Negative experience: I have enquired about 4 properties recently and each experience was negative. 2 were already gone when I tried to book a viewing,1 most certainly was not as described and had extremely outdated photos to advertise it and the Iast one was gone within hours of it being on their website. Thankfully I sold my own property with a much more professional and reliable agent.

Negative experience: I had a very unprofessional experience. We had a viewing scheduled for 12:00, but we arrived at 12:05, only 5 minutes late, because it was hard to find the location. We called the agency to check in, and they told us that the agent had just left. Apparently, they didn't wait for even 5 minutes or contact us to inform us. They didn’t offer to reschedule the viewing at all. As serious buyers, we were disappointed that the agent's lack of professionalism caused the owner to miss the chance for us to make an offer. Additionally, the property would require at least 5 minutes to be properly closed if an agent had been there to show it. I would advise against selling your property through this agency.

Negative experience: I listed my house for sale with McGranaghan Estate Agents in Sept 2023 as I hoped to purchase another house that they had listed for sale. A potential buyer was found for my property within weeks, survey was carried out & no issues were identified so all was well. After a lot of delays with my proposed purchase property... In Feb 2024, I found out the house I planned to purchase had major issues relating to the septic system - the whole system needed to be replaced. I chased the seller & the septic tank surveyor on a number of occasions & fed back to McGranaghan's on this throughout numerous phone calls - with hindsight perhaps this should have been their role but I was keen to purchase the property so continued chasing this to come to a quick resolution myself as the agent did not do much follow up on my behalf. In May, I discovered my buyers had pulled out of my property purchase & were buying another - I informed McGranaghan's as they had no idea about this - despite me repeatedly asking them if my buyers were OK with the delay & them telling me they were in regular contact with my buyers & although they weren't overly happy they would be willing to hold on. Once a resolution was reached on the septic tank issue & my potential buyers had pulled out, I had to request that they relist & readvertise my property as they did not do this proactively. I had to request this on two occasions before any promotional actually happened. I also instructed not one but two surveyors to value the proposed purchase property - both came to the conclusion that they could not place a value on the property due to historic landfill issues at an adjacent property. My first concern would be.... as McGranaghan's had this property listed five years ago for sale & it had gone sale agreed back then - how did they not know about these issues?!? I did ask & they advised me that they did not know. My second concern.... I note that the same property has gone sale agreed with this agent again - i can't help but wonder if the new proposed purchasers have been made aware of the said issues as wouldnt want anyone to be left in the same situation I have been. Almost one year on from I started the sale of my property and the purchase of another through this agent, I have got no where. I requested that my property was taken off the market temporarily to allow me to find another property to purchase at the start of July. At the end of July, two potential buyers showed up at my front door for a viewing - this had not been agreed with me & was quite embarrasing for all concerned. McGranaghan's blamed the viewers for showing up without times & dates being confirmed with them - however the potential viewers disagreed & told me the viewing had been set up by the agents. Once I complained about this & raised the fact there seems to be serious communication issues happening internally at McGranaghan's, I was sent a bill for removing my home from the market - despite me previously explaining that this was a temporary removal from the market as I needed to source another property. The invoice also stated that their costs would increase by 5% each day from two days from the date on the invoice - this did make me laugh as I received the invoice by post two weeks after the date on invoice. I have paid this but really am unhappy with the service I received from this agent. Their signs are still in my front garden and have yet to be collected! My advice to others sourcing an agent would be to look elsewhere. Following my experience - i have been left with surveyor, estate agents & solicitor fees to pay despite no house sale or purchase. To be honest the whole experience of working with this particular agent, lack of communication & the stress it caused me has put me off moving My advice would be to shop around as you will find a much better agent who will actually do what they are paid to do - not sure McGranaghan's actually did.

Fantastic experience: First time using Mcgranaghans estate agents and I couldn’t be more pleasantly surprised. The level of professionalism I have received has been nothing short of amazing. I have spoken to a few members off staff and each member were wonderful, keeping me up to date on the sale of my house. I haven’t had to lift my phone to find anything out as they are all on the ball. Leah has been my main point of contact and I couldn’t fault her in anyway, amazing:). Selling your house is stressful enough but with the right estate agents it has been the opposite. I only wish I used these guys with my previous houses.

Negative experience: We were almost set on using McGranaghans to sell until they came out to my house. When we were buying our house from them 6 years ago we thought they did a good job of advocating for the seller (this was Maria specifically). However McGranaghans grossly undervalued my house, did not respond to my 5 in-person requests to take down the original listing from their website when I bought my house 6 years previously. They only had a quick look over the house and made a lazy estimate. After checking recently sold similar houses in my area I quickly realised I should get another agents estimate. They were no help in answering any of my questions, not reassuring and said they were listing my house at a lower price to “generate interest”. No thanks. We went with another agent who had our house sold within a day at a much fairer price and was able to help with all of our queries. Edit: I’ve had to edit my review to respond. I’d like to add my house listing has only just today been removed after a negative review, from 6 years ago, both myself and my husband rang and asked in person for the listing to be removed from the website, not PropertyPal, and not all conversations were recorded as they would have been in person too as I originally noted. I did however also phone directly, you should probably go back and review your communications system.. I expressed concern that I had asked multiple times for it to be removed and it’s disappointing that only after a negative review it finally is removed. In terms of the valuation, I don’t know how any of the information you’ve added is relevant, you undervalued my house by over 20%, and many other very similar houses in the area sold for the exact price we sold for at the same time. Your response is disappointing and unprofessional, the fact that it was seven months ago does not matter at all, as the other agent valued my home the same week and showed me many examples of homes sold the same month for the same price. Our circumstances changed at the time and we decided to sell our house for the exact same valuation amount a few months after your original valuation. I will also note the firm we went with were also extremely helpful and knowledgeable about particular subjects I had also asked McGranaghans a few days previously, and unfortunately McGranaghans fell short. Your review system is not a great one, if it only allows 24 hours for someone to provide an accurate review, given for most it may take a few days to organise a few valuations? You may have sold other properties in my area, but you have certainly lost my business and I will not be recommending.

I had some extra steps involved in purchasing, such as a slightly delayed timeline on my end due to contracting a building surveyor (outside of lender survey), and Mark was understanding and relayed the information and reasoning to the vendor, helping to make clear it was not something that would cause issues for completion.
