Positive experience: This is a mixed but hopefully fair review. We went with Seymours because they had sold the most properties in our postcode, had a competitive fee, and had done their research thoroughly. Andy was very professional, by far the most positive out of all the different estate agents who valued our property, and I felt provided a more personal touch than the other companies as well. We had a couple of issues with communication, notably receiving little to no notice of viewings and a survey booking. We struggled to speak to the same person at the office so were often given mixed messages. We also weren’t assured when dropping off or picking up keys that no questions were asked (e.g. which house the key was for). When we picked up our key we weren’t asked for any information and we could have been anyone. Finally, there was slight damage during one of our house viewings and we were very unimpressed that, not only were we not notified, but Seymours took no accountability for the damage and became unresponsive for a period.

Positive experience: Initial experience very good, dealing with Luke and Jasper. I was accepted in mid November and had a great initial service. Unfortunately I didn’t complete until early May and paid an additional stamp duty. I was disappointed that the sales progressor Clive Gee wasn’t able to move my purchase along quickly enough. My solicitor was very proactive, however, the management company and seller’s solicitor not so much. I don’t feel Clive really understood the situation. Most of my emails and calls to him had 3-10 day response time. I didn’t see any benefit in the role of sales progressor and found it was myself doing all the chasing. I was informing Clive of the progress updates as he wasn’t even involved in various email chains. Would use Seymours again, perhaps I had bad luck, just something to be aware of.

I personally dealt with Louie Fronzoni who is a highly professional estate agent, able to fully understand my requirements as a buyer, advise accordingly and present only very relevant properties. Having dealt with other agencies I know how easy it is to just waste a lot of time in the process. Louie is someone who listens, doesn’t waste your time, not pushy, and ultimately he is an adviser you can fully trust.

Fantastic experience: Good afternoon The team is very professional, currently one of the most professional real estate agents I have ever seen Professional, patient, work efficiency are very high, friendly communication. But unfortunately, the housing supply in Guildford is relatively tight, and I didn't find the house I needed. I'm on such a tight schedule. If I need to find a new house next time, I will not hesitate to choose this real estate agency

Negative experience: Avoid renting at Racks Court and Seymour’s! I don’t like writing bad reviews, but I wish someone had warned me before signing the contract. Firstly, they tried to overcharge us with incorrect gas bills. Since our property has a communal boiler, the gas bills for our 1 bed flat was coming to the same price as a 4+ bedroom house and they had no system to equitably share the price. We were forced to pay these bills as it is in our contract but we were unaware of how high they would be. Eventually they put in sensors, yet still somehow in their flawed calculations they charged us nearly five times what we actually used. Despite my science background and clear understanding of the calculations, they dismissed my concerns and wasted hours of my working day trying to resolve this. It took over a month of back-and-forth emails, bringing in experts, and proving their calculations had no basis before they admitted fault. Turns out, their engineer had placed the gas sensor in the wrong location—yet they still couldn’t come up with a sensible solution. Beyond this, they were completely unresponsive to major safety concerns. The entrance to the building was pitch black at night, making it dangerously unsafe to walk home. I raised this issue multiple times, and they completely ignored me. But when it came to charging us, they were quick to act. They also tried to intimidate us into thinking we wouldn’t get our deposit back, unfairly blaming us for normal wear and tear in their inventory report. Luckily, we stood our ground and got our money back, but not without unnecessary stress and wasted time. If you’re considering renting through them, think twice. They are unprofessional, unresponsive to real issues, and only interested in squeezing money out of tenants without justification. I hope this review helps others avoid the same nightmare.

Fantastic experience: After trying 3 different agents, Seymours got the job done for us. They were approachable, honest about the price and the market, and touched base regularly. The whole team from sales, to viewings and then chasing the solicitors did a great job, and would absolutely use again

Positive experience: Positively the Guildford office have sold the property. However, I have given 3 stars only, due to the following experience. Very poor at communication. Not only after viewings ( with exception of 2 occasions I had to follow up 2 /3 days later for feedback) but also on the sale progression once the sale was agreed. On several occasions I had to email the director. On taking on the property I was told that the sales team would come to see the property to fully understand what it has to offer: only 3 did come , again after myself chasing! Interestingly the viewing assistant who conducted most of the viewings nether came not asked to view. How you can possibly present a property to a potential buyer effectively if you haven’t yourself become acquainted with the property is questionable. There appeared to be no one sales person taking responsibility for our property. It came across as “ all hands in deck”! My overall impression is that they are more suited to quick sale, lower value properties.

