Fantastic experience: FIRST CLASS SERVCIE!! We have used Michael Chandler's services for a number of years to manage a rental property that we owned. Negative experience: I was not willing to write a review but after seeing Michael Chandler’s owner reply saying I’m not on their system, I felt I should write about our extremely unprofessional and unpleasant experience. We rented a property from August 2023 to July 2024. Everything went smoothly, but as soon as it came to returning our deposit after we vacated the property, Michael Chandler quoted unrealistic quotes. Exit inspection was not an accurate description of how we actually left the property. Quoting almost 150 GBP for cleaning as well as 150 GBP for gardening felt like a theft. I’m thankful to companies like TDS NI, who protect our deposit. Adjudicator from TDS NI did agree with that quotations quoted by Michael Chandler were unacceptable! After the TDS NI verdict in favour of us, Michael Chandler finally called us to find out why I rated them 1 star on Google. I guess the Google review mattered more than their actual unprofessionalism. The whole experience was unprofessional and unpleasant. Having dealt with 4 letting agencies in UK, this has been by far our worst experience.

Positive experience: I would like to thank Ann (/e) at Chandlers who has been in attendance at a few properties I've been viewing in Belfast recently. Ann has been most helpful each time & tried to answer any questions I had in relation to each one. Considering the 15 minute time restraint per viewing, I found her very approachable, patient & good humoured in her role. A good member of staff is what any business needs. Fantastic experience: It was geat to work with Stuart Ferguson. Stuart has an in-depth understanding of the property market in NI from the past to the present and future. He offered lots of insights into my property, e.g. proposing prices, how to do a good marketing, when is a good timing to list, monitoring and supervising the transaction process. He is very professional and efficient, everything is very organised, including recording details of each viewing and the feedback of each viewer. He is highly responsible and reliable to work with.

Fantastic experience: If you're moving house or even thinking about it, you need to call Michael Chandlers and ask to speak with Stuart. What a guy! From the first time he called to our home, we knew we wouldn't be going with anyone else to complete the sale of our property. With my wife and I both working full time, Stuart created a WhatsApp group to keep in touch with us during the day. Stuart and I had a weekly catch-up on a Friday, and towards the end of the process, I looked forward to our wee chat, which revolved more so around our love of food and wine as opposed to the house! My advice would be, don't get sucked in to a race to the bottom when it comes to % rates that Estate Agents charge. I found MC rates to be a relatively small fee versus the service we received. Top experience... and I got a fancy bag. ps Stuart told me to post this, and he would give me 12 bottles of red wine. I jest. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: This is our 2nd time using Michael Chandler Estate Agents, 1st was for the purchase of our home in 2019 and recently to sell it. Clare Wylie was our appointed agent in the sale, and boy was she amazing from start to finish. Our onward chain was a difficult and lengthy one but Clare's knowledge and guidance was the one constant we had along the way.. Clare is a huge asset to Michael and the team. Also Special mention to Michael himself for the initial engagements and photos, to Anne for the huge welcome she gave us during our viewings on the purchase of the house, I'm sure she did the same for the interested parties in the sale too as the feedback was fantastic. Positive experience: So far, so good. We had a few issues at the start of our tenancy, but they were resolved. They are a hands-off estate agent, which helped a lot with settling into the house. Negative experience: I had a terrible experience with this agency. They withheld our deposit stating we could potentially be charged more, despite the issues they highlighted being consistent with those noted on the initial inventory sheet. Alan was slow to reply to emails, requiring constant follow-ups. Furthermore, issues raised at the start of the tenancy were never addressed. Overall, the lack of communication, professionalism and care caused a lot of unnecessary stress. Would not recommend.

Fantastic experience: I would really highly recommend Michael Chandler estate agents. We sold our house with them recently, and also used them to secure a rental as a stop gap while we search for our next home. The team in both the sales and rental department are friendly, professional, very efficient, and went above and beyond to provide a 1st class service. The marketing material they produced (especially the video) for the sale of our house was some of the best marketing I’ve seen out there (and I’ve seen a lot over the last 6 months while searching for a new home). Stuart was amazing throughout the whole process. Unfortunately there were some delays with the sale due to the chain, but he was always on top of things, keeping the momentum going. I was also very impressed with Grace, Ann and Lauren in the rental department. They were very knowledgeable about any of the properties I saw, and sounded like they had great relationships with all the landlords. Lauren got a deal done on the property we ended up going with in a matter of hours. Great team of people to work with, which is invaluable during such a stressful process!

Fantastic experience: I have been using Michael Chandler Estate Agents for several years, for both the rental and management of my properties and I can honestly say that the rental team are brilliant. Lauren, Daniel and Grace are worth their weight in gold. Nothing is ever too much trouble for them. The marketing photos always highlight the properties in their best possible light - whilst still maintaining an accurate representation. There is regular communication between the agents and myself throughout the course of each tenancy. Their extensive knowledge of the local rental markets mean that each time a property is relisted it is always re-let in a swift and timely manner. Both the check-in and exit inspections are always photographed thoroughly and the reports highlighting the condition of each room are always very detailed. I could not ask for a better rental team to look after my properties. 5*.

Fantastic experience: Buying our first home was a very daunting experience. Chris has been amazing throughout the entire process. We had a really horrible solicitor who turned this into a massive ordeal but Chris was incredibly supportive every time we hit rock bottom. I have no intentions of ever buying another house again (I am still processing the stress of moving into the last one) but if I had to, I would hope to have Chris as my estate agent again. I cannot recommend him highly enough. 10/10

Fantastic experience: I’m glad I chose Chandler to sell my property. Gareth and Chris were realistic, sincere, and understanding and kept me up to date along the way. I will certainly chose Chandler again.

Negative experience: Rent increases are 12% minimum. You can’t drop emails about issues but are forced to use a portal. Even with all their fancy systems, they don’t do a good job comparing entry and exit inventories trying to put blame for existing issues on you and rip you off.

He could not have been more attentive and was always there to answer any questions we had. Negative experience: Extremely unimpressed with the operations of Michael Chandler and their estate agent Gareth , don't have the decency to keep you in the loop with their properties for sale, they'd rather you waste your annual leave, time and petrol to find out. Wouldn't recommend whatsoever !
