very poor price for me. I have to continuously chase Renton and Parr for any progress. The process with Renton and Parr was alas, not a pleasant one, there are better estate agents in the area.
