Neil knows the market well and doesn’t give over priced valuations in order to get the work and from advertising and dealing with prospective buyers you can be certain you will get viewings and appointments to view are always kept due to their confirmation of appointment system they have in place. Not once did I get any time wasting viewings they were all genuine. I also appreciated feedback being given every time, I never had to go chasing for it. I also particularly valued Neil’s input in supporting the sale of my home by providing documentation for the various parties to sign (it was not your normal run of the mill sale)and his commitment to me as the seller and to the buyer was second to none. Fantastic experience: Neil was very professional and patient with the sale of my property due to it being subject of probate. This was a complicated and drawn out process. Neil kept me fully updated throughout. Thank you and the team.

Negative experience: Neil Price at Reeds Rains valued the property at half the price of a Rics Valuation Survey (adjusted for time difference) and less than half the price of two other local agents - a difference of £350,000! Rics Valuations are gold standard in the industry and used by banks for mortgage purposes so I have to wonder what the motivation behind his valuation was. Make sure you obtain plenty of other valuations before entrusting what is likely to be your biggest asset to this man or this agency. Response I have shared facts. A Rics survey valued the property at £525,000 5 years ago. Since then house prices have increased by 24% giving a current value of £651,000. 2 other local agents valued the property at £650,000, exactly in line with the Rics Valuation. Reeds Rain valued the property at £300,000, £350,000 less than the other 2 agents. Again, I have to ask, why was Neil Price's valuation so low? For context the property is a 4 bed detached house with a double garage and large front and back gardens in a highly sought after road within walking distance of Coventry mainline Station, the city centre and Coventry Memorial Park. It was badly marketed by Reeds Rain with an inappropriate asking price and poor photographs and is being sold for less than it is worth. Anyone looking to sell should make sure they obtain plenty of valuations from other agents before considering Reeds Rain because to knock £350,000 off a Rics Survey Valuation is extraordinary and highly unprofessional

From a buyers perspective this has been a really easy transaction and the team were friendly and helpful throughout. The only area for improvement would be notifying the buyer when they can pick up keys as I was a bit confused on the process but my exchange happened the day before completion so it was very last minute.
