Negative experience: A useless company. I’ve used them as a tenant. My family are landlords ,so I can see both sides of this. I am an extremely laid back person and tenant. I also went above and beyond to make sure costly call outs were avoided where possible. I would be appealed if I as a landlord had paid good money to them for this ‘ service’. 7 years as a tenant in the same property and it was the agent that made me leave. I would have stayed longer. Delays in repairs (over 3 months with no boiler through winter) repairing things that hadn’t been advised needed doing. Repairs left incomplete ie hole left in wall where old thermostat was. Wires just cut and left. When it came to moving out.. I’ve waited over 4 months for my deposit. I chased them 2 weeks after check out after hearing nothing. Sent official email asking for the return…. Nothing. I had to contact the TDS to step in as I had no communication from them. This was sending emails to both the branch and the finance department! 2 months after my email I received a reply only when the 28 days they had to reply to TDS also lapsed. They suddenly realised they probably should do something and unfortunately TDS gave them another day to submit some evidence. Dragging the ordeal out another month or more. They never returned the undisputed part of the deposit and only now that the TDS have come back on the disputed amount are they replying. I’m the one sending more emails requesting the deposit back. If they don’t then I’m having to take them to small claims like TDS have suggested. I recommended the landlord go with another agent which they have done. Would I go with them for any of their ‘ services’ absolutely not. So many other agents to choose and I’m sure better ones to give your money to.

Negative experience: Rang to enquire about a rental and the woman I spoke to was dismissive and rude. Very unhelpful even when I asked if there were any other properties available. She didn't offer to take my details and let me know if anything within our budget would come up. Extremely poor service and I'm only regretful I didn't get her name.

Fantastic experience: We have been a landlord with Leaders for a year now and they have been really prompt when resolving any issues for us. Recently dealt with a renewal and Larissa handled this really promptly and came back to me with any queries straight away.

Negative experience: My experience with this letting agency was nothing short of appalling. At the end of my tenancy, they attempted to charge me £180 for “cleaning” despite the property already being professionally cleaned and all cleaning issues being part of fair wear and tear, I offered a reasonable goodwill payment and even said I’d arrange my own cleaner. This was refused, I was then told I'd be taken to arbitration and would have to pay the fee if I lost, I ended up just paying the fee to avoid the stress which is obviously their tactic. Communication throughout the tenancy was just as bad. Requests were constantly ignored. I asked to move the rent payment date and got no reply. I reported that the boiler wasn’t making enough hot water and was told to take less hot showers instead of it being repaired, Absolutely zero regard for tenant wellbeing. This agency is unresponsive, dismissive, and clearly more interested in squeezing money out of tenants than providing a decent service. I’d strongly advise anyone to steer well clear.

Larissa Hall, the property manager is superb at her job she looks after the issue if any as quickly as possible and solves it very fast. This is my 3rd tenancy with leaders and it is amazing. Jade Cook the letting agent is great at her job. She sorted all the things for me from letting to any maintenance issues.

Negative experience: Do you enjoy not being allowed to contact your landlord AND not being able to speak to your property manager? Then Leaders is for you! The highlight of my time with Leaders property management was highlighting a serious fault to them, being told to ignore it only for a contractor on a different job to highlight it as a problem 9 months later- by this time irreparable damage had occured that kings of course decided we were at fault for. Other than complete lack of property management at all Leaders is extremely attentive with paperwork, for 6 weeks they resent me a document I needed to sign EVERY 4 HOURS day or night to correct spelling errors they had made. The only advice I can give is have your male tenants call them, they seem to take them more seriously ‍♀️ EDIT- leaders you responded faster to my review than any my maintenance requests.

Negative experience: Absolute disgrace of an establishment do not let anything from here. Totally useless at getting any repairs sorted at their properties, we had to wait 4 months for a broken toilet to be fixed. The shower broke and again it took 3 months and a temporary fix was done. And at the end of your tenancy they demand cleaning fees of £300 for the properties from you whether you have cleaned it top to bottom or not and if you refuse to pay they threaten you with legal action. Stay away
