Our Estate Agent, Forrest Sherwin, called the day before our first meeting to introduce himself and instantly made me feel that we were in safe hands. For our valuation meeting, he made lots of positive comments about my home and garden, which put me at ease. Selling the family home is a very emotional thing to do and Forrest clearly understands this. He put my worries to rest and shared some impressive data about the success rates of selling with Butters John Bee. He took lots of photos, including the cat! Then stayed for a while, just chatting to me and my family. Forrest says he likes working in property sales because he is a people person. He certainly is that and I'm thankful that he is the person who is helping us to sell our home. Update: Unfortunately, with no viewings after 3 weeks, despite sincere promises about their active marketing approach, I contacted Forrest for an update. He told me then that he no longer worked with BJB; he had a new job with a different company. Having used his sales skills to charm us into believing that the sale of our home was his priority, it was really disappointing to find out that this was not the case. We really feel let down and will be moving to a different estate agent as soon as we can. Not such a people person after all.

Fantastic experience: I recently used these estate agents for a urgent valuation I needed of my mum's house as she had recently moved into a care home. Butters John B estate agent were extremely accommodating and the following day Forrest Sherwin arrived to carry out the valuation. I was impressed, as he called me a short time before our appointment time to let me know he was on his way. Forrest was very thorough asked lots of questions and was also very understanding and sympathetic with my situation. He promised to send the valuation via email the next day which true to his word , arrived. He was very clear but no pressure , on the next step should I need to then make the move of putting the property up for sale. I was very impressed with the prompt efficient service that Butters John Bee estate agent provided, and extremely pleased and impressed with the service that Forrest provided. I would definitely recommend this estate agent with what I have experienced so far.

We had a viewing with a different estate agent after and they couldn't even answer a single question about their property so it was a great experience with Paige

Negative experience: Quoted one price to sell my home that then went up a 1000 pound in the contract. Very quickly that was brushed aside as an error. Lack of communication Not listening Turning to show the home when I was showing myself Multiple calls in a week when I had said I was unavailable dealing with an issue Also the sales negotiator took the liberty to fill in a customer satisfaction survey on my behalf, by doing this is shows they have no intention of improving. And now when have called to try to have the house remove from their site they didn’t answer the phone the first 14 times and when they did I was told I’d have to await 28 days to have the house taken off their books So far I’ve not spoken to anyone who can explain this or justify it and I’m still waiting for a notification that it’s even off sale. Eventually spoken to a manager from a different branch who was able to assist me, which they did with out an issue. Only to then receive a thinly veiled email from the Stafford branch holding my house to ransom again if I was to sell. Avoid these people like you’d avoid STI.

Negative experience: I own a property next to a property in Stafford managed by butters John bee, the poor tenants have had a maintenance issue for over 7 weeks with the boiler making an horrendous noise at various times of the day including 3.00 in the morning, they have assured me at numerous times will be sorted and indeed at last complaint would be sorted this week without fail, what a suprise not sorted and yet again by daughter has to leave her home to get any sleep at a weekend, terrible service. What does not help is nobody ever in Stafford and contractor not based here, avoid them As an update now the 9th January and issue still not sorted, now 11 weeks, have been here an hour and gone off three times, if contractor cannot do anybody else would get another contractor, the poor tenants having to put up with the noise over Xmas, I am sure if the supposed maintenance team lived in the house would of been sorted 10 weeks ago. Further update 17th January and after promise would be sorted on 13th, what a surprise still not sorted, now say part broken and coming back 21st, this is day 83 from when first reported.

And was sold over a year ago. Clearly you don’t bother with due diligence. I have contacted you and the call centre your number transfers me to about this to no avail. So from now on every time I get a phone call asking about my house I’m going to leave you a 1 star review. I get a lot of calls.
