Fantastic experience: I've used Northern Property for the past 6 years to rent and eventually sell my property in Belfast. The rental team are super responsive and knowledgeable and kept things running smoothly while I was living abroad. They kept me informed and up to date on everything needed to keep the property in good shape and my tenants happy. Negative experience: Absolute disgrace. Phoned to enquire about a property to be told it had been “sold but as it was a repo it will still show as available until the bank signs off” only for my sister to then call to be told it’s “still available”. Turns out they won’t do business if you have lodged a complaint before. Shambles and not one of them can do their job.

Negative experience: Had first months rent and a deposit with a good credit score and proof of income etc as a single guy looking for a 1 bedroom apartment. Because I had no guarantor I was outright not even considered due to this. How can anyone get a home these days? Sorry that I don't have the support of a guarantor, not everyone has support around them. Eventually found a place that accepted my circumstances and now they got my money instead of northern property.

Negative experience: Absolute disgrace of a company would not recommend anyone renting property of these people most unprofessional

Negative experience: Disgrace of a company. An absolutely arduous month long process to be approved for a property only for it to be taken away last minutes. First hurdle was I needed a guarantor. I got one but they were refused, then I was told the guarantor had to be a homeowner. I got past that obstacle and had second guarantor approved. Had a months rent and the required deposit taken off me. I had been given a move in date so decided to order furniture to arrive the Tuesday I was moving in. I was so happy then they decide to throw another complication at me. I need 2 incomes which I was able to do and had bank details of second income ready to forward to them. Then told that person needed to be on the lease which I had arranged. It appears to have been withdrawn after being told by the agent I hesitated with my response. The property was relisted immediately after and I'm being told I have to wait a week to receive my money back that they have held for a month. I'm devastated. The agent put up barrier after barrier. They are either extremely inexperienced at their job or I'm sure reader can make up their own mind. From my experience I would advise anyone to avoid Northern Property

Fantastic experience: Very professional people.

Negative experience: Very disappointed in Northern Property. Very nice and available at the start but, in my experience, once you need repairs done in the house they stop replying and you have to chase them via emails and phone calls. I have a leaking radiator since February and it's only now (October) that they have sent someone to repair it. Also many other jobs including a boiler that needs serviced are beeing delayed for weeks. I thought this was a serious estate agency but in my opinion it doesn't look after the tenant.

Positive experience: Estate agents. Not always as knowledgeable as you'd like. More helpful than UPS at least.

Negative experience: Robbers

Negative experience: Asked could I view a house multiple times 2 weeks ago and was told "someone will call you back" and nothing. Again today I rang about another house they had up and was told "someone will call you back". You can guess by now I didn't get a call back. Don't know why they do this. Maybe if I took my mortgage out through them the colour of money might get me a call back?

Fantastic experience: I'm a rental customer, have only had to call northern a few times. They're incredibly friendly & couldn't be more helpful. If all estate agents were like Northern, the world would be a better place.

The process of buying my first home could not have been made any easier thanks to the unbelievable work from Alison at Northern property. I had interactions with multiple other estate agents for different properties that I made offers on and the approach from Alison at Northern property was head and shoulders above anything I had experienced to that point. This lady was responsible for carrying the sale through from start to finish and was always on hand to resolve any potential delays with myself, the vendor, solicitors and mortgage brokers. 8 weeks from first contact until I received the keys to my home. Alison's professionalism reassured me at every point and the advice she gave on areas were I had no experience such as surveys and other technical aspects regarding the purchase of the property was invaluable. Our phone calls were answered and our emails were replied to very promptly which isn't always the case for some letting agents at a busy time such as the summer. To top it all off, we were greeted at the property by Rowan on our moving day and we were gifted with a bottle of prosecco and a pizza voucher which was fantastic. Negative experience: A cowboy outfit for sure. They will continue to market a property even after telling a prospective buyer that it's "sale agreed". Sometimes, they won't even tell you if your offer has been accepted - they just forget sometimes. They will not always pass on higher offers to vendors. They don't know anything about the properties they're selling - Niamh told me a house had no issues, while the paint was peeling off the wall behind her because of the mould. Estate agents are not known for their honesty, but Northern Property is a truly shameless operation. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

I was buying a property from one of her clients and Even though Jennifer wasn't my mortgage advisor I was able to call or email her anytime for help. She always got straight back to me and helped put my mind at ease or guide me in the right direction of things I needed answered. Even after the deal was done, I emailed and asked when I could get the sign taken down and she had someone out the next day. Negative experience: Terrible place to rent from and with. Any problems I had where NEVER dealt with, very unprofessional. Anything on my end with my property had to be sorted out quickly. With a young baby and no heating in the property for the first few days it was an absolute disgrace. My eyes where definitely opened renting from these cow boys!!
