Negative experience: The level of communication from this branch is appalling. Four times since the 4th of February I've phoned up about the same problem they haven't fixed yet, and I've been told someone will be in touch, but they haven't called back. And most times when I call, no one answers. The level of service is astonishingly poor. If there are other options in the area, use them and avoid Bairstow Eves.

Negative experience: Ellish our property manager did a constant chase up for any issues we had at the property. She was very committed to getting things fixed in our house. However management as such it takes a long time for them to co-ordinate with complaints as we are put up with different people on the phone everytime we have to communicate or need an update regarding an ongoing issue. Would be better if agency could improve on communication.

All of the coordination, updates, and problem-solving — that was Charlie. When someone else dropped the ball on the gas safety certificate, he stepped in and got it sorted quickly. He kept on top of shifting timescales between me and the landlord, always keeping things moving and keeping me informed. Genuinely helpful, proactive, and easy to deal with. Good chap. Negative experience: Absolutely terrible experience. I had to continuously chase them for basic information about the process of renting. The landlord accepted our offer and then the day later decided to increased the rent, and Bairstow Eves told us to take it or leave it. The contract for the house was completed one day before we were due to move into it, which I had to chase up several times. I had asked Bairstow Eves to ask the landlord questions about utilities and never got a response. When we moved into the house the agent from Bairstow gave us the keys, asked us to sign that we received them and the gas certificate, and then left without any sort of walk around. We found the house we rented has some major issues and Bairstow Eves could not care less, told us to talk to the landlord even though the contact details provided don't work. I would encourage anyone looking to rent to never consider this company, they have caused an extreme amount of stress and have shown absolutely zero interest.

Negative experience: I was looking for a new place to live and have found one with Bairstowe Eves. I was helped by Aman and Charlie who were initially very helpful. Unfortunately I would no longer recommend this estate agent. They were due to send my application over to the property manager on 19th September. This clearly was not done as I had a call from the property manager on 8th October to tell me they just received my application. Appalling considering that I had already emailed the agent to tell them to withdraw my application as I needed to vacate my previous property by 1st October. It's frustrating that mistakes were clearly made and that there was no transparency. Thankfully I had a lovely experience with Fearne Malone who found me a lovely property within one week. I would highly recommend Fearne Malone.

Fantastic experience: As a first time buyer, buying on my own, I have found things a bit daunting, but Bairstow Eves have been really supportive during the whole journey, especially Keira and Zahida who have been fantastic. The first property I saw was with Keira and she immediately put me at ease and gave me confidence. She was really helpful and professional, answering all my questions. Unfortunately I didn't get the property after submitting my offer but Keira has kept in touch regularly, contacting me when anything came on the market she thought might suit my needs, and also just checking in to see how I have been getting on with other viewings. Zahida has also been brilliant in helping me purchase my first property. She has explained everything very clearly, making things seem not quite so scary. She is quick to reply to messages and phone calls and also checking in regularly to see how I am getting on with my search. It has made a huge difference to me having people so helpful and encouraging and has made it all that much easier.

Negative experience: CAUTION FOR FUTURE TENANTS - Deposit dispute - Bairstow Eves Coventry / Countrywide Residential Lettings: I originally left a 5-star review for Bairstow Eves Coventry while my tenancy was ongoing, as the service seemed fine at the start. However, my experience at the end of the tenancy was very different. The property was not professionally cleaned at move-in, yet at move-out the landlord, via Countrywide Residential Lettings Ltd, attempted to charge me hundreds of pounds for cleaning on top of other deductions. These included issues that were clearly pre-existing at move-in, such as a loose towel rail, mould around the bath, a missing bedside door knob, and keys that were left in the property. All of these issues were photographed and recorded in the check-in report, but the landlord still tried to claim for them. I had to take the case to MyDeposits, where over 80% of my deposit was returned to me, showing how unjustified the deductions were. Communication after tenancy was poor, and the process was stressful. Future tenants should take detailed dated photos at check-in and check-out, and review the inventory carefully, as pre-existing issues were not acknowledged without formal dispute.

Negative experience: Thought it was good agency when I started but in vain because they asked me to write a review when I got the keys and I gave a fantastic review with their reply you can see below . I have edited the review once I have moved out. I paid a deposit of 1030 & it’s been past 1 month now. There is no-deposit refund from their side nor any help offered from their side. Very poor service. Would not genuinely recommend it to anyone . If anyone has any queries, contact me through mail & I’ll show the mail I have sent & the responses I got. It’s utterly ridiculous to behave to a tenant like this when we are paying our rent rightfully on time. Please do not cheat others. I am still awaiting for my refund as on 15-07-2025.

Negative experience: I wouldn’t trust this agency with buying or selling a property when they don’t even know which house they’re marketing. They mistakenly put a “For Sale” sign outside the house I currently live in — a property that isn’t for sale — causing unnecessary stress for me and my family, as well as awkward questions from neighbours. To make matters worse, they promised to remove the sign the next morning, but two days later, it’s still here, blocking the pavement. Completely unprofessional and careless.

Fantastic experience: Eilish in property management is an absolute credit to the company. Had a leaky tap issue and she was super helpful and incredibly quick to respond. Even when I admittedly was slow to respond, she was persistent and followed up the very next day and got things resolved so quicky and efficiently. I genuinely cannot give her enough praise. An absolute angel.

Negative experience: Terrible company, placed a for sale sign outside my house that wasn’t listed with them. They informed my wife they would take it down in under 48 hours and a week later it is still there. The customer service was terribly - saying they have instructed our team to remove it with no details of who or when. The buyers of my house have family in the road and are questioning why it’s still showing for sale. I’ll end up doing it myself.

She did a great job with helping me sort out my issues even though the actual work had to be carried out by third parties and some of the decision- making was outside her sphere of control. Negative experience: These guys are a pure waste of time. 1. Complained about door lock. 6 months until my tenancy end they did nothing 2. They have internal complaint website to which none sees what you log. Why they have that website is a mystery 3. Rental renewals they don't even care. They simply terminate even if you wish to continue 4. Rental termination date change counter notice, they don't even care. It's their wish when you need to go out. They don't consider your opinion 5. Dont even expect any assistance for landlord reference to your future home applications. They won't fill on time 1000 internal departments and each guy will simply waste your time. Literally the worst ever agency of my life time.
