Negative experience: Absolutely awful letting agency! NEVER send them a Holding Deposit as they’ll reject your application and come up with loads of excuses why they cannot refund you. Absolutely disgusting behaviour, you all should be ashamed of yourselves.

Fantastic experience: Although Miller Sales did not act on behalf of my sale they were actually acting on behalf of my onwards purchase. Miller couldn't do enough to help. Especially Scott, he was extremely helpful throughout the whole process. Nothing was too much for him to try to accommodate. He went above and beyond to try to answer any queries and problems which occurred along the way, which is more than I can say for the agents I used to act on my sale. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend Miller to anyone looking at selling their home, and if your buying a house listed through Miller, we'll your in luck. Fantastic experience: Miller was great from the get go Hannah - was amazing went throught all our details and got us a good morgate in no time at all Codie - Showed us around a few properties and helped us find the right one. Emma - Took over liaising with all parties as the sale was going through and coordinated everything throughout Emma was great. I called and asked for info or updates and she went away and got it. Positive experience: All in all a good service fork the sales team and the mortgage consultant Amy. I registered my interest in one property and explained what i was looking for within the market. The next day i was called with a new property they had coming in and was given first viewing. Because i had already been in and made the first steps i was already stood in good stead to be accepted for this property. Negative experience: I am writing to express my profound disappointment regarding my recent experience with the property purchase process of 53 Runway Road, Plymouth, PL68DT, with Miller and Countrywide, Plymouth, who are the vendor's agent. After months of searching for a property, I was thrilled when my offer of £325,000 was accepted for the property matching the property offer as advertised (325,000 pounds). I invested not only my time but also considerable financial resources—over £1,000—into this endeavour on surveys and searches, only to face an unexpected and disheartening situation on the exchange date. To my astonishment, I was informed that my initial offer was no longer acceptable and that I needed to increase my bid. This request came as a complete shock, especially given that my offer had been accepted two months prior. It is incredibly frustrating to be gazumped at such a critical juncture, particularly without any substantial reason provided for the sudden change in circumstances. As a buyer relying on a mortgage, I had budgeted and planned my finances carefully. The callousness of the vendor and the rogue attitude of the estate agent in this situation have left me feeling bad. It's hard to understand how they could expect me to simply increase my offer with no justification, especially at such a late stage in the process.

Negative experience: Very rarely do I write reviews but I'm absolutely baffled as to how this potential purchase has ended up. The property address was muddled up, the survey was booked in and mortgage valuation conducted to which the offer was accepted to only be told this had to be re-done due to the fact the property address was mixed up. I had reached out on a Tuesday about this issue and did not get a call back, they did not pick-up the phone from Tuesday to Saturday and when they did pick it up I had to make a total of 17 phone calls over those 4 days and not a single call-back. On top of this, the sellers solicitor could not even get the contracts to my solicitor and as a result I had to reach out for them myself and forward them to my solicitor. As a result, I then had to pay additional fees to get this rectified and had to rebook a valuation, to which I did not in the end and pulled out of the sale as I felt completely disrespected after being offered £500 discount after I'd lost £2,500. Avoid at all costs, not worth the headache and go to any other agents in Plymouth.

Negative experience: Poor communication, seems they hire people who have no customer service skills and do not get back to emails. Wouldn't recommend. Typical Countrywide branch! Cody doesn't reply to any of his emails and constantly spams you with properties which you keep saying aren't even in the parameters that you asked for!

Fantastic experience: As a first-time renter in the UK, Ellie has been exceptionally supportive and helpful every step of the way. We appreciate her patience with my wife and me, as she understood that it was our first time renting a place in the UK. I was in a rush because I had to move to Plymouth within a couple of weeks, and Ellie was the most responsive person I encountered out of everyone I contacted. I highly recommend working with Ellie Whitehall at Miller Countrywide if you are looking to rent or buy a property in Plymouth. Tip for a first time renter in UK: 01. As per my understanding zero deposit scheme is good if your renting a place at a higher price and for a longer period. Please study well about zero deposit option before going ahead with the same as the fee is non refundable. Decision is up to you. 02. Electricity, water, council tax, etc., are your own responsibilities. Therefore, when creating accounts with the utilities, please do so at least 2 weeks before moving in. (Although the agent provided the Tili app, it didn't work well for me.) If you're not receiving a response from anyone else, consider calling E.ON Next for electricity and gas. This was recommended for me by a colleague of Ellie. They can create an account within minutes, and the connection is guaranteed within 3-4 days. Negative experience: Unfortunately the member of staff dealing with my purchase has been very difficult to get in contact with, emails often don't get a reply for 3 or 5 days, queries get ignored, I've left numerous voicemails and what should have been a simple purchase has taken months and months. I can't help but feel that if the estate agent would have helped chase up solicitors, it would have gone through by now. Instead I'm left homeless.
Negative experience: **DO NOT USE ** Seen a property listed for £1,100 and got a viewing. After I viewed the property I was told that I could offer more than the asking price as other people was. WHY POST A PROPERTY THATS ACTUALLY A BIDDING WAR!!! Surely it is illegal and will be looking into this further

