Fantastic experience: I’ve worked with Oliver, the in-house Mortgage Advisor, for quite some time now, and his commitment to actually helping me rather than selling to me is the reason I chose to go with him. Every advisor and broker I’d spoken to in Plymouth before him felt commission-driven and transactional, but Oliver was the complete opposite. He never pushed me toward anything, never tried to steer me for his own gain, and always gave advice with my best interests front and centre. He’s been consistently outstanding; patient, transparent, and genuinely invested in making sure I understood every step. He’s helped me with documents, coordinated with third parties like insurance providers, and handled every follow-up question I’ve had without hesitation. Negative experience: Poor experience overall. The staff were cheerful and genuinely helpful, but my poor experience stems from the processes behind the scenes. Fulfords are part of the Countrywide group, and they push hard on solicitor referrals. As a first-time buyer, I found this frustrating — I ended up buying another property through Bradley’s instead, mainly due to the headache with Fulfords/Countrywide/Conveyancing Direct (the recommended solicitors, who also happen to be part of Countrywide). The conveyancing costs are marketed as a fixed-fee (by the estate agent branch) which it certainly isn’t. I’d recommend reading the small print. To be clear, this isn’t a criticism of the local staff, who did their best to help. The problem lies in the practices and lack of transparency that come from higher up in the organisation.

Fantastic experience: I can't praise this branch of Fulfords enough from our recent house sale. Starting with the valuation process, they were happy to allow us the time to think through what we wanted to do with the listing and recommended having the pictures take place before the start of the Christmas period before decorations go up and date the pictures, they also recommended a listing day where online views are at their busiest. The valuation for the house was also spot on. Before listing we knew what our end fees would be and worked on a no sale no fee basis. When it came to viewings, they would always contact to confirm before allowing anyone come and view, always providing feedback from each viewing that took place. Finally the agents that completed the viewings at our house always spoke really positively and were really enthusiastic about our home. When I compare how they spoke about our home to the way other agents spoke about the houses we were viewing I know we sold through the right agents.

Negative experience: Had to chase Fulfords for over a month to secure a viewing for a flat. Got through to someone, they told me they'd get back to me - no contact for a week. Called repeatedly the next week, couldn't get through. The next week was informed that there was only one person working in the office and they'd get back to me, nothing for days. Finally got through and booked a viewing- they called the day before to tell me it was cancelled and that they'd send me a video of the flat, then rearrange for the next week. Never received the video, never heard back from them, and the property has now been let. What an absolute joke, but on the plus side at least it seems I've dodged a bullet with these clowns.

Negative experience: I'll start by saying my initial contact with them was fantastic. However, upon being put to a second agent in the office, he completely ignored my requests and did as he chose. When I pulled off the market they had lost my keys. I was assured this would be resolved and locks replaced, over 3 months later I've received no contact and had to sort this myself. Only not received one star because initial agent I worked with was excellent.

Fantastic experience: As a first time buyer with special personal circumstances, I was really nervous about the entire mortgage process. My Mortgage Advisor at Fulfords, Oliver, was incredibly supportive throughout and explained everything in detail and in simple terms. The mortgage terms Oliver was able to get me are exactly what I was hoping for. Not only has Oliver and Countrywide Mortgage Services made the mortgage application process easy and stress-free, but they also set me up with a solicitor and home survey company, so that I didn't need to find them on my own (I wouldn't have known where to start!). I could not recommend Fulfords mortgage services (and Oliver in particular) highly enough!

Fantastic experience: As first time buyers we used Oliver Tugwell to advise us on our Mortgage and getting the process started of buying a property. He was able to find us a mortgage that worked for our personal circumstances, better than any bank or other advisor. He made the process of finding a mortgage easy, even though I work three different jobs (Which saved us the hassle of having to explain to each individual lender my employment circumstances). Oliver was exemplary supporting throughout the entire process, answering any questions or concerns we had with any part of the purchasing process. He kept us updated throughout and was easy to approach when we wanted to update our interest rate as it altered. Oliver has been amazing to deal with and will definitely return for advise in the future.

Fantastic experience: I sold my flat through Fulford's Estate agents in Plymouth city centre. My main point of contact was Lara Hewit-Rees, the branch manager. It took nearly 2 years to from beginning to end due to various sales falling through. I just want to give credit to Lara, she was incredible throughout. She never gave up on the sale of my flat. She was so determined to complete on my sale and she conducted herself extremely professionally, going above and beyond what was expected of her. Lara kept my sale from faltering many times and was always communicating with me on every development with expert advice on how to continue to keep my sale going through to exchange and completion. She is diligent, tenacious and extremely professional and she is a credit to Fulford's estate agents.

