Negative experience: Very bad experience! I will not recommend this estate agency ever to anyone! They are getting you in a sole selling contract, which will block you to sell your own house with any other agency for 5 months! They don't bother to advertise your house to much. They even didn't bother to put a selling sign on the house.We didn't get any applications for viewings in 3 months after we start the contract with them! They are valuating the house much lower that is the market price or other valuations from different agencies. They are asking you as owner to drop the advertised price in order to have some viewers based on the idea of lower price much easy selling through their agency. Everything on their works are against the interests of the sellers.

Fantastic experience: Pattinson is the best agency of all in the area. Our situation was not easy as we wanted to buy a house 300 miles away from where we live. Many other agencies ignored us or were downright rude, but Stephen Wilson was very committed and we felt he wanted to help us. Because of his involvement, we decided to ignore the houses put up by other agencies and only work with the Pattinson agency. And it was a very good decision. Stephen arranged for us to view the houses at times that were convenient for us, so that we could view as many as possible at one time. I had never met such a committed agent until I met Kathryn Greensmith, who later became involved in the house-buying process. She was also very helpful, like Stephen. When our solicitors didn't give us enough answers she was always available, answered all our questions, I felt I could count on her, she put me at ease many times. I have never met such wonderful and committed people in any agency. I know I will always work with them again if I ever want to sell or buy a house. I recommend Pattinson Agency wholeheartedly because they are not only agents who do their job, they are also understanding and empathetic people. Thanks to them the impossible became possible for us. Negative experience: Anti-student rhetoric. I am a mature, 27 year old PhD student and I was told my yearly tax free stipend doesn't count towards affordability rating "because I might drop out". And when a person gets laid off they also stop earning money... same difference? Utter rubbish. Literally every other estate agents in the area has either been fine with the stipend situation, or offered an alternative such as up front payment. Not good enough

I had 3 valuations from very well known agents, however the level of professionalism from Katie Montcrieff and the honestey in regard to my expectations was exceptional. I now live in Toronto in Canada. I had an extremely tight deadline (8 weeks) to sell my house and preserve the money I had made on it over ten years. My initial price for the market was possible however slightly high for the current market as evidence by the volume of research Katie provided. I listened....My house sold in 72 hours, for full ask. A bright star in the industry! And an exceptional estate agents with great communication and updates from Laura Nicholson whom guided us to completion and pretty much acted as an advisor throughout! She has a very professionsal approach and used her knowledge, skills and patience (I am registered blind and do not live in England) to guide me through the various procedures involved, which I found very re-assuring and helpful. The result was a very successful conclusion with the property being sold at a price rather higher than I anticipated!
