Fantastic experience: Very good service from this company. Quick to respond, took account of my requests and Millie was an absolute gem - very friendly and knowledgeable.
Fantastic experience: Sam Morse has been extremely helpful getting a difficult probate sale finalised. Sam has always kept me informed of any updates and worked tirelessly to resolve issues quickly. I cannot thank Sam enough for taking the stress out of what could have been a really stressful period.
Negative experience: Edited** after your response. See bottom Your Move estate agents failed catastrophically – and tenants suffered because of it. For months I endured relentless, vile anti-social behaviour from another tenant: obscene, aggressive shouting echoing through the building every single evening and again from as early as 5–6 a.m. Far worse, this same individual subjected a vulnerable elderly resident with serious health conditions to sustained bullying – mocking his mobility, ridiculing his medical issues, and leaving him genuinely vulnerable in his own home. I reported the incidents repeatedly with compelling evidence: legally recorded audio and meticulous, timestamped incident logs. Your Move did virtually nothing. They deliberately turned a blind eye – almost certainly because the tenant was providing them with inducements or benefits that clearly outweighed any concern for our safety and wellbeing. Kieran (thank God he’s gone) was utterly pathetic: vague non-responses, ignored follow-ups, zero backbone. Even when the police spoke to him directly, he remained useless. Milo was as useful as a chocolate teapot and simply deferred to Kieran at every opportunity. Area manager Michael Vertannes elevated the incompetence to outright disgrace: he refused to contact me directly despite having my phone number and email, instead using other tenants as intermediaries. He arranged a meeting with the elderly resident without ever notifying or inviting me, then feigned surprise that I didn’t attend. He boasted about being ex-police and falsely told the elderly man that the Property Ombudsman “wouldn’t be interested” and that pursuing a complaint was pointless – a statement proven entirely wrong when I received formal written confirmation from the Ombudsman that my case meets their criteria for full investigation. Your Move’s conduct throughout was unethical, grossly negligent, evasive and deceptive. They consistently placed undisclosed benefits above basic decency and their clear statutory legal responsibilities as managing agents. There was no apology. No meaningful support. No action whatsoever from the branch. Evidently the previous staff could be bought off far too cheaply – integrity was clearly not on the job description. Only after my persistent efforts, and despite Your Move’s obstructive and apathetic stance, did the police issue the tenant responsible an Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Order specifically for harassment. Only then was the eviction finally secured. It was solely the intervention of the Directors of Your Move – not the branch – that eventually produced any result. The staff who were in place during this period are a disgrace to the entire letting industry – spineless, unethical, and wholly unfit to be entrusted with people’s homes and safety. Don’t waste your time replying to this review asking me to contact you privately. It was the Directors, not the branch, who eventually acted. The branch failed completely. Be advised: I retain comprehensive evidence substantiating every statement made in this review. Your Move’s systemic failure to discharge its legal duties, combined with apparent preferential treatment of a problematic tenant in exchange for personal gain, raises very serious questions of negligence, breach of statutory duty, and potential misconduct that may well justify formal legal proceedings by affected tenants. Let’s hope the new team at Mutley can completely overhaul the branch and finally turn it into something respectable – because at present it is an embarrassment. If you value safety, peace of mind, or the protection of vulnerable residents – especially the elderly – **do not touch Your Move with a bargepole**. I went to the Directors because you ignored the issues—they dealt with it. Asking an elderly tenant at a meeting to contact me is unprofessional. You had my details but never mentioned about the meeting held. Escalated to Directors and Property Ombudsman (complaint accepted). Hope your not referring to me being verbally abusive as I was never .This is done and dealt with now.

