Negative experience: They were OK i've used better with much more communication. And I wouldnt use the solicitors they recommend either they were useless and so slow. I am referring to Davisons Law. I suggest you find your own.

Negative experience: Me and my partner came in to view a property, the ladies who do the viewings are all great and super lovely. The young girls in the office are also super friendly and approachable. We've had a bad experience with Joanne in your office, she wasn't nice to us and was quite rude. If you're looking to sell your property I would really advise you to do so with another agent. To any of the directors, I think your more seasoned staff need more training in customer service.

Negative experience: Lovely staff doing the viewings. Shame Joanne is exceptionally rude and condescending when you want to make an offer. Hopefully your clients read this to see how you treat cash buyers. Update 26/2/25 - after being told by Joanne 6 days ago that the seller of 2 Laburnum close would only consider offers over 240k the price has been reduced today to 240k. I had made two cheeky but not silly offers on the property and withdrew the second after Joanne chose to send condescending emails about my offers. After the first offer Joanne had called and said it must be over 240k for the vendor to even consider it and didnt invite me to renegotiate althoigh I had stated in branch I saw my first offer as a starting point not a rigid figure, she later backtracked this and invited me to renogotiate. I believe but do not know for certain this was after speaking to the other people in branch who had given myself and my partner the time of day rather that looking myself and partner up and down like we had just been brought in on a dog walkers shoe. The reason 2 Laburnum close hasn't sold is Joanne and Joanne only. I was told in branch that in the 18 months it has been on the market there had been no offers and in Joannes later phone call that it was already discounted 25k (it was originally listed at 265k and was currently priced at 250k at the time of that conversation, shame you misspoke while otherwise doing such a great job). I'm glad that Joanne took the time to explain in her email that Dourish and Day achieve within 2% of asking price and that the market in Stafford is very strong because the huge glut of reductions of properties on their books on boxing day does appear to say otherwise! If the vendors read this and want to reconsider my second offer, please list the property elsewhere and we'll talk. Edit 30/12/25 Seriously, going though my review history and flagging them all as fake to try to get this one removed won't resolve the issues you have as an estate agent it just makes you look worse when it's pointed out.

Negative experience: STAY AWAY. SCAM. The worst experience I had in my life. Contract will be signed for you for few months between you (the tenant) and agency then when it comes to renewal they will pass you to landlord and you will forced to deal with the landlord and not the agency which will put you in difficult situation and chase the landlord for any maintenance in the house and will not be protected by the agency. AVOID AT ALL COST.

Negative experience: Bought my house with these lot last year as a first time buyer. In that time with Dourish & Day I was lied to, nagged repeatedly for things they already had, and insulted for "being cheap" for not using their in house mortgage brokers and conveyancers (and thank god I didn't cos mojo mortgages were fantastic) because they obviously get hundreds of pounds for that referral. Have warned every family member I can think of.

Fantastic experience: Dourish and Day in Stafford sold our mums bungalow in Gnosall. They found buyers almost instantly each time it went on the market. Good communication and always welcoming, the sales and sales progression teams were incredibly helpful. Even when the sales fell through further down the chains, the team were excellent and fair, re marketing and re-viewing the bungalow with great success. We finally completed a week ago, and we couldn’t have asked for a better more attentive and friendly service from our estate agents. They made the whole process as smooth as possible, they responded promptly to any queries and put us at ease during what can be an extraordinarily stressful time.

Negative experience: After netting one of the owners years ago we were impressed at the knowledge of only of the area but what properties may be of interest to use. A few years later we decided to sell our home and after driving around Stafford all I see is sold sold sold and Dourish Day seem to hold the market. I understand that the market is slow and moving can expensive let alone one of the most frustrating experiences.. get it wrong and it’s damaging. The pre listing was agreed he contracts were signed and the property marketed. Great pictures, valued and photographs great. Video good.. a few amendments to include the extras that help to sell and despite communicating these were still in the same position. Someone’s when a company gets too big it loses focus on why it’s here .. it becomes more about a sale sign a quick profit and loses focus on a property. I’ve offered to pay 10.5k stamp duty as an inventive yet the agent made the decision it wouldn’t help bit to look at reducing the asking price (we’re open to offers) Ample opportunity to put things right yet nothing. I wouldn’t use Dourish day again. And while we might not get a sale with another agent. I’d rather look at a smaller agent who can still give me the same exposure but would be more personable and what is needed when selling your home

Negative experience: Called for about 2 weeks asking for update an housing application and was told they would get back to me with answers, which they failed to do. Held off other applications as was waiting to hear back from them. Not reliable at all

Fantastic experience: We have had an excellent experience with Dourish and Day and would highly recommend them. The situation wasn't ideal as we were selling my Mum's bungalow following probate and neither my brother nor myself lives nearby. Regardless of this, from the first moment Steve came to value the bungalow, we have both felt very confident in the service they've given us. James and Nicola who have looked after the sale once we'd decided to use them have been fantastic. We have been kept fully apprised of the situation and their communication has been professional, friendly and clear. They're doing a great job dispelling the bad reputation estate agents generally have!

