Negative experience: Maybe it's just me and we were just unlucky but I guess that is the point of giving a review, my wife already described the situation, we had 3 viewings booked with very little time between them which was highlighted as we are going from London to Newcastle we won't be driving around so we need a bit more time, I didn't think too much of it because as long as all 3 bookings are with us I thought it would be ok. Why would you book a viewing with others? That is such a poor customer experience, I don't want to see a house with other people who are "competition" for that house, I want someone to give me their full attention for that time slot and tell me about the house, the surroundings, the schools, shops, etc. I don't think that is a high standard to ask for, that should be the average - if not minimum - expectation.

Fantastic experience: I recently completed both the sale of my property and the purchase of my new home through Brunton Residential, and I am absolutely delighted with the service I received. Negative experience: We booked three viewings for Friday 13 February and one for Saturday 14 February, yet in the end we were only able to see one property. When arranging the appointments over the phone, I explained that we would be walking between the properties and would need sufficient time to do so. Despite this, the Friday viewings were scheduled for 4:45pm, 5:00pm and 5:15pm, which realistically left no time at all to move between them. I assumed this had been noted and taken into account. On Friday afternoon we were 10 minutes late and the agent called asking where we were. I explained we were just a couple of minutes away and apologised. She said she had another appointment and told me to hurry. I pointed out that the next appointment was with us as well. I also explained that I am pregnant and walk slower than usual, and apologised again. By the time we arrived two minutes later, she had already left by car for the second property and told us to walk back from where we had just come, as she was showing the house to other people. We had not been informed that this would be a group viewing. She then suggested that after that we could walk back again to view the original property. As I am pregnant, I explained that I could not keep walking back and forth continuously and preferred to wait at the first property and skip the second, especially as it was clear the schedule was overbooked. She stated the second property was “two minutes away,” but when I checked the map it showed ten minutes. It did not make sense for us to rush back and forth again only for the same situation to potentially repeat. When she returned to the first property at 5:20pm, she opened the door but did not show us around or provide any information about the house. She then informed us that we could no longer see the third property because it was too late. When my husband asked whether the property was furnished or unfurnished, she stated it was furnished. I remembered from the listing that it was flexible, so I had to correct that myself. We have rented and purchased properties before and have never experienced such a dismissive and unprofessional attitude from an estate agent. We travelled from London to Newcastle specifically for these appointments, so this was not a minor inconvenience. To make matters worse, we had another viewing booked for Saturday at 1:45pm. When I called the office at 10:20am on 14 February, I was told they were “just about to call” to cancel due to sickness. This was a very disappointing and poorly managed experience. The viewings were clearly overbooked and there was little consideration for clients’ time, travel, or circumstances.

Fantastic experience: Courtney at Brunton Residential Jesmond handled my account. As a first time landlord she was very tentative and both herself and her team were very accommodating with my questions. Turnaround was very quick and handled with excellent professionalism. Thank you Courtney!

Negative experience: I live in London and am relocating to Newcastle, called today to make an offer on a property that we are very very interested in, the guy I spoke to didn't seem interested in letting me make an offer, was quite rude over the phone, not very good customer service

Fantastic experience: We actually started our sale with a different agent and it was a bit of a nightmare to be honest, so switching over to Brunton Residential was easily the best move we made—they are truly in a league of their own. Right from the start, getting the valuation sorted was an absolute dream. The guy who came out wasn't your typical 'pushy' estate agent; he was really down-to-earth and professional, which made me feel comfortable and confident in their approach straight away. The process didn't slow down once we signed, either. They actually listened to us regarding the marketing—the photography appointment was scheduled at a time that was actually convenient for me, and the pictures themselves were brilliant quality and really made the house stand out. What really set them apart, though, was the sales team. After our previous experience, we were worried about being left in the dark, but they were great and kept us in the loop with constant communication the whole time. You never had to chase them for an update. If you’re looking to sell and want a team that actually delivers on what they promise, I can’t recommend them enough.

Fantastic experience: We used Brunton Residential for the first time and were very impressed from start to finish. All queries were answered straight away by e mail or a call which eased the stress of selling a home. Russ, who we knew from a previous estate agents where he worked came out to see us and value the house. Russ puts you at ease from the start and makes everything effortless. The House went out on a Thursday night at 8pm and we had a viewing arranged for 9.30am on the Friday morning. By 11am we had accepted an offer from the cash Buyer, amazing! We could not believe it. From there Jess from After Sales took over and she went above and beyond to make sure we were updated, even responding to e mails late at night, brilliant customer service. The Team at Brunton are very responsive and polite, a special mention to Leon who was very helpful in the early part of the Sale. Definitely use Brunton again in the future

Fantastic experience: I have recently sold a house through Brunton. Following a waste of 6 months with a local agent, I re listed with Brunton. From the start I received an excellent service, special mention to Abbie and Russ. They helped me through the whole process and found buyers who were committed and keen complete the sale in 7 weeks! Thank you so much, I have no hesitation in recommending this estate agent if you want to sell your property.