To clarify, when I became involved I asked in writing for the relevant supporting information to be shared in advance so I could review it properly, but I did not have sight of the evidence referenced here at that stage. i also asked in writing for you to let us know when would suit for a meeting in the office without response. Once the matter was escalated, it was progressed in line with the options available and, where appropriate, alongside the relevant authorities.
At no point were complaints deliberately ignored, nor were any inducements or personal benefits involved. Such allegations are entirely unfounded, and we categorically reject any suggestion of unethical conduct or preferential treatment.
I also need to note that we have a duty of care to our colleagues. During this period, members of our team were subject to verbally abusive language. We will always support residents, but we will not tolerate abuse towards staff.
We acknowledge your comments regarding communication and service standards, and the branch has since undergone wholesale changes. The new team at Mutley has worked hard to address outstanding issues, improve processes, and ensure concerns are handled appropriately and professionally.
As previously requested in writing, I would be happy to arrange a meeting or call to run through the issues raised above, so we can fully understand your concerns and ensure you have all the correct facts.

Negative experience: Very very bad experience from the Plymouth Yourmove estate agents.. No one is responsible for the property which I rented from them. They started the tenancy without doing any maintenance work ( toilet not in working condition, kitchen hob not working, plug points are broken, boiler not working and no regulators for most of the heater.Basic necessary things are not in working condition and not able to stay over there even after paying rent and deposit in advance. And no one is responding when I escalated all these concerns. I paid the rent already and still staying in another house with another rent. So disappointed and stressed.. emotionally and financially..

Negative experience: I left a review 7 years ago, I got a cursory response addressed to 'Helen' (not me) and nothing further. RE their response; I have been contacting the office about this, for 7 years. Katherine Stevens/Kat, Nicholas Goulden, Aidan Meyers, Kieran Milner, Kelly, Richard Unwin, Steven Blackmore, Milo Cole, I have not had anything in response. I'm pretty much here to say to all the 1* reviews I see: please please please just **report them to The Property Ombudsman or the Information Commissioners Office**. FIGHT THE EVICTION NOTICES - they're fairly unlikely to be valid. Your Move are *not* going to deal with your complaint, it's not in their business plan, and they need to be held accountable for how many peoples lives they've messed around with (and how many laws they've broken in doing so!). My personal grievance is that this estate agents has been actively destroying my ability to rent by giving out provably falsified negative references about myself. I am disabled, and when a workman showed up unexpectedly, I had a panic attack & focal seizure and physically couldn't open the door. The estate agents were aware of my disability, and I even sent emails apologising for my symptoms. I was served a section 21 shortly afterwards, and because I had lived in my flat for quite some time and was pretty young, I didn't have any other references built up yet. I had to rely on friends and eventually private landlords whilst I built up enough savings to be able to pay a full years rent in advance. I have been trying to contact them about this for over 7 years, zero response. They will not provide my data under GDPR, they will not respond to any complaints, but will happily write bad references within seconds. I wont go on any longer, just, it's really been 7 years of this?! damn.

Fantastic experience: My flat in Plymouth has been managed by Your Move for many years and I have always found staff to be polite, efficient, responsive and professional. I recently sold my flat and the sale was going through without any problems when, with a month to the competion date, there was a massive storm and my flat was flooded to a depth of 1m. I was devastated and drove to Plymouth see what I could do. I assumed the buyer would pull out but was reassured by Your Move staff that if I could repair the damage the buyer would hold. The staff also found me a contractor that helped me get the flat ready and the sale went through. Its occassions like these where it helps to have good professinal backup.

Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend the service I’ve had from Kelly and the Your Move team enough! Having suddenly inherited a rental property after a death in the family, I was helped with all aspects of the process with kindness. Negative experience: Was renting for 14 months never missed a payment on rent an even put up a £500 fence in the garden out my pocket an my labour My Ex partner was on the tenancy but moved out in January and hasn’t paid a penny towards the rent/bills an I let them know this in January then it came to August and got an email saying you have to pay £500 to change the tenancy or vacate the property as your ex partner has requested a reference! The “Your move team” are the most unhelpful rude bunch of estate agents ever, no care for the renters it’s all about the money for them. Back in 2024 asked them to change the key lock to a turn nob on the inside incase of a fire emergency and still 10 months down the line nothing was done! Had a leak in the roof an took 4 months to sort out now the bathroom was covered in mold and was nothing I could do but wait! Never even took the for let sign down so that’s still in the garden 14 months down the line! When I first got the property I wanted to do the tenancy deposit scheme as that was an option but when I called to sort that out they said the landlord wants the full £1000 deposit or else he will look for another renter so right from the get go they have been useless! I’m absolutely appalled by your move an absolute joke of estate agents no help or support for renters, was paying £825 for a 1 bedroom house now gone private an paying £75 more to get a conservatory 2 car drive way an 2 bedrooms an actual access to my garden! When it came to them wanting to do viewings on the property they booked in an appointment without even confirming it with me, and in those emails I was questioning about when I can expect to receive the deposit back and was ignored but still emailed about them wanting to do viewings! I think his name was milo but I must say he should not be the one to answer the phone as I was spoken to with a rude tone an an abrupt ending! When I went to hand the keys back I called them to see if I could pop in at 5:20 and hand the keys back to them. They said that was absolutely fine but got there at 5:05 and the door was locked and no one would answer the phone! The amount of stress Your Move have caused is unreal. I take my work to the highest standard I can do it. These lot couldn’t give a care in the world as you can see there’s plenty of bad reviews and I’m sure the good reviews will turn into bad ones eventually! At the end of the tenancy I made sure to clean the house to the best of my ability They even called to ask me if I left a washing machine an fridge but surely they would know that was there when I moved in Me an my partner was cleaning it for 2 days straight repainting the bedroom touching up the lounge an even put new silicone down in the bathroom, it was ready for new tenants!!! When it came to getting the deposit back they tried to take £300 of me for a clean an tidy up on the bathroom even tho it wasn’t any fault on my half the mould on the ceiling an when I had the repair man round he ripped the flooring an they tried to charge me for that, in the end I said you can have £100 just so I can get my money back! If you can avoid these lot I would most definitely, highly recommend Stags estate agents as they top Your move by miles! As you can seen in the pictures it was cleaned an left in a good standard but still had to try an get an extra few quid an I know that is particularly down to the landlord an he was tight bugger aswell!
Fantastic experience: As a first time renter, everything in relation to a move has been daunting. I had no idea what I was doing or what I was even looking for! Milo has been nothing short of a revelation, he has made this entire experience an absolute breeze. Polite, courteous and well spoken, he has explained everything in such a succinct and punctual manner, ensuring that my move has been pleasant and as stress free as possible. When booking a viewing, he was on time, took me for a full, thorough tour and was knowledgeable about both the building itself and the local area. He really helped sell the place to me! He was transparent about any work that need doing and wouldnt shy away from any difficult conversations or questions. Positive experience: Rather incompetent - Didn't manage to send tenancy agreement till after we'd moved in. - Gave us the wrong keys which nearly resulted in us being homeless for the night: over 2 weeks later and they still can't find our keys, presumably lost or with burglars. -Tenancy agreement sent through a link which wouldn't allow me to download it, upon request for tenancy agreement as a file they sent me a bunch of other useless documents but no tenancy agreement. -Kept getting confused on key details of the tenancy, deposit amount kept changing. being X amount on add, then Y amount on talking to them, then Z amount when it came to send it. Again the tenancy min term was shown 6 months on add then 12 months on contract, kept getting moved in date wrong on documents, etc. These last are relatively trivial but do show just a general incompetence or uncaringness on Your-Move's part. I hope this isn't normally how you manage your business, your incompetence/lack of any care almost caused us to be homeless with a van full of things that needed unloading. Getting 2 stars as they were actually very friendly to deal with, just not great at their job. Edit 2: Management did do a good job reaching out to me to apologise and offering to pay for the replacement keys and a token of good will so that was very much appreciated, in recognition of that I will bump them up to 3 stars. Edit in response: Fortunately you were only hired to get the tenancy started and so our relationship is at an end. If you were serious about helping to remedy the situation you'd reimburse me for the cost of the keys I had to make to replace the ones you lost. I'd say however you couldn't actually care less and your response is simply to make it seem like you do to potential future clients.