Negative experience: Poor customer service,We put offer in on property for cash sale had no reply for couple weeks other than our offer email,I emailed for updates only to be told seller has accepted another offer,we had no call or response from agents to let me know seems a strange way to treat buyers maybe I’m not preferred??

Fantastic experience: We recently bought and sold a house through Dourish and Day and were very impressed with every aspect of the process. They provided an excellent customer care service and were very responsive to any query. Every member of the team we dealt with was very friendly, professional and supportive throughout the whole process, and we always felt they were just a phone call or email away, always knowing that a prompt response could be guaranteed. A particular shout out should go to Nicola Hart in Sales Progression for her never ending encouragement and updates - her calm and diligent approach made some very stressful days much easier to bear. It is clear we are not alone in our positive view as their ‘for sale’ boards seem to dominate the Stafford landscape and most of the time the ‘we have sold it’ goes on very quickly.

Fantastic experience: Recently sold a house with D&D and can totally recommend it. From the viewing process to the completion i was updated as often as required. Special thanks to Nicola Hart who was very patient and understanding throughout the whole process.

Negative experience: We were selling a house with them and wanting to buy a house that they had advised. I spoke with the agent and made a viewing on a house to find out that the house that I was viewing was a different house. I rang to chech this with them and x3 members of staff told me that it was the house and I was wrong. They then told me that they had used other photos of a different house.James who told me this was very rude to me and said I could talk with Steve the director well what could I say he was the rudest most unprofessional person I have spoken to telling me that I should have read the small print. So i cancelled the viewing. He then phoned back to apologize for his staff not knowing what they were talking about but refused to apologize for the way he spoke to me. So we have now taken our house off the market with them and would recommend you give them a wide birth. If this is how they talk to customers both selling and buying it shows how unprofessional they are. Oh they then rang me to see how I got on with the viewing I had cancelled. The last thing is they never call you back when they say they will.

Negative experience: Really poor experience. Only interested in new business. Sales progression team were not interested in taking our sale forward. The recommended solicitors by Dourish and Day have made numerous mistakes throughout the process. Was promised a file review that has not happened.

Negative experience: I am very disappointed with this estate agent, viewed a property, and was very very interested, I rang the estate agent directly after we viewed to state we were very interested in the property, and I was advised that someone would call us back to discuss our viewing. No one called us back, agreed we are in a position where we need to sell our property, now we see on rightmove its sold STC. A telephone call to advise of this fact would have been courtious, I'm mind very very bad customer service. The estate agent we are using to sell our property constantly calls us to advise us of the current situation with our sale, why oh why couldn’t they have called us to advise us the property we viewed had been sold. It's totally unprofessional.

Negative experience: First experience when looking to purchase not brilliant to be honest. Not customer friendly in showroom, slow, disinterested and didn’t get service I wanted with options of homes when gave price range. Definitely would not sell my home with D and D as I did not feel confident effort would be put in. Asked for viewings on properties but again not upbeat response so see what happens!

Fantastic experience: Coping with a house sale is stressful enough but coping with selling a property when you live 200+ miles away could be a nightmare unless, like us, you picked Dourish and Day as your Estate Agents. From start to finish the whole matter flowed smoothly with regular email updates and phone calls from friendly, knowledgeable staff. She is a legend and like a dog with a bone- without her diligence, I do not believe I would be sat in my beautiful, new home today- thank you so, so much for keeping things moving in the right direction. You looked after us beautifully and I cannot possibly thank you enough. What I loved best about Dourish and Day was that if your designated lead was on holiday, their desk was still worked. Negative experience: Appalling estate agents! Landlords / Tennats go anywhere, BUT Dourish & Day! We requested a viewing and explicitly stated our credit circumstances. Advised all is well and would meet us at the property. Upon attending the property, the landlord advised the agent can no longer attend (but thankfully was happy to show us round). After no follow up call what do ever from the agent I decided to call, where I was instructed to complete for tennant passport. An hour later the most insulting girl I’ve ever spoke to called and stated due to credit issues we are not eligible. This is despite 1) Considerable earnings showing we can afford double the rent of stated property each month & 2) the fact we disclosed credit issues and was advised this would be acceptable. What estate agents fail to turn up to viewings, and worse still fail to even let the customer know? I appreciate the credit issues, hence why this was disclosed up front, but the no can-do attitude from lady was atrocious. Worse still she didn’t even understand insolvency laws. My advice? Use Connells, or better still any agent but Dourish & Day!