Negative experience: Well done to Brunton Residential for earning a well-deserved 1 star — not only for breaking their own contracts twice, but for also losing to the deposit protection scheme. Brunton began by sending a property condition report at the start of the tenancy claiming everything in the house was “excellent.” We immediately disputed this, as the property was handed over in a filthy state — their own photos even showed dust and grime. Brunton were informed from day one that we would not be professionally cleaning the house at the end of the tenancy, and they acknowledged this in writing. At the end of the contract, Brunton then decided to withhold over half the deposit for “cleaning fees.” They broke their own agreement by notifying us of deductions well beyond the time frame stated in their contract. We challenged their claim with clear evidence — emails, photos, and the contract itself — and, unsurprisingly, Brunton lost. The full deposit was returned, plus interest. Maybe I’m owed an apology for the time wasted dealing with such an incompetent agency. If they can’t even follow their own contracts, I’d dread to imagine the chaos of purchasing a property through them.

Fantastic experience: My partner and I recently completed a sale and purchase with Brunton Residential in Great Park and we could not be happier with the support we received. We worked with the team from February until the end of June and they helped us successfully sell our old house and secure our new home in Great Park. ​The entire team at Brunton Residential was absolutely amazing. We were particularly impressed with their communication, which was always exceptional, timely and caring. Fantastic experience: Buying/selling your home is never stress-free experience, but Brunton really do make you feel supported. I'd specifically highlight Jess as my sales progressor and Ashleigh for stepping in as needed too. The sale had a few hiccups and Jess kept all parties informed and moving in the right direction, despite everyone getting super stressed over the months, resulting in some tantrums and last-minute chaos. I never had to worry that I couldn't reach someone when I needed to, and the team were always happy to support on various queries related to the sale or wider estate agency industry.

Fantastic experience: I listed my property with Brunton and Russ was very proactive even prior to listing,arranging viewings with prospective buyers who had viewed similar propertys.Very professional with his guidance to me regarding pricing as i was looking for quick sale for a realistic and fair price.The property was sold within 24 hours of being listed.As good as Russ was,selling is always the easy part of most businesses and what has impressed me the most is the way the sale progression team has held my hand all the way through from sale agreed to exchange from an aftersales & customer service perspective.Jess in particular has been the glue that has held everything together,Jess was always keeping me updated with progress of sale,very professional with her approach,in addition to always responding me me normally within the hour,i had a weekly update from Jess with a detailed update of progression,from the lawyers progression side,surveys,valuations,all the way up to handing the keys over.I could not recommend Jess and her team enough.Thanks to Leon too for his updates in her absense. Russ provided us with a realistic valuation for our property. The photos were also very professionally done with a walk through video which made our house accessible to people wanting to take a look before booking a viewing. Fantastic experience: The only words that I can use to describe my experience with Brunton Residential in Great Park are "Outstanding & Consummate Professionals". My experience started with Russ who came to value our property. He walked us through the market, showed us what was selling, how long the sales were taking, what was desirable and how long we should expect the process to take. He was upfront, honest, and we never felt like he was just in it for the commission, he was the complete opposite. He knows his stuff and he knows customers concerns. We felt very at ease with him. Our house never made it to the market, his team managed to send prospective buyers to us before we went live and within a few days we had sold for substantially over the asking price. Our next contact was Jess in sales and all I can say is "give that girl a raise" she was outstanding from start to finish. Her process of weekly updates kept me sane during some testing weeks and even when she did not have any updates for us, she would still email us to say she had no updates and not to worry as this was normal at this point in the sale. Jess is an absolute credit to Brunton and just from dealing with her and Russ if I was to sell again I would simply go direct to them. House sold very quickly due to good advice and fantastic photos. I also needed to buy and they really helped me through that process too. They prepared a great listing with Matterport survey, leading to plenty of viewings within the first few days and sale agreed in just over a week. The WhatsApp group set up meant communication was very easy and everyone was kept informed. From the point of agreeing the sale, Abbie in the sales progression team was excellent and kept us up to date through the entire process. Fantastic experience: We selected Brunton to sell our apartment as we were impressed with the professionalism they showed when we met them. An excellent brochure was produced which showed the apartment at its very best. In the first week we had several viewings and 3 good offers and we selected one to go ahead with as the buyers were keen to have a quick settlement date. Unfortunately things did not proceed as we or the buyers hoped due to the conveyancing company they chose to use. Bruntons Abbie Tron moved heaven and earth to attempt to move the sale along but due to the reluctance of the buyer’s solicitor it took just under 6 months to complete the sale. Bruntons were excellent the whole way through and I’m sure we would still be waiting for a settlement date had it not been for her. I thoroughly recommend the team at Bruntons.
