Negative experience: Not impressed with this estate agency. We booked a viewing for an apartment which we received confirmation by text, just for us to travel all the way there and the estate agent (Rebecca R) didn’t show up. We arrived early and even waited 20 mins after the booked time and still no one to be seen so we phoned them. We then got told that they will call us back which they never did. We eventually called a few times to get through to someone who actually was willing to call us back to let us know the situation which we were told that the viewing was not booked in the first place! Then why did we get a text confirmation? You could at least notify us that the viewing is cancelled then we wouldn’t have travelled all the way there around our work commitments! Communication is very poor and unprofessional. I would be very cautious using this estate agency at all in the future.

Fantastic experience: My partner and I worked with Rebecca in the Haybrook Crookes office looking for our first home together. As first time buyers we were quite intimidated by the process, but Rebecca was incredibly kind and friendly, and she immediately put us at ease. With Rebecca, we've been able to find a home that felt right for us, and feel in safe hands for the completion process.

Positive experience: As one of the most expensive estate agents operating is Sheffield you would expect a premium service out matching their competitors. We had agents from Whitehorns, Hunters, Evans Lee all of which offered a more affordable service than Haybrook yet we decided upon Haybrook due to their reviews and service expectations based on their price. Credit where credit is due - Haybrook took some excellent photos of the property which wowed us when they were displayed along with our listing. This has been the only positive of our experience with this estate agents. Communication - This was nothing short of abysmal, we received poor communication throughout the entire process with viewings not being communicated and showing up at our door when we were unprepared, emails left unanswered, calls left unreturned. This happened frequently throughout our house sale and often left us floundering for information. We sent an email of complaint early on in the process highlighting the issues we were experiencing, this improved communication for a while but unfortunately this wasn't maintained. I'm not sure what went wrong, judging from the other reviews, other people have had a much more positive experience than we did. The service we received was unsatisfactory and would reflect a much lower price bracket than what we are actually paying. Following raised concerns however, Haybrook's area manager did make contact to make ammends and has apologised on behalf of the service for the issues that we had experienced throughout our sale. It is my belief that the issues I have expressed will be addressed reducing the likelyhood of them happening again for others using this estate agents.

Fantastic experience: Haybrooks acted propmptly and professionally in the sale of our flat. Rebecca Rayner was especially efficient and diligent in following up a very difficult and not very efficient solicitor. she was always calm and pleasant. she deserves a customer service award!

Fantastic experience: I just sold my house via Haybrook in Crookes. I couldn’t recommend Chloe high enough. From the minute she starting dealing with the sale of the house, she was on the ball. Chasing potential buyers for feedback, keeping me updated of viewing , comments , offers etc … we didn’t have the easiest of sale but Chloe was super tenacious , driven and committed whilst remaining super professional at all times . She also happens to be a lovely person. I was very impressed with her nudging all parties involved along gently to insure a prompt sale as per my request. Fantastic experience: I recently purchased through Haybrook and cannot speak highly enough of the team; Lola, Simon & Christina. My purchase became complicated as the vendors purchase fell through twice (no fault of Haybrook!) which delayed my purchase. As a result, my searches/mortgage offer were about to expire. However, Christina did an amazing job at setting up a communications channel between the solicitors in the chain to ensure the exchange and completion went through with no issues. Throughout the whole process, I was kept up to date by Lola, Simon and Christina on a regular basis. I would 100% recommend using Haybrook Crookes and will be using them for any future sale!

Negative experience: I rated the agent five stars before after I got an offer and accepted it. However, I felt not being supported appropriately but pressurised and even bullied during the process from finding another property to completion. Sheffield’s property price was slightly raising in the last two quarters but Christina always threatened me that the buyer would pull out. Without her misleading, I could be at least several thousand pounds better off. What made me really upset was that she blamed me for choosing a property in a chain to purchase. I felt that she was gaslighting me and not professional at all. I did not change my rating to one star only because I considered the early good experience. BTW, the agent charged a lot more than other agents. Please avoid Advanced Lawyers that they recommended. Their APP-aided communication could drive you crazy if you are like me, a responsive person.

It was quite a complicated process selling our house and finding the right new place to move into and for reasons outside anyones control ended up taking a year. Lola was proactive, dynamic and so,so caring and supportive every step of the way and we are now in our dream house, delighted with the person who is taking the old house into its next chapter! Buying/selling houses is not a simple experience and as well as a highly skilled estate agent, you want someone with exemplary people skills, compassion and dedication to get you through every step of the journey. Negative experience: Absolutely terrible service from this branch of Haybrook. I had an offer accepted to buy a flat, which fell through due to issues in the chain. They withheld information from me about there being a probate transaction in the chain and also failed to explain when there were issues that resulted from this. I found out three months on, via conveyancers after I had already paid out for searches, survey and other costs. Phone calls were not returned and I was left to find out that my purchase had fallen through by an email from the solicitors again, with the contacts in the office suddenly unable to take phone calls. When I left a negative review on here to start with suddenly they were able to use the phone again, trying to get me to remove my honest opinion. I had been told at the viewing that the vendor would move out to live with family if necessary to allow the transaction to go through, to then be told this wasn't feasible and now be told he didn't have family he could stay with - obviously, one of these statements is not accurate! I have spent weeks going back and forth trying to get my complaint resolved with them, each time being presented with a different version of events, rather than just accepting things were badly handled and trying to do what they can to put it right. I accept things go wrong with property transactions, but this review and rating are my considered opinion of how Haybrook in Crookes chose to handle this.

The only aspect that could be improved upon is your ability to negotiate the price with the vendor / your client so to speak once major e.g. electrical faults, etc. are being identified by the surveyors & qualifies tradesmen. Buyers would struggle to absorb all costs, I am sure you understand that. Fantastic experience: Christina showed us around a fabulous property in the S10 area. She provided us with a lot of information about the property itself, the market as a whole and provided invaluable guidance to us as first time buyers. Fantastic experience: We recently had an offer accepted on a property but needed to get our house on the market as quickly as possible - it was quite stressful with a young baby at home but Christina at Crookes was able to do everything for us incredibly quickly. From choosing to go with Haybrook, to having photos taken, to going to market, it took only two days - which included a Sunday! We hosted viewings over the following weekend (where Haybrook were able to get a lot more interest than we expected) and have now (Monday morning) received a number of offers that we are delighted with. Fantastic experience: Haybrook Crookes have been absolutely fantastic to work with selling our house. We spoke with 3 of the high street agents and were most impressed by Christina and her team. Christina clearly takes personal responsibility for her team doing a great job. I had a very particular photo that I wanted for the front of the house that was difficult to take due to the house position.
