Fantastic experience: After agreeing our sale 7 weeks ago, we have now exchanged and will complete at the 9 week point, so we are beyond happy with how smoothly this has gone and the team at Simon Miller, inclusive Wasim, Jeremy and Kelly, have been amazing to work with. The solicitors they recommended to us have also been incredible and they clearly compliment each other with how they work together, so it’s been a perfect dream team to get us over the line this efficiently. We had previously sold to another buyer, but unfortunately they decided not to continue with the purchase, right as we hit the quiet period of budget season, followed by Christmas. We did have a few interested parties, but they weren’t proceedable and we were feeling quite disheartened, but the team were there to reassure us that we would get our sale, at the price we wanted, and they were so right! And any time we needed to contact them they responded very quickly, with Wasim often replying out of hours and even while he was away on holiday! Negative experience: While the house was eventually sold, the overall service I received was significantly below the professional standard I expected. ​I found myself having to manage the marketing of my own home. I had to specifically request that an advertisement board be placed outside, and I had to intervene regarding the online listing because the primary photo was poor and failing to attract buyers. It should not be the client's job to ensure the marketing materials are effective. ​Furthermore, I felt there was a complete lack of proactive support. I received almost no communication or calls to see how I was doing or to provide updates. Incredibly, the estate agent for the property I was buying—whom I am not paying—was more helpful, communicative, and supportive than your team. ​Regarding the sale price, the only advice I received was to continuously "drop the price" to secure a quick sale, with no effort made to protect my profit or negotiate a better outcome for me as the seller. ​Finally, I must address the conduct of one of the female staff members in your office. On multiple occasions, she was incredibly rude and dismissive. Her tone of voice made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable, and I never felt treated like a valued customer. ​Based on this experience, I would find it very difficult to recommend your services to others.

Fantastic experience: I chose a Simon Miller over the other agents I had to value and sell my mums house, after she had passed away, as I felt the other agents were just too pushy. I’m so pleased I did. Jeremy was very professional while having a very calm and friendly manner. Once we had a buyer I had regular chats with Jeremy who explained everything as we went along and kept me calm when things got a bit tense. It was by no means a straight forward process and at no fault to Simon Miller, took way longer to get to the finish line than we all expected. That said we got there and Jeremy was the person to tell me the sale had completed which was a fitting end to a long journey. It’s not easy selling your parent’s house after you have lost them but Simon Miller, especially Jeremy, made it bearable.

In initial valuation with Wasim he was very informative about the whole process, what everyone's involvement would be and who to contact if any problems or questions arose. Negative experience: Simon Miller is an absolute disgrace of an estate agent. My parents agreed to buy a house at the full asking price and were told it would be taken off the market. That promise meant nothing they shamelessly showed it to other buyers and sold it behind their backs over the weekend. This isn’t just incompetence, it’s downright dishonest and manipulative. They strung my parents along, wasted their time, and crushed their hopes. If you’re thinking of dealing with Simon Miller, don’t — unless you enjoy being lied to and betrayed. Appalling company with zero integrity. 5 star snake oil salesman!!!

Negative experience: I usually avoid giving bad reviews, but I unfortunately had a very poor experience with Wasim and Brook from the Maidstone branch of Simon Miller. While they might handle straightforward cases well, our situation was far from simple. The person buying our house encountered issues with their property, and we were left in the dark for about three weeks. Despite our repeated attempts to get an update on the sale status, we were ignored. We were concerned about having to withdraw from the property we were purchasing and decided to email Wasim for clarification. The response we received was shocking—he instructed us to stop following up and assured us they would inform us if there was anything we needed to know. However, whenever we did manage to get a response, we were informed of new developments, indicating that they were not proactive but merely reactive to our inquiries. Ultimately, the sale fell through. We learned this from the agent handling our purchase, not from Simon Miller, the agent we were paying. Thankfully, our buyers quickly found a new buyer, and we didn't lose the property we were purchasing. However, after being told not to email anymore, we had to rely on the excellent communication of our buyers' agent and our own purchasing agent, who kept us updated. Even when the sale eventually went through and we exchanged, we first heard the news from the other agents and our solicitors, with Simon Miller being the last to inform us. I found Wasim and Brook to be unprofessional, and I would never recommend Simon Miller Maidstone to anyone.
