Negative experience: Never experienced such a lack of communication, professionalism and competence. We gave notice to vacate a property managed by kingswood back in January as we are expecting our first baby in June and our landlord put the house on the market, no complaints regarding this but a complete lack of communication from Kingswood left us with no option but to move for our own security. We had been in the property for 2 years and adhered to the terms of the lease, not missing any payments and only ever having 1 repair, we cooperated with all gas safety certs and any landlord requests with anything to do with the house sale. Our lease and inventory both included additional notes stating that all furniture was gifted to the tenant, screenshots to show this both cropped so that no personal details are included. Having lived in the house for 2 years, and having numerous repairs and replacements to appliances and furniture done at our own expense, on the basis it was gifted, when it came to us moving out Kingswood then advised that our landlord wanted the furniture to be left, we advised that we would be taking everything that was not listed in the inventory. With the 2 legally binding contracts signed to say the furniture was ours, Kingswood should probably at this point have advised the landlord that the furniture was ours as per the 2 documents signed by all 3 parties. Our tenancy came to an end on 14th of February and needless to say the furniture has moved with us. We have since had 2 emails only to express their “shock” that the furniture had been taken, despite being pre warned on more than one occasion in January. Nobody at the office has dealt with our £800 deposit, this is sat with the DPS “awaiting landlord response” we have been blown off the phone on so many occasions, nobody is in the office to communicate with us, nobody is available, lunch breaks seem to last all afternoon until whoever we try to speak to is no longer in the office. Kingswood are not moving forward with our deposit, even if there is a dispute, at least this would move things forward. Yet we are still in the dark and we have had to write to the DPS, which is not the easiest process. All this undue stress and frustration is the last thing we need. I hope anyone who is looking to rent a property with kingswood seriously reconsiders.

Negative experience: Had the worst experience trying to find our first rental property with Kingswood. From first ringing up to enquire about a property, which included being booked in to view the wrong property, then being booked in at the wrong time to then receiving the worst customer service when going to view the place by the agent who arrived that day. Despite the horrible customer service, we were still keen on applying which when we tried to do, we were originally deterred but still sent our details across to which we received no response. If you’re not bothered about your rental custom, leave the market.

Negative experience: Do not rent out any properties from this agency !!! The worst in town at the moment. Dont expect any maintenance services from these people. I have filed a complaint against this agency at the council.

Fantastic experience: I rented a place in Preston through Kingswood. And I found this letting agency very professional and helpful in my initial renting procedure. All the things like credit checks, contracts and handing over keys went very smoothly. Once I rented the place, I found out that there were few works which needed to be done. I contacted Kingswood and next day i had a call from their contractor to fix the issues. All my queries were being dealt professionally and swiftly. I just moved out from Preston now due to my work place located in another city. I had a smooth handover process as well when we handed over the keys to Kingswood. I would highly recommend Kingswood. And a special thanks to Andy for making an extra effort for us during this period.

Negative experience: Avoid letting from Kingswood, they are not proactive when it comes to making repairs to the property. don't expect a response to emails or get a call back if it comes to maintenance on the property, you may be lucky enough for you ceiling to come though due to leaks that was reported to 18 months prior, you will get a so-called builder who attempts to repair whilst constantly pointing and repeat the word "problem" ( my 8 year old could of done a better job). They have a fantastic list of approved builders only to be compered as usfull as Frank Spencer.

Negative experience: Not a good place for renting. Internet was not working for 6 months, building was wandalised multiple times by other tenants. Every time I wanted something repaired they threatened me it is going to be at my cost even though they have the duty to repair the premises. They straight down told me my mind should be eased after I asked for asbestos testing of my ceiling.

Negative experience: do not rent from here no matter what they tell you..there flats or apartments will have many underlying issues once you move in which they dont bother to fix properly. my time in there flat located at 12-14 adelphi street, PR17BE was horrible with constant electricity tripping, mould in the flat, cracked walls and water leaking from the walls. plus they dont even have a laundry when they say all bills included. i had to live here with no electricity, food to cook as no electricity, spiders and feces everywhere. you ask them to fix it and they take 2-3 days to send someone to look into it and the problem is not sorted so you basically have to live there all the time without any electricity. because the flat itself has faulty electricity connection. i was basically stuck there as they have charged me 3 months rent and a 500 pound deposit upfront prior to moving in. i just needed a place to live quickly so i trusted them with the process and they provided me a very bad service. Even my friends that visited me were concerned how i was living in such conditions, looking at the state of this flat. I called there estate agents several times to report the issues and they were like we will send someone and then no one turns up until you call, email them like 10 times and when the person turns up they do some kind of repair which does not solve the problem and have to live with no electricity. i asked a person called jake that works for kingswood that i cannot stay like this without cooking food to eat as there is no electricity and then hes reply was buy from takeaways and eat. how can he say that when i pay my full rent. why does he think i should spend 20 pound a day/600 pound a month on takeaway foods while they are incompetent to repair the issues and provide a decent expected service for a tenant. Their estate agents are con masters who trick you into renting their sub standard filthy, disgusting flats by cleaning them right before you check them and move but after you move in the underlying issues become very apparent and they will hold your deposit and not give it back blaming those underlying issues on the tenant. dont believe a single word that comes out of their mouths. They will show their true colors once you get into their property and the tenant will suffer. avoid like a plague. Warning : Their main target are international people who are new to uk or preston whom they think they can fool easily taking advantage of their situation or desperation to find a home. i want to give a negative star

