Fantastic experience: Great experience with Bourne, Gary and his team really looked after us

Negative experience: Waiting 5 weeks for the rerun of my deposit and they couldn’t care less. Poor service from the start and a disappointing duty of care to their tenants.

Fantastic experience: We have recently let our property with Bourne and our experience so far has been very positive, particularly with Kathryne Hopkins. Throughout the months leading up to our decision to let our property there was quite a lot of uncertainty due to delays with my international job relocation. Kathryne was very reassuring, patient, and professional in handling our individual circumstances. The viewings were handled promptly and efficiently and our property was let within days of it being advertised. This allowed for a 2 day gap between us moving out and our tenants moving in - this is fantastic from a cash flow perspective as a landlord! We look forward to continuing to work with Bourne and highly recommend to landlords, especially first time landlords, based on our experience to date.

Fantastic experience: So I used Bournes for the rental of my property over the 2025-2026 calender year. They were swift in the process throughout specifically David who I was dealing with. Full transparency is we unfortunately did find the one bad egg of a tenant but with David’s relentless help and work ethic he over saw everything and ensured a painless experience despite the negative outcome of the tenant. Fantastic experience: Kathryne was extremely helpful and patiently took us round the flat and answered all my questions. Whilst I’d decided on the ground floor flat she still showed me the flat on the first floor to compare. She was very efficient with the paperwork and called and emailed as promised. Negative experience: Viewed a property approx a year ago, felt very pressured into putting an offer on the place. My partner and I viewed the property but didn’t really get time to discuss how we both felt before the young estate agent kept telling us how we should make an immediate offer so we could be the first to offer and it would most likely be accepted. it seemed like we were probably easy targets as we were desperate to move out and had the money to offer. We both didn’t get time to discuss our views and felt so pressured into placing an offer, so much so that we ended up placing an offer of asking price (which it wasn’t worth, I’m seeing now it has sold way under asking). After some reflection for the rest of the day we decided that no estate agent has made us feel that way before, and so pressured and hurried, we retracted our offer a few days later. Maybe a new approach would be the best way to sell a house… you should never feel rushed or pressured when you’re making one of the biggest decisions of your life.

Fantastic experience: Selling my parents’ home was an emotional process for our family and we’re grateful to Hugo, Gary, Hayden, Jim and Ella for making it a positive experience. The entire team was friendly and collaborative from the get go. We never had to chase for information as they would always keep us updated and respond to any and every query straight away. When the first sale fell through due to the buyer losing their buyer, their reaction was immediate and a second sale was secured very quickly. Fantastic experience: Gary was amazing. As we were a chain, he really advocated for us through a difficult case and went above and beyond for us. We were buyers in this instance (selling my own property which had its own difficulties) but Gary negotiated on our behalf. He was thorough, friendly, showed initiative and was always happy to help. We had an awful experience with the estate agents through which I was selling my property so Gary definitely helped keep the chain together and was so refreshing to have someone else chase rather than you having to prompt to chase. Gary also accommodated additonal viewings and allowed worksmen visit the property with sellers consent. He was professional and personable and we couldnt fault our contact with him.

Negative experience: Disappointing Experience – Not on the Seller’s Side My experience with this estate agency was extremely frustrating and left me feeling unsupported as a seller. Throughout the process, it felt as though they were far more interested in keeping the buyer happy than representing my interests. Any time an issue or disagreement arose, they seemed to side with the buyer just to make sure the sale went through, rather than standing up for the person who was actually paying them to sell the property. Another major concern was their fixed-fee structure. Because their fee doesn’t change regardless of the final sale price, there was absolutely no incentive for them to push for the best possible offer. Instead of negotiating strongly or trying to maximise the price, they were quick to encourage acceptance of any offer that came in. It felt like their priority was simply closing the deal, not achieving the best outcome for me. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this agency to anyone looking for motivated, seller-focused representation. My impression was that their approach prioritised convenience over effort and buyers over sellers.

Fantastic experience: We arranged a viewing for a property and dealt with Hugo at Bournes. Although we didn't end up buying the property, we found Hugo to be extremely helpful, informative and in general great to deal with. We would be happy consider using Bourne in the future or recommend them to others based on our experience.

Fantastic experience: I cannot speak highly enough about Steve Darling, who represented our buyers in a very complex chain. When we were struggling to get responses from our own estate agents and solicitors, Steve personally kept us informed and where necessary put pressure on other elements of the chain when our own representatives were showing o sense of urgency. Obviously Steve had no responsibility to us, yet was the only one who empathised with the stress unnecessary delays were causing to all parties and went above and beyond to ensure appropriate action was taken. Positive experience: We had put in an offer for a house in September 2020 and have only just recently moved into our new home. It's been a long wait with issues from other areas of our purchase, however ME were always consistent and helpful with response to my questions and also in chasing any information we needed from the seller’s and their solicitors. When first shown around the property Courtney was lovely and accommodating and followed on from that with very professional and casual emails which made me feel more at ease about the process especially as we were first time buyers. Matt picked up communication with us after Christmas as everywhere went into lockdown and would go out of his way to make sure we had want we needed and would communicate regularly with us throughout the last of the process to keep us updated. When moving in we had some issues with habitability of the house, Matt was on it and chased this straight away with the seller’s and their solicitor which is now in process of being resolved. All in all ME have been the only real constant in our first time buying process and we have been grateful for this. May even consider selling through them too. Thank you! Oh and what a lovely surprise to get a moving in hamper with local goodies and leaflets, very useful!

Negative experience: I'd get them 0 stars. I asked for them to list my property. On both viewings the lights were left on overnight until the next evening when I went back to the property. The cat flap was broken although they claim it was not them eventhough they were the only other people with keys to my property. The worst thing is they let random people view your property if they happen to walk past and are interested. Without checking their situation or if they're really interested in the first place. Obviously this compromises the security of the house as the house is empty. However they saw no issue with this at all. I find this really bizarre. At least other agents ask people to register first so they can be sure they're serious before showing them your property. Such an unprofessional company and they have no respect for your property. All they're interested in is lining their pockets. The agent was very clear in saying they let anyone view the property and register them afterwards if they're interested. A backwards way to do. When I confronted them, the agent couldn't be straight forward and couldn't actually tell me the truth. I kept catching his lies and he kept changing his story. I guess they're just sales people after all! Not sure how many reviews are genuine as many have only done 1 review and that's a sure way to spot fake reviews. I wouldnt recommend them and wouldnt work with them even if they were the last agent available. Awful, unprofessional and disrespectful.

Fantastic experience: I got my dream home thanks to ME’s Joe Joyce, my favourite Estate agent! We have been on a rollercoaster ride and every step he has supported me, even though he was representing my seller. Joe was personable and helpful and made me laugh when the stress was high. Fantastic experience: Used ME Estate Agents for Sale & Purchase - whilst Joe @ Ash Vale was officially only involved in the sale sold for us (Farnham Office for the purchase) he kept the whole team connected and guided us on both fronts throughout the whole process. Joe turned around the marketing of our property within 24hours and his friendly personable approach is great - always available and quick to reply. Our property was sold within a couple of weeks and convinced the 3D Scan had a part to play in that with no repeat viewings needed - meaning offers came in quickly Joe's style and communication is great and he kept us informed (& sane!) throughout all the way through to completion/moving day itself.