Negative experience: Poor communication. Would not reccomend. They do not reply to enquiries and when asking for more property information regarding properties I am told that the property is ‘now let’ despite calling as soon as it goes on zoopla. I’m not sure what the benefit of advertising a property which is ‘now let’ is nor am I sure why the same property keeps getting listed every week.
Negative experience: HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!! agents are extremely unprofessional, almost zero communication, and they would ignore you for MONTHS, even after reporting issues in person they still IGNORED the reports. WORST COMPANY AND WORST AGENTS EVER.
Negative experience: AWFUL experience!!! communication is terrible, I’ve been a tenant of a flat for 3 years and I’ve signed my contract for the 4th because I can’t go anywhere else as I’m an international student and I just want to study I don’t have time to go around looking for a new place to stay in. They continuously ignore my emails and ignore my reports about the flat, never fix anything, always rely pn me to fix everything by myself, and they never communicate about anything!! I’ve been ignored for over 2 months just for them to tell me (after I went in personally to the branch) that the agents I’ve contacted are not there anymore and no one bothered to email me about it!! they still ignore my emails. They decided to stop supplying the wifi to my flat without telling me and I had to keep emailing and reporting over 2 months and a half with no response!!!!!! I have been left for over a week with no hot water even though I kept reporting it!! I couldn’t take a shower or do my chores for a week and I got skin rash because of not showering for too long!!! WORST COMPANY AND WORST AGENTS EVER!!!

Negative experience: A bunch of scammers who only contact you when they want something. The room I rented from them was in terrible condition, just like the rest of the house. The ceiling leaks, there’s mold on every floor, and they don’t do anything about it unless they absolutely have to. They’re currently trying to sell the house, and for the past few months they’ve been doing regular viewings for strangers, entering my room without my permission while I was away. When my wife told a potential buyer the truth — that the house is a dump — they got angry at her for being honest. In summary: if you want to sell a property, they might help you because there’s money in it for them. But if you’re thinking of renting from them, think twice before you do.

Negative experience: Agents struggle to communicate, have been ignored for a month now about repairs. Edit: further months later, no repairs, no communication, always surprised by how negligent they manage to be, but on a plus they've raised the rent in the meantime without doing said repairs.

Fantastic experience: Have used as a landlord agent for many years and been very impressed with Kelly. More recently, the branch have sold the property for us. They were very flexible with the viewings etc and secured a buyer. Always respond quickly to any contact. Sam (who coordinates the sale process) has been excellent and very proactive, ensuring that the conveyancing kept moving forward and communicating really well.

Fantastic experience: Selling your home is rarely an uplifting and joyous affair, especially if you've lived there for 24 very happy years! This said the whole of the team at Your Move were very supportive and adaptive to my needs and requests and they made the process as stress free as possible from our first fact-finding meeting to today's Exchange of Contracts with completion set for early May. Fantastic experience: We dealt with Samantha Morse. She managed the purchase process incredibly well. She responded to phone calls/emails really quickly and intervened helpfully at points along the chain to speed things up. I can really recommend her and the service Your Move gave.