Fantastic experience: The current rental market is difficult when looking for a new property. Most agents do not even bother getting back to people as interest is so high. Dealing with Ellie was a totally different experience. Every stage was dealt with efficiently and professionally. From viewing to receiving the keys, just over two weeks. Many thanks to Ellie and Millers
Negative experience: I am still in dispute with Plymouth branch a year after after they were taken on by me to let my house out. It was over-valued to get me in the door and although I was told they had a huge waiting list, they had no tenants to show the property to and when I did eventually get viewings it was obvious they would not pass credit checks. Katie was convincing at first, reassuring me Millers would take the stress out of the situation for me but 2 months later and Millers had not even done the basics: EPC, EICR, Gas safety etc, YourMove ended up organising instead, in spite of Millers being the original/main agent! My keys were handed out to tradesmen by Katie and not kept track of and I was horrified to learn on the day of signing the tenancy that three sets were missing! Almost immediately after this, the branch manager informed me the house had been accessed by someone not connected with the agency and the area manager told me Millers should have advised lock changes as standard along with the EPC etc. I eventually got suitable tenants via Millers after a three month void and just after moving in, my tenants and I got an email from Katie saying the guy she'd engaged to get some essential work done (the original Millers contractors never materialised) was going to come in and rip his work out - I also got threatening texts because I'd delayed payment to him because he hadn't completed the work, something I'd evidenced in detail. Katie wasn't warning us about this man, she was supporting the tradesman! I related everything to the manager but was met with apathy and nothing was done. Instead it was escalated to be 'investigated' by Millers - the investigation immediately ignored any conversations that had taken place and didn't reference any follow up with managers etc and completely ignored the threats and unprofessional conduct of Katie. At that time I just didn't have the emotional strength to keep fighting Millers; I felt so ignored and the issues completely white-washed and kicked into the grass but I complained again recently so the investigation was re-investigated! Again: nothing to see here, no complaint to answer, just poor communication (as if that doesn't create other situations or consequences!) Since going through this I've spoken with another agent who used to work at this branch and they confirmed how appalling it is. I heard Katie left months later but her colleagues were completely unaware of any disciplinary and I don't believe her treatment of me and my tenants had any consequences. I suppose the only saving grace is Millers were so awful that I pulled my plan to have them manage my house, the thought of having to go through them for a year after the abysmal service I'd received would have probably finished me. I will be taking the situation to the Ombudsman if I don't get a proper acknowledgement of the really serious issues. I really hope this branch has improved, whenever I have had to speak to Ellie she is friendly and professional, I think I was unlucky but it should not be a matter of luck as to whether a Millers' employee is professional or not.

Positive experience: The Millers Countrywide were good in dealing with us and Ellie was our contact person who helped us out in finding, signing and for all formalities regarding the same. While we opted for the method of going by online photos and not physically viewing the property for renting due to various reasons, we almost got what we viewed online. However, it's worth mentioning that the bathrooms appliances were a little deteriorated over time. Having said that, overall, we're pleased with the flat! Thanks Millers and Ellie, Good Job!!

Negative experience: RENT WITH MILLER AT YOUR DETRIMENT...AVOID THEM AS A PLAGUE First the property was misrepresented. Series of repairs unattended. Had to cancel tenancy after 2 months when it generated to a health and safety concern, they didnt care enough to ensure the apartment was safe and habitable, but very concern about collecting the rent. Refunds of excess rent and deposit not forthcoming, currently reported as a dispute case and hoping this can be resolved. These guys will frustrate you. I had a terrible experience with them and will never recommend anyone to use Miller Countrywide Plymouth.

Negative experience: NEVER NEVER NEVER. Do not rent through Millers, under any circumstances. We were rented a property whose condition was misrepresented, and rife with issues, (hazardous carpeting that has caused one of the rooms to be completely unusable, leaking sink and toilet, black mould, dirty throughout). These are issues that were known to the agents and the landlord but were not disclosed to us before we were asked to sign the tenancy. These issues would have definitely influenced our decision on whether to sign the tenancy. That is fraud. We also did not have electricity and hot water the first day we moved in because there was a debt on the electric meter that Miller negligently did not deal with before the start of our tenancy. We have had to pay this debt ourselves inorder to have power in the apartment. Most recently, we reported that the radiators in the apartment do not turn on at all, none of them have a valve as they've all outrightly been removed and painted over. The response from Millers was that the landlord was not going to fix it and we should "control it from the boiler as the previous tenants have". We cannot turn the radiators on from the boiler, that's not possible. So essentially we do not have heating in a flat and the agency won't fix it and the days are getting colder. We have an infant living at the property and we most definitely cannot live without heating, it's crucial. The agency has been nothing but bullish, unhelpful and fraudulent. Miller Countrywide are slumlords, I would never recommend this agency to my worst enemies. Do not rent from them. Don't do it. This is only our first week in the property.

Negative experience: Appalling branch. Messed me around non-stop with a property I was trying to purchase. I had an offer firmly accepted on a property which they then proceeded to continue taking offers on. The same morning they asked me to send over my mortgage in principle and proof of ID, they then later on told me another offer had come in and I had to wait for the seller to make a decision. Came back to me another day or so later to say it had been accepted. I then increased my offer the following day. They called me back the next day yet again and told me the seller had gone with the other buyer because they liked the idea of someone actually living in the property themselves, YET THIS IS WAS THE CASE WITH ME TOO!! They had wrongly recorded down that I was a buy to let investor. Shocking communication. Shocking professional conduct.
