Fantastic experience: Im going through the process of letting from this company my inital contact was with Jennifer the phone call wasn't rushed she engaged in conversation reassured me and actually spoke to me like a real human she has so much empathy and I know shes a beautiful person because her personality is shining - the viewing and referencing has been communicated via Ross who has been nothing but professional efficient clear and supportive theyre completely non judgemental and honesly I am SO relieved to be starting my rental journey with 7 keys because for the first time in my year long search I feel confident and reassured in who I will be dealing with thank you SO much for everything so far <3

Negative experience: If I could leave less than one I would, I contacted to view a property they had on the market in Sunderland which I was told was taken off the market fair enough out of their control. However I asked for a valuation to be done on mine and that is where the problems started. It was all booked on for today at 12:00 with Ross. He first rang to say he would do a desktop valuation rather than coming out as he had been in flats like mine before so knows that they are like, I corrected him in telling him I had a house and that it has been fully refurbished he said ok I will see you at 12. 5 minutes later I get a call back from Ross again stating that he can do a desktop valuation on my house rather than come out as it’s a long way from Gateshead to come. I said I would prefer in person. The valuation has been cancelled and they are not coming wasting my time and clearly they don’t want to be putting the property in the market. AVOID if you don’t want your time wasted and want an estate agent to come out

Fantastic experience: I recently had correspondence with Seven Keys Estate Agents in Gateshead, and I cannot recommend them highly enough—particularly Ross. Over the past month, they have been extremely helpful in providing additional documentation required for Newcastle City Council’s Selective Licence Scheme. More recently, while preparing my self-assessment tax submission, I realised that some documents were missing (likely due to my own administrative oversight). They promptly reissued everything without hesitation and went above and beyond by supplying a clear, customised summary of rental income for both of my properties, tailored specifically to the last tax year. Their efficiency, professionalism, and willingness to help made the entire process seamless.

Great communication with prompt responses, efficient dealing with (fortunately, so far only minor) house maintenance issues making my landlord life easy and stress free, that's exactly what I want to get by paying an agency! Negative experience: Went to view a rental property back in May, fell in love with it so decided to take it , I went through the reference process and provided excellent references from previous landlords totalling 6 years , I also had a homeowner guarantor with an excellent credit score who was also paying the rent on the property, I was due to get the keys on June 1st , they marked the property as LET AGREED on not only there own website but on the market too . I measured up for furniture and curtains etc , I've bought curtains and furniture for the place I've sold my other furniture ready and I was all set to move . The day I was meant to get the keys came and I was told they were waiting on the landlord today is the 6th of June and I've just been informed that the landlord has turned me down because I was the victim of fraud a few years ago I had to pay money upfront to this company that was my first week rent which they are refusing to refund SCAM GUYS BE WARNED !!!!!!!!!

Fantastic experience: I wanted to use an estate agent I trusted and someone who wasn't a smarmy sales person. I had met other estate agents and while they just badmouthed other agents I knew they wouldn't be getting any business from me. I also didn't want to pay the high street prices. I paid in advance for our sale and Ross and all the team at Seven Keys were helpful and responsive from day one and all the way through. Ross always returned my calls if he wasn't available, we got lots of feedback from viewings. I even got responses on evening and weekends. As I do think they genuinely care about their customers. Our house sold 3 times but the buyers pulled out, (Not Seven Keys fault) and they never once pressured us to lower the asking price. They were very quick with chasing enquires and dealing with the buyers and solicitors. They saw the sale through to the very end and we got the same great service the whole time. We even got a higher price than we originally wanted. I know if we went with another agent we would of been pressured to lower the price. If I ever sell again I would definitely use Seven Keys again. Negative experience: Warning to potential buyers that this estate agent is extremely unresponsive and unprofessional. We entered a bid on a property and were told that other bids were still coming in for the same house. We had to call up three times over two days before we actually got an acknowledgement of our bid. Following that we were told the house would be entering a sealed bid process because there was so much demand for it. Loads of goading and not telling us the full truth about what was going on. So we prepared a letter and envelope to drop down to the office only to be told the day before that this was no longer happening and a higher bid had been placed and could we instead just email our best offer asap. Last minute pressure! We emailed and again, no response for days. I appreciate all the good reviews on here about them getting the best price for their vendors but the way we were treat as potential buyers was abhorrent and I would go anywhere near this estate agent ever again. Treat people nicely and respond to them and then you might build up a good reputation with sellers and buyers alike.
