Fantastic experience: Rea Estates managed my property for almost a decade, and I’ve always been incredibly happy with their service. As I don’t live in Belfast, having a team I could completely trust gave me real peace of mind. Any maintenance issues were dealt with quickly and efficiently, and I never had to worry about a thing. More recently, I decided to sell the property and Johnny took charge of the sale. It was honestly the quickest and least stressful property sale I’ve ever experienced. From start to finish, everything was handled professionally, smoothly, and with great communication throughout. I cannot recommend Rea Estates highly enough. A fantastic company whose staff really cares about their clients.

Rea's previously rented the property, and have always been equally efficient in that as well

Negative experience: Real looters hiding under the blanket of letting agency. I stayed at one of the houses rented by Rea estates in BT15. The house was haunted with mould, leaking and horrible conditions. They disguised me by painting the property just before the viewing. On several occasions I sent emails with photos and other proofs stating the same. Myself and my family were sick due to the intense mould and sevear conditions at the property. However, nothing has been done to resolve it. At the end of the tenancy they stole my deposit by grabbing 304 pounds for cleaning and 220 pounds as rent arrear. I never had missed the payment. However, they don't have any ethics in this business. I humbly request everyone who use their service to be very careful while going to renting on the properties letting by Rea Estates. If not you will regret at the end and they will cheat you without any mercy.

Negative experience: I have contacted Rea Estates on several occasions regarding their tenant and noise complaints. They don’t seem bothered as this has went on for months now even after I have showed them proof. Their tenant tried to threaten me when I confronted them about the disturbances. I made Rea Estates aware of it too and the response you could just tell was not very professional, considering it’s been months now you would think they would take action to address the issue. Instead they say they will speak to the tenant and then subsequently the tenant will antagonise even more.

Fantastic experience: Very efficient and friendly letting agent. Found a new tenant that was suitable in no time at all, rental was 6days turnaround from one tenant leaving to the new one taking keys. Also the rental value they aimed for was achieved and was higher than I had expected. Jenna was in contact at all stages and was brilliant at getting everything sorted

Negative experience: I’m a former tenant who spent almost 6 years in a property rented out by Rea’s. They are impossible to communicate with, they fail at managing the property and liaising between tenant and landlord, they don’t care about your living standard and let the landlord away with renting a properly in a terrible standard. They failed to manage and repair the property and issues throughout my tenancy, they fail to provide a refund of money I am owed due to an overpayment in rent. I received a notice to quit without any reasoning and I had 8 weeks to find a new home to live and uproot my life, 2 days post move out the properly had been advertised to rent for almost double the rent I was paying. I had done the house up JUST before said notice had been presented to me, therefore not only do they owe me overpayment they also tricked me out of money for doing the house up and then kicking me out. Disgusting and disgraceful estate agents and I hope people stay away for their own health and sanity.

Negative experience: Place is an absolute joke. Rents through the roof with some of the most shady landlords to boot. Avoid if possible. Homelessness would be more fun than dealing with these clowns.
