Negative experience: Extremely disappointed – Unhelpful and irresponsible after tenancy ended We recently moved out of a property managed by Your Move – Maidstone, and the experience after leaving has been extremely frustrating. At the time of moving out, we were told our deposit would be returned within three weeks. It’s now been over two months, and we still haven’t received it. When we followed up, the only response we received was that the landlord was not replying — as if that completely removes the agency's responsibility. We find it completely unacceptable that an established letting agency like Your Move can just step aside and claim no responsibility, while we’re left chasing our own money. We’ve spent hours following up, making calls, sending emails, and now we’ve had to go through the MyDeposits dispute process, which is yet another time-consuming step. We were reliable tenants, always paid rent and bills on time, and left the property in good condition. Yet now, through no fault of our own, we’re left without our deposit — and without proper support. This whole situation has not only cost us money, but also a lot of unnecessary stress and time. Your Move should do better — especially when they are the ones managing the property and handling tenant relations. If they can’t take any responsibility after the tenancy ends, then what is their actual role? Very poor experience. Would not recommend.

Fantastic experience: Moving from Thailand alone with two dogs to a strange town, I wanted to get a place for us to settle down asap. And right move literally got us viewing in couple of days to a perfect place. The process was all new for me but the agents were kind and worked quickly to help me around and through the process.

Fantastic experience: I have used Your Move in the past and wouldn't hesitate to use them again in the future. I can't fault them. What really stands out (above other estate agents) for me is how much their staff care about you. They make the effort to get to know you and as a consequence it builds trust between the customer and the business. Then when the inevitable hiccups arrive (as with all house moves), you have confidence that they are on your side and know what is in your best interests. Excellent customer service is sometimes hard to come by nowadays but Your Move have it in abundance. I will always recommend them!

Fantastic experience: We originally went with another high street estate agents but firstly, they didn't explain the contract correctly. Secondly, they didnt rent the property out even after having it on the market for more then 2 weeks but with open house still viewings. We then approached yourmove and Demi and her team took over the letting of our flat. With in one week the flat was rented. All of the documents were explained well and the entire process was simple. Fantastic experience: Would just like to say thank you to Ryan and Hayley for all of their support with our move. It is our first time buying and they were always on the other end of the phone, or would call back within minutes, for any questions I had - even if I felt silly asking, they would reassure me that there was no such thing! Their communication was flawless, I never felt like I had to chase as I knew any new information, they would let me know ASAP and were very proactive. Even after the process was done and I popped in after getting our keys, they continued to offer support with anything I might need. Thanks so much both x

Negative experience: Your Move Maidstone is horrendous with communication. Our tenancy started in July 2023. We attempted to contact the team within the first week by sending emails and calling the office. It’s no joke that for months, we were constantly told “She’s in a meeting” or “She’s at lunch”, being offered a callback that never came. We would call back a few hours later or the next day - same response. Not quite sure how long their lunches are at Your Move, but I’d love their work-life balance! We are still waiting on 99% of those callbacks. We also received barely any response to our emails. With the help of Your Move, the landlord is trying to deduct costs from our deposit illegally. The original inventory and check out report haven’t been correctly compared or fairly undertaken. One example of this is a light switch that was pictured to be heavily marked and dirty on the original inventory but was passable by their standards. The exact same marks in the check out report were noted as required cleaning (they can’t be cleaned, we tried). The inventories have clearly not followed the same set of criteria or standards. Plus, charging us for cleaning/repairs that were present upon the start of the tenancy is illegal. Upon speaking with Your Move about certain charges, they said the cleaning fee is above board. She mentioned specific areas were dirty on the check out report, such as the hob. However, in the original inventory, it’s noted that it has “burnt residue” and it’s visibly dirty. We started off with a dirty hob with burned-on marks that were impossible to clean. But they won't accept a similar state back? Another example is the oven, which was filthy when we moved in. We handed it back much cleaner. Not perfect by any means, but cleaner than it was given to us. Yet, it's noted as passable on the original inventory, while our cleaner oven is marked as required cleaning on the check out report. They want to charge us for a full professional clean of the house, to bring it up to a better standard than it was given to us in, which is illegal. The landlord also wants to charge a full redecoration fee to fill in holes and clean the carpets because of stains. The same holes and stains that are documented in the original inventory. One of the repairs we reported and tried to discuss upon moving in was a cracked bath. Admittedly, it was a small crack back then. But through use, the crack has slightly worsened - no surprise with a family of 4. In law, we are not liable for any costs if the repair has been reported and ignored. The crack was made by the previous tenant, so it's illegal to charge us for it. Common sense tells you that a cracked bath will get worse through use. The original inventory didn't correctly represent the entire condition of the house, so we took our own pictures the day we moved in and shared them with Your Move - as we wanted to be transparent from the get-go. We never got a response. The landlord likely never got that email or our follow-ups (which went on for many months). Hopefully, the landlord will be able to see our evidence on the dispute, so they can see how Your Move failed to do their job. Likely, they are in breach of contract with the landlord. I wouldn't touch Your Move again, whether it be as a tenant, buyer, seller, or landlord. We recently bought a home and we avoided all Your Move properties because of our experience with them. We have lost all faith in the company as our experience has been awful. *EDIT - Due to the reply below* Your office has received many concerns raised by us throughout our entire tenancy, regarding the severe lack of communication. As I said, I have many, many emails that haven't been responded to, starting from July 2023. I also have many unreturned calls that we were promised a callback on - again, these began in July 2023. I have raised complaints, to which I was told on the phone, "I'm new" when I asked why my several emails haven't been replied to over many months. I mentioned on the phone yesterday that we never get callbacks, to which she laughed.

Fantastic experience: I can highly recommend Your Move in Maidstone. I was very impressed with the professionalism and friendliness of their initial valuation and getting the house onto the market. Viewings were easily arranged and feedback was promptly received. Getting to exchange was a bit drawn out (no fault of Your Move), but I was kept regularly informed of progress, the issues and the considerable amount of chasing other parties. The communication to me, when delays are outside of my immediate control, really helped. Fantastic experience: Our first experience of making the first steps to sell our first home- Initially we had only a rough idea of what to expect-An estate agent will visit our home and let us know what they think it is worth to sell. Ryan not only exceeded these expectations, but left me astounded with his vast amount of knowledge and passion for his role.