Fantastic experience: I confirmed my offer to buy an apartment in late December and I told Seymours that I want to complete the purchase before end of March in order to save £2500 SDLT. Seymours is very helpful in coordination with all parties and finally we exchanged the contract and the purchase will be completed in time. I express my appreciation to the efforts of Seymours and in particular to Mr Clive Gee who has followed the purchase very closely and did a lot of coordination among all parties. We understand that it isn't a easy job to deal with those solicitors, who usually won't reply to your enquiries. Clive, you did a wonderful job. Thank you

Overall we had a good experience, i think over the 6 months i was on the phone to every agent and i want to particularly call out Clive and Aaron for being so proactive and helpful. Aaron did our 2nd viewing and was so positive, friendly and upbeat both in person and on the phone which we really appreciated. Fantastic experience: I received excellent service throughout the sale of my mother's house from Seymours, both on the sales side (Luke) and progressing (Clive). They took so much of the strain out of a what became a frustrating sale and chased all parties continuously. Not all estate agents are like this!

Fantastic experience: What an excellent service. Chris was very knowledgable about the house when we viewed. Then Chris and Clive kept our purchase on track for the tight completion date we needed. They could not have been more helpful. Would recommend.

Negative experience: Rocky start, horrible ending - honestly, I wouldn’t recommend this experience to anyone Rented with Seymour’s. During my search they where very responsive and accommodating - even then, I was told multiple lies about apartments I was shown, and got stood up outside a property during viewing because “oops, we don’t have the keys till tomorrow” During the renewal period I was told my rent was going up considerably because “they could get more in the open market”, but that I was a “good tenant” so they would give me a £10 discount per month over the "market" price. I refused that joke of an offer and left. They then rented my unit for less than what I was paying originally! They never listed it for the price I was told, so they just straight up lied. While that was happening I got calls for an entire month and a half to do viewings, with notices of under 24h most of the time (which was against what the contract dictates). Overall, they are "nice" until they get you to sign, then will try to milk everything out of you until you leave. Sadly, I have to write this review in an account they can't match to my name as they seem to own the entire region.

Fantastic experience: As soon as I met Charity Holden, I knew she was the only realtor I wanted to work with. She was easy to talk to, I could tell she really understood what I was looking for, and she’s very knowledgeable. Charity and her team were fantastic to work with from the beginning right through to the end. I felt very grateful that she happened to be the person who called me back when I was interested in a property that turned out to be not quite right for me. She helped me find the perfect home and saw it through to the end. Seymours in Guildford was top notch - I’m a very satisfied customer!

He listened to our needs and whilst we didn’t buy through them, we were really impressed with the service standards and communication we received during the search process.

Fantastic experience: The team at the Guildford office were fantastic to deal with throughout our house purchase. Our seller was very difficult and their solicitors were not very proactive. Fantastic experience: We recently went to view a property in Guildford with Aaron from Seymours, who provided a great tour of the property and discussed what others had done in the area to add to the property. He was friendly, personable and made us feel at ease. Highly recommend Seymours, if you are purchasing a property.

Negative experience: Chaotic. Far, Far too many people, no consisted person who was OUR client link. Some agents took possible buyer to our house but had NEVER been there before ! ! ! I was TOTALLY shocked when we had a "cash offer" yet NO ONE undertook legal OR financial due diligence. I used to do these REGULARLY when in the Commercial market. Seymours were totally unprofessional. I also found out the deal had collapsed many days BEFORE Seymours told us !! So many names sent us e mail, to tell us what we had found days, YES DAYS , before. Seymours were behind the curve & disorganised. The eventual buyer was introduced by ANOTHER agent ! who then eventually spent 5 hours talking to other agents, legal teams, removal companies - eventually putting together the 4 property chain to agree an exchange & completions date. Fantastic experience: Like most people in England our house buying/selling process was...challenging, but this had nothing to do with the estate agent side of the process. I can honestly say that were it not for the team in Guildford, and primarily Clive, the process would have failed, the chain would have disintegrated, and my son would still be sleeping in our room. But, thanks in no small part to the team, we were able to resolve all of the problems within the chain, work around the problems, and move into a house where my son has his own room. So thank you! When the time comes in the future and we look to move, we will definitely be using Seymours

Fantastic experience: The best real estate agency in Guildford. They showed us the difference between us and other companies with the service they provided with their helpful and rich portfolios suitable for the houses we needed. They showed us their difference by showing us more than 10 houses in 3 days after our first day of communication.