Fantastic experience: I have been dighted with the service that I received from both Jason and Phil. They spent a long time with me explaining everything in the process regarding the renting of my house. They answered all of my questions, but at no point did they make me feel self conscious for my lack of knowledge, in fact, it was the opposite. Negative experience: Scammers, Liars. I just left the house which I rented form them. I have so many issues when I was in the property. The whole house was full of sharp nails under the carpet I injured my self so many times and they didn't do anything. I rented the house for integrated kitchen but the fridge was broken and after 15-20 calls they changed the fridge but the whole kitchen was messed. The kitchen was not integrated any more there was no door on the fridge and 2 selves were all broken. They didn't do any thing. There were already nails on there walls and now they are deducting the money for filling up those nails. They are deducting £480 from my deposit just for making few cleaning changes. They make money by and let the landlord make the money. I really need my deposit money for my daughter's school and now they are not even giving me any thing except some pennies. Please don't go to them in any circumstances. Never ever ever trust them.

Negative experience: Getting a viewing was easy enough unfortunately any follow up emails I sent where ignored and the property I was interested in has been let. I know this happens but the lack of any communication from Kingswood was very disappointing and seeing other reviews have had similar experiences makes me a bit wary to contact them again.

Negative experience: We have a offer on our property and made or tried to make enquiries on a rental and a property for sale with Kingswood. The phone is never answered. My e mail enquiry was never answered. The one occasion my wife did get through she was told Jason would get back to her. That was 3 days ago and still waiting

Fantastic experience: Had a nice experience but still one thing to say that you guys should have atleast a duplicate key or a master key. I forgot my keys in the room and it got locked automatically and had to call a locksmith who charged me 45 quids.

Negative experience: Full of excuses and inaccurate information. Customer service is extremely poor.

Negative experience: They pick and choose people they want to deal with. They evaluate people from telephonic conversation and decide to proceed or not. This is a sort of racism most of the estate agents do. If they listen foreign voice on phone they won't respond back even tough you make follow-up calls and emails. You cannot get viewing appointment if you are a foreigner. They normally say excuses such as the person dealing with it is not here, I shall send emails to him etc. and do not respond back. In business you cannot pick and choose customer. The golden rule is that customer is the king and he is always right. If you want to implement you own ideas it means that your down turn begins. Kingswood shame on you!!

Negative experience: Appalling service from Kingswood. Arranged for a box of personal belongings to be delivered to them from a removals company for me to collect once the house was sold months later. They then denied all knowledge of receiving it despite the removals man going in person into the office and one of Kingswood's staff confirming with them that they had indeed received it (and the manager then tried to backtrack . My recommendation - if you do decide to use these cowboys (and I would highly recommend against it) make sure every single decision/question/answer is on email so you don't go through the hell of dealing with them that we did.

Negative experience: Kingswood Property Letting Mgmt is very bad. When you complain to them about having no water or the people living there that cause problems, they do nothing and they ask you to pay more money for rent but don't care who lives there. There is mould and dirt everywhere and unsanitary living conditions. My house has been robbed and they didn't do anything about it because their cameras don't work. Just because I complained to the council about the state of the place, they told me to leave the house. They never put heating on and there was no hot water for 10 days, it was cold. Absolutely Disgraceful. Even the floors were leaking. I lived there for 6 years and I complained to the council because they didn't put the heating on, they told me to leave within 2 months. I always paid my rent, and I think it is very unfair about how they treat the people who live there.

Suitable tenants have been secured every time a property has become vacant and any necessary repairs have been dealt with in a timely manner. We are more than satisfied with the rental management service they are providing for us.

Negative experience: I have rented from them for more than 1 year and getting anything repaired is a nightmare. It takes ages and they constantly threaten you that you should do that on your own cost even though the housing act says otherwise. Plumber was rude and young men called Oliver was disrespectful and was smirking sarcastically on me when he came to investigate the issue with the unprovided internet which I was trying to resolve for 7 months. Some of their buildings are basically falling down.

One thing to make mistakes as we are all human but to have the audacity to lie to the landlord and blame it on the tenant who is a customer as well, is beyond forgetting. Unlucky for them we know the landlord and we have too much respect for her to do the things they are accusing us of.
