Fantastic experience: I can't thank this Estate Agents enough, especially Tracy from the Fulwood Office. For a a kind, caring, knowledgeable & professional service who get results, do not hesitate to engage Dewhurst Homes. Read on if you are interested in the specifics. Back in May, we found a property online that we loved, and the property was advertised with two agents, one of whom were Dewhurst Homes. Sadly, we were introduced to the property by the other agent, so we were stuck dealing with them. After viewing, we knew the property was our dream home, however our own property had not sold yet, so we advised this other agent that we still wished to make an offer, of full asking price (because we knew our position was not attractive to sellers) and with the promise that we would move heaven & earth upto & including bridging loans to purchase this one. The other agent refused to give our offer to the seller. We were heartbroken. So I had the thought of contacting the second agent - Dewhurst homes to ask them to explain our position to the seller. I spoke with Tracy to ask if she could tell the seller and she did. Through Tracy, we were able to swap contact information with the seller to work something out, as it turned out the seller was very interested in our offer! At the time, I asked Tracy if we could proceed with her as the agent, but she explained this was not possible due to the other agent introducing us to the property. Which means she helped us completely out of the goodness of her heart, despite knowing she would not be getting the sale herself! She cared more that the property sold, and that we found our dream home, than the commission! Because of her selfless act, we moved into our dream home this week. I wholeheartedly recommend Dewhurst Homes and will be doing so to all my friends and family.

Positive experience: These 4 stars are for Karen Fowler. If it wasn't for her, it would've been 1 star! Long story short, we have sold our house via Dewhurst Homes. The start was positive with another member of staff who was responsive on emails and text. She assured us our house won't be down valued, and she won't let them get away with it if it happens. After the survey, the house was down valued by £10k. She did nothing and even stopped responding. It was like she abandoned us completely. We know that you can't do much about down valuation, but we would've preferred that she said nothing and kept working with us as she was at the beginning. This is where Karen was pretty much the only one who chased the other side to get this sale completed. If you want to instruct Dewhurst Homes, ask for Karen and you won't be disappointed. Otherwise, shop around and give other agents a chance because some are very good and cheaper (my friend was going through her house purchase and the treatment she was getting from her estate agent, not Dewhurst, was amazing). Finally, before you accept an offer, double check the buyers' financial situation, their deposit, lender, mortgage product, etc. and don't trust everything you hear from the estate agent in this regard.

Negative experience: Rang up to book a viewing on a property I was interested in. The lady on the phone couldn’t have shown any less enthusiasm if she tried, she then told me that the property was SSTC (didn’t show this on rightmove). Didn’t even bother to ask me if there were any other properties I was interested in nor did she bother to take my details in case any anything was coming onto the market in the future, or ask about my financial status, she just wasn’t interested at all. I’ve seen more enthusiasm in a morgue! I really wouldn’t recommend Dewhursts at all.

Fantastic experience: Dewhursts estate agents operate to the highest professional standards. The service is simply brilliant, from accompanied viewings to seeing the sale through. I have sold two houses with Dewhursts and I can’t thank the Fulwood team enough. Especially Lauren, Sally and Tracey. One sale was quite complicated but they got it over the line. I recently had dealings with an Expo.uk agent when trying to view a property elsewhere and the contrast with the excellent service provided by Dewhursts could not be more stark. The Expo person was rude and unprofessional. I never viewed the property as they asked for evidence of funds before I had even seen the property. I refused. I would not give such sensitive information before viewing. It was all very odd and uncomfortable. If you want to sell or buy a house, use Dewhursts. You get the high standard of service you pay for. Be very wary of networks like Expo. They might be a bit cheaper but so is their standard of service. Read their reviews online.They are awful. I will never look at a property marketed with them following my experience. Dewhursts are the best. Use the real professionals.

We managed to pull it through last minute just before solicitors closing for Xmas in which our solicitors were telling us end of January! So WELL DONE to Ellie who is new to this business.
