Fantastic experience: Travis was an absolute star,we purchased our house through bagshaws we sold our house through a different estate agents..our estate agents could learn a thing or two on customer service as when ever i rang Travis he would always chase any query up and call me back.he was always professional and polite. Negative experience: Worst company you will ever rent with I promise you. I don’t even know where to begin, it was actually horrendous. To start with we paid a holding deposit on a flat that we liked. We then got told the landlord wasn’t replying but that he lived abroad (?!). A week before we were due to move in they told us he still hadn’t replied (bear in mind they had our money) and that they had another flat available we could view (more expensive and less accessible to town). We viewed the place and took it as our tenancy at our old place was up and we had to have somewhere or we’d be on the street. This flat was the worst place I have ever stayed in my life. We were paying £725 a month to stay in a house that had been divided by paper thin walls and made into ‘flats’ and our view (blinds were shut on the viewing) across the WHOLE flat because it was literally tiny was of the bin yard and we were on the ground floor. On top of that we were told we could get a permit (by our letting agent Sophie) for the road outside. This was a lie and resulted in multiple parking fines and eventually having to keep the car far away from the flat to avoid fines. The postcode did not even exist the whole time we were there- the postcode we were provided with was for the flats opposite we just did not exist. We could also hear people urinating, feces dropping (it was absolutely disgusting) cupboards shutting, light switches turning on from upstairs because the walls were that thin. As well as this we were convinced the landlord was doing something dodgy in the basement below (which btw was connected to a shop that we nor the public had access to and had been boarded up the whole time living there) as we constantly throughout the night would hear banging and thumping from below keeping us up at night. We had a plumber come out to fit the washing machine when we first arrived and he refused to fit it as he said it wasn’t set up right and that the socket was directly below the water pipe and that he wasn’t risking his job. The cabinets weren’t drilled to the wall I could go on, no insulation it was freezing in winter, no sunlight and the bin yard had walls surrounding it. We let Bagshaws know of all this multiple times and they ignored us and did nothing. Very unprofessional company and I’m so glad we moved out over a year ago. It’s taken me this long to even write the review as I was so sad and angry and wouldn’t be able to voice myself properly but this company did no checks on their property and do not care about their clients. Save yourself the hassle.

Negative experience: I wanted to rent a house, but they keep stalling me. They asked for a deposit and six months' rent upfront, which I accepted. They were supposed to contact the landlord and get back to me, but I'm still waiting. These Banghaws are making people wait. Is it that hard to respond? After they've signed all the contracts with someone else, they call you and tell you the landlord hasn't accepted. They're victimizing people.

Fantastic experience: As a landlord of a few properties i have found this rental team led by Tye to be the best i have dealt with. I have been working with them for over three years and there have been no staff changes that you get with other agents Efficient. Brilliant communication. Transparent. Honest and will go over and above. I do not have full property management service but they have actioned things for me when i havnt been able to and have save my skin more than a few times. Screening and quality of tenants has been excellent so far. Honestly-I wouldn’t go anyway else

Negative experience: Very disappointed. Wasted my time and money. Offer accepted on a house and 3 weeks later after searches I found out the property had flooded twice in the past 5 years. Emailed Amrit to withdraw my offer and suggest that future buyers be warned of this. She didn't even have the courtesy to reply to my email. Just had the bill from my solicitor for £683 for the work and searches they had done. Honesty would have saved me time and money. Will never deal with them ever again.

It did take a few weeks to sort photos and listing, but then things fell into place. Negative experience: I Highly recommend not using Bagshaws to rent a property. My whole experience was nothing but constant stress. When First moving into my flat , the place had mould , was dirty , smelt bad and clearly had not be cleaned at all ( when speaking to the landlord they charged him for a professional clean ). I cleaned the flat throughly and just forgot about it , i then found a nest of cockroaches in my flat , it was absolutely infested , i was told this was my issue that i had to pay for until i could legally prove them wrong , this took around 4 months to get rid of them. I had cockroaches on my kitchen sides , ceiling , cupboards , i even found them on my bed and bathroom , they was always ignoring my requests and responses. I had to wake up with bites and so much stress i did not want to be there , i had to get the council ( environmental services) involved to get them to take action. When my tenancy was due to end Tye told me they found a new tenant which would move in on a set date , they said i was liable until this date and gave me an exact amount which i paid. I paid up what they requested and left the flat in better condition than it was given too me. When i had handed the keys back i began getting hounded by emails saying i was in debt and owed them half a months rent even though we agreed i could leave early and there would be no further charges. They also accused me of taking a mattress that was never in the flat to begin with ( they clearly didnt do a inventory or check before handing the keys) I now dont have enough money to pay the debt they claim i owe due to them not being truthful , i could now face a ccj through no fault of my own as i had to pay costs moving into my new flat which i wouldn't of done if i was told correct information. When dealing with them they will call you to discuss things so there is no proof / papertrail , please be careful.