Fantastic experience: James and the whole team at Your Move Mannamead were fantastic throughout our buying process for our first property. They were always helpful explaining things, chasing solicitors and helping move the chain along. James went above and beyond to help negotiate a very unusual issue (that was no fault of Your Move), which even our solicitors had not come across professionally. This was after completing and during the Christmas period and we can’t thank them enough for their help resolving. When the day comes to sell a property, James and Your Move will be the first people we will contact. Thanks!
Fantastic experience: A most enjoyable experience with this company. There communication visually and via the phone was succinct and delivered politely and with a smile. A Special thankyou goes out to Rebecca & Milo for their extra help and guidance, thus, enabling my daughter to get the apartment she wanted.
Negative experience: Landlords and tenants BEWARE. An awful agency that does not follow the law. £800 Security deposit was not protected in a government-approved scheme and instead sat in the company bank account. It started when I moved into my rental property, on the day nothing was ready for me, I waited for hours whilst the contracts were sorted and payments were taken. Costing me more money for my van rental and parking. This however was the least of it. Upon leaving the property, I tried to find my protected deposit, they outline in all documents that the deposit will be protected as per the law put in place by the Government. I couldn't find it in any of the approved schemes and started to worry. I contacted my local branch and received appalling customer service from the outset and throughout. I will give details along with the employee giving the information below. The overall point here is that my deposit was not protected and I was first told I can't have my money back and then told I had to sign an addendum to get it back. All of which continued the illegal behaviour of Your Move. One standout thing for landlords to be aware of is that I was told I must sign a document immediately if I want my unprotected deposit back. This document looked to shift all the blame onto the actual landlord, who had paid Your Move for a service and to ensure the deposit was protected. I sought legal advice throughout and managed to avoid signing this and saved my landlord a lot of money in doing so. Compensation was finally given after I had to fight my case for weeks and I received the lowest level, given all of the activity that took place during this time of me trying to locate where my money was, much more should be awarded and would be by the court. The stress of dealing with the company left me wanting to end communication and I do not wish this process on anyone. Kieran Milner (Plymouth Branch): Rude, dismissive and once I realised my deposit was not protected refused to answer any questions in emails and also refused to speak on the phone. Danielle Bailey: Someone who holds a high position in customer service for Your Move, is one of the rudest people I have had the displeasure of speaking to. Disagreeing with me when I got the name of the person I needed to speak to wrong and speaking in such a way that I highly suggest a long course in customer service is offered to this employee. Nicholas Evans: Lied to me regarding the document I was asked to sign. Initially said it had to be signed to get my money and also that I would still be able to claim compensation from Your Move. Both turned out to be untrue, the document was never signed and I got my money back. A further document that assumed it had also been signed detailed that any compensation now had to be claimed from the landlord (which I specifically did not want to do, luckily legal advice meant I avoided ever signing the addendum he created). Inna Lewer: Again, awful customer service skills and little effort made to provide a worthy solution. In such a competitive market, you can see from my experience that both tenant and landlord could have been negatively impacted, I highly suggest you explore other estate and letting agents. As Your Move soon lose any loyalty when they are at fault and do anything they can to shift blame. The worrying thing is, the process to shift the blame seemed so polished... almost like they have done it multiple times before.
Fantastic experience: We chose Your Move to manage the sale of our rental property based on their punctuality, professional appearance and conduct at the initial visit to the property, their realistic valuation and their associated fees. Branch Manager James and Kathryn dealt with the sale and were very professional and proficient throughout the whole process. Nothing was too much trouble (despite sometimes feeling like the nagging customer ..... sorry about that) and any issues or concerns we're promptly addressed and resolved. We would thoroughly recommend Your Move.

Fantastic experience: I let a property with Your Move Plymouth for almost 13 years and I then recently sold that property with them. The sales team is awesome. Kathryn and James have worked extremely hard to sell my property. It was a bit of a struggle for them with the market and some of the issues with my property. I really appreciate how persistent they were in giving appropriate advice, seeking a buyer and then quickly communicating and resolving any issues. There were many issues that were not their fault but they worked hard to communicate with all parties so we could move past the issues and complete the sale. Without their persistence and hard work my property would be back on the market. I really appreciate the team at this agency and would highly recommend you choose them to help you sell your property!
Fantastic experience: I came back 5 years later to sell a flat with Kelly Dillon of Your Move because I never forgot how positive, pro-active and friendly she is. As are all members of staff that I've had contact with - James & Kathryn included. Fantastic experience: Renting a property is stressful at times. I have never used an estate agency before but thanks to Milo at the Mutley branch of your move it wasnt as daunting as i thought it might be. He couldn't be more helpful, he advised and helped every step of the way and was always on the end of the phone or email for any updates or advice. Excellent service all round

Negative experience: Very poor service. They never called me back when they promised. I had to call to chase up but they can’t give me any solutions! As landlord I pay hundreds to them but they failed to let the property. They don’t even write descriptions about the property when they are advertising it. I Can’t believe I am paying them for nothing! They also failed to send electricians to do repairs work, this year they missed the routine inspections! Really poor service! Very disappointed!