Fantastic experience: We have had a great experience from Fulfords in the Plymouth Branch. Fantastic experience: I used Fulfords in St Budeaux as they had my chosen new property advertised. Having looked online, arranged a viewing with Alisha, who couldn't have been more helpful. Moving on, met with Robyn to sort a mortgage which was accepted and paperwork in place. I wanted a couple more visits, which again, Alisha was happy to arrange. I'm now moved in (end of March), and I found Jason, Alisha and Robyn incredibly helpful and friendly at all times, always happy to answer questions and would call me promptly with updates Definitely recommended!

Negative experience: So i had to move into a shared house with this agency and they were very bugging calling me to get documents done asap which i have but very slow with doing it themselves. The property itself is pretty disgusting as usually expected in a shared house. I’ve been moved in for a few days now and just realised they haven’t even given me the tenancy agreement that i signed ! I’m supposed to have a copy of which i wasn’t given. Pretty disappointing as i thought using an agency would be better but am not that happy with the service provided. When i went to my room , the busted down door was being fixed literally the day i was moving in, i had found wrappers and left over mcdonald’s in my cupboards, no door handle on the new door either. It feels with a lot of things they’re wanting me to ask for basic crucial documentation that should have been sent over already.

Negative experience: I just lost about £7400 because I tried to buy a flat from the Fulfords. Before I jumped into the deal, I asked everyone minimum 5 times, "do I have any chance to lose my money?" Everybody said "it's won't happen." It's happened! ‍♂️ In the end, nobody wanted to take the responsibility, just blamed on each other. I didn't even get a phone call to say "sorry"! Never again, Fulfords, Countrywide, I am sold and Talbotslaw.

Fantastic experience: My house was recently put up for sale by fulfords estate agency in Plymouth. Lara Hewitt-Rees was put in the position of selling my property. Upon first meeting with Miss Hewitt-Rees she was incredibly well mannered and polite. I advised her that I do get nervous about matters of this nature. Negative experience: Would give no stars if I could! My mum passed away, and I was selling her house. Had three valuations, Fulfords were 20,000 higher than the other 2. Naturally wanting the best price we went with them. House was on the market with Fulfords for 4 weeks. Plenty of views but no offers. Never any feedback on viewings, I had to chase them everytime, they had to come to my work to collect the key for a viewing, as it had been taken home by one of the estate agents! Eventually had enough and took the house off with them and used Yopa instead. House was sold in 5 days! Rang Fulfords to arrange collection of my Mums key, told it had been collected, not by me or anyone from my family, promised a call back from manager heard nothing. Would not recommend Fulfords to anyone.

Negative experience: Really poor customer service. Was asked to give best and final offer for a house sale, now over a week ago. Since then have heard nothing. I called the office and they wouldnt tell me either way if I was successful, I was told that Jenny would get back to me immediately. Still no response. I left an answer machine and this was ignored. I expect my bid wasn't successful and they can't be bothered with a courtesy call.

Fantastic experience: We were shown around our current home almost 2 years ago by Jasmine who has remained as our point of contact throughout the whole time we have lived here. When we initially contacted Fulfords when searching for a property to rent, Jasmine listened to all of our requirements and found us a perfect home which allowed our dog to stay with us too. She has always dealt with our queries quickly and professionally whenever we have contacted her and even though we have never actually spoken to our landlord, we have a great relationship with them thanks to Jasmine communicating efficiently between us. Fulfords in general are great - any issues we report to them are dealt with quickly and efficiently (we have experienced a boiler issue and a leak), and everyone we have dealt with has been professional and friendly. Negative experience: Shame I want to mark 0 stars. No roof half year, raining in my sitting room for a month, have to reach council, broken window handle, water damaged walls, water in light bulbs place, yesterday break front door handle, we were not able to get out, my husband handy, we made... solution for now, agency sed write complain in their page, where we write meny times and apart to litter collection from inside home after 9 months nothing was done, I forgot to mention no rubbish bins for two months, we have to order, pay for them and pay fine. Two years and nothing was done, and we can't pay bills for 3 months because in some places this was registered like business in another student house. We have to done everything. Agency says the landlord just does not fix... So now I'm going to be handy women and try to take measurements for front door and buy the handle. Dear Fulford I hope you all rott in hell

Fantastic experience: I first contacted Jennifer Matthews about the sale of my flat about 18 months ago. Since the very start Jennifer was helpful, reassuring and positive about the sale. There have been a few bumps along the way due to buyers experiencing difficulties but I have always been kept informed and supported throughout the process. Finally the sale has gone through today thanks to a great deal of hard work from Jennifer and Gareth Cooper who has been relentless at chasing tricky solicitors! How they do this job I will never know, but they have both been just incredible and I cannot ever thank them enough!

Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure of dealing with Blieu to sell my Dad’s property. It was with great sadness I had to sell due to him passing but Blieu was nothing but compassionate and professional throughout and made the whole process as painless as it could be. I explained to Blieu right from the start that I couldn’t cope with dealing with various people due to the upset and so I didn’t want to sign up with him and then be passed to various colleagues. He promised that I would speak to him only and he kept his promise throughout. I called Blieu on many (and I mean many) occasions. He never made me feel like I was a pain and dealt with all my concerns and queries very promptly. Fantastic experience: So im a first time buyer and unfortunately, it didn't go as smoothly and as quickly as I would've liked. Wasn't the best 7 months of my life but the only good thing from this experience was how great Matt Binney was. Went above and beyond to help me out as much as he could and probably done more than he should have. Definitely will use him again when i come to renew my mortgage

Negative experience: Painful - Like watching ENGLAND play for 90 minutes + penalties Never have I ever had such a roller coaster experience, a game of two halves with penalties thrown in because as if buying a home isn’t stressful enough! From the beginning… It didn’t start well, whilst viewing the property I was informed offers had already been accepted on the over inflated sale price! 24 hours later the over inflated sale price was reduced by 10k. Where did those offers go? Now it gets interesting, I place an offer, it’s Thursday morning, I hear nothing, nothing in writing, nothing via email and most certainly no phone call! I feel like I’m about to break into a song! No contact Thursday, Friday, Saturday, I chilled on Sunday. No contact received Monday, I called them twice, exactly the same Tuesday, then Wednesday and Thursday!!! I am now a little angry, this isn’t how it is meant to be! So my dolly is thrown from the pram, Eventually I get through to someone, not just a “I’ll get them to call you back” this is now 8 days after placing an offer. “It’s great news” my offer of £XXXX has been accepted! Wait! What! I didn’t offer that much! Silence! Long pause! “Let me check the file” more silence! “Oh well that’s what has been accepted, do you want the property or not” Dumbstruck, couldn’t believe what I was hearing! That’s it then, more silence, no further contact, right up to 1 month before completion, they call me, asking me if I’m going to complete and if I have a mortgage offer!!! I haven’t mentioned names, that’s for the official complaint but I will mention one lady who eventually saved the day, completely out of her way to sort the vendors and his solicitors out, checking paperwork, visiting the property, ensuring completion took place as it should. Jenny you deserve a medal, 5 stars to you. Maybe a change in job, looks like Fulfords need a Training and Compliance Manager!!! Penalties it is then - to top it all off, the same day as I complete, Fulfords put my new home back on the market For Sale!! Please don’t buy it, I haven’t even moved in yet!!!

Fantastic experience: Fulfords have handled a purchase and a sale of a property for me and having experienced both these sides of the services they offer, I can say that I would definitely use Fulfords again. Gareth and Kerry are always on the end of an email or phone call for any questions and will both endeavor to sort any issues or answer any questions that arrive. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to sell a property.

Fantastic experience: The experience with Fulfords was excellent from start to finish, despite the sale process hitting several bumps along the way (not the fault of the agents!). Jenny was the Fulfords representative who dealt with us. She was lovely and really made us feel as though we were always her priority. She gave us a good valuation, we had a great deal of interest in terms of viewings, and she was great at keeping us updated and then guiding us through the various decisions we had to make in a really professional manner. When the original buyer pulled out a few days ahead of exchange, she had the property back on the market and was booking viewings within the day - and because of the market, we ended up with a higher sale price than the original. So we had a really good experience and wouldn't hesitate to use Fulfords again. Thank you!

Negative experience: Long story short. Lucy was the estate agent in charge of a property. We visited the property on Thursday and the landlord said that she would be taking in apllication over the weekend and replying by Monday. We put in a an application on Friday morning and Lucy gave us a rejection within half an hour. Apparently, Lucy decides which applications the landlord should see.

Fantastic experience: Having used agents before to rent a home, I was concerned I was going to be in for a bumpy ride when I decided to take on this new property. I was use to consistent messages asking for money, things not being fixed and unhelpful advice, when dealing with other agents.... This couldn't be further from the truth with Fulfords. We want to say a special thanks to Jasmine. Right from the start she kept us up to date on our move, she made any paperwork that was being processed easy to understand. All the while being friendly and super polite. Jasmine has been awesome at communicating anything we need with our landlord. She went the extra mile to ensure our move was easy and comfortable and continues to ensure we are happy in our new home.