Negative experience: Never had an issue with the sales team but the letting side of the business has had no end of issues that are not sorted. I rent my house not for profit but while I was living with my partner. No end of issues, referred to their management team most of the time who just charge fee after fee. Now the tenancy is over they want another £30 for deposit disputes and I still have to do all the work myself. I would honestly recommend avoided this business.

Negative experience: Very bad, no reply for a long time, did something wrong, and discriminated against others for poor English, over and over again, the house has not been under contract for 7 months, but they still won't give me the house, very bad, tye is very rogue, and the work is very ineffective, but I was promoted to manager, very strange company, I am speechless

Negative experience: PLEASE READ THE FULL REVIEW FOR A COMPLETE PICTURE OF OUR EXPERIENCE We had a mixed experience with Bagshaw. The highlight was the exceptional mortgage service provided by Vicky Tamber, who secured us the best possible interest rate and consistently tracked better options. Vicky was professional, proactive, and made the process seamless—she’s the best at her job! If you’re looking for a mortgage adviser, she’s the one to go to. However, we faced major issues with the lack of transparency and the solicitor recommendation. As first-time buyers, we weren’t informed by Bagshaw that the property was of “non-standard” construction (“Wimpey No Fines”). The property listing didn’t mention this(See attached images for the listing details they provided), and we only found out after paying for a property survey, which cost us extra. Misleading information led us to withdraw from the purchase, and because property searches had already been ordered, we lost an additional £400. To make matters worse, the recommended solicitor, “Gilson Gray,” and specifically their solicitor/manager Samantha Ling, provided the worst service imaginable. Her communication was nearly nonexistent, and she frequently went offline or on holiday without completing critical tasks. When the property sold again within weeks, the new buyer’s solicitor agreed to use the same searches, but due to Samantha’s lack of communication, we still lost £400. Her unprofessionalism added unnecessary stress and expense. Overall, 5 stars for Vicky Tamber for her amazing work. 0 stars for Bagshaw’s solicitor recommendation "Gilson Gray" and lack of transparency regarding the property.

Fantastic experience: My name is Faustina and I have just rented a house with bagshaws and I was taken through the process by Charlotte. This is my first rental through an estate agent and to be honest I was a bit scared but she made the journey so smooth that I never had to worry about anything. She will email and still call me to make sure I get everything I needed to send her on time and whenever I don't understand anything, I will still ring her and she'll take her time and explain to me. All the process from viewing and to contracting and everything took about two weeks and I am very happy she was there to guide me through. Negative experience: I contacted them regarding valuing my flat. They were quick to respond and send someone to 'value' the flat. I don't live in the area so they went by themselves. When I asked for feedback on the property, they told me it was great and ready to sell straight away. In actual fact, there was a hole in the front door and a number of other maintenance issues that needed resolving, but they didn't mention these until prompted. And they didn't suggest I fixed them. The valuer moved straight to talking about auctioning the property. My impression was they wanted me to flog it quickly via auction so they could make more money out of it, rather than having my best interests at heart. Hence I went with another agent to sell my flat.

Negative experience: Absolute waste of time, spent time with agency and in house mortgage advisor and took time out of my day to pursue a property. Advertised as 4 bed and even questioned the the floor plan whilst in the branch, agent said he had personally done the valuation and it was definitely a 4 bed. Went to view turned out it was only a 3!, how can you advertise something as a 4 bed when the alleged '4th' bedroom cannot even fit in a bed and can only be accessible from bedroom 3, and even worse is this alleged 4th bedroom did not even have a window!, (Bagshaws do you even know the legal definition of a bedroom?)and when questioned and challenging the narrative bagshaws yet still try to convince me is a 4 bed, even the vendor informed it was a 3 and not a 4. Bagshaws take buyers for fools! Furthermore put in an offer close to asking in writing to bagshaws via 2 different individuals via email, and they did not even have the courtesy to respond or reply to reject the offer , if not deemed good enough. Very poor! It's little wonder estate agents in general have a bad name and known for being untrustworthy when agencies such as this mis advertise and mis lead potential buyers and do not communicate at all effectively even just as a common courtesy.

Negative experience: After the death of both of my parents 5 weeks apart, needed a valuation of their house for probate. An appointment was set for 11am. By half 11, no sign and no call to say where they were. Called the office, who then said, oh its not like him to be late, let me call him for you, I said thank you, she then said, OK then bye, and put the phone down! After nearly an hour late, he turned up and advised that he would get the valuation in an email to me Monday, today is Tuesday so again called the office to be told he's not in today. So an important valuation needed to get paperwork sorted for probate, has been held up by a shoddy customer service estate agents. Would recommend looking for a different company who have at the very least customer service skills
