Negative experience: Narcissistic team only interested in money not landlords. Take money and then are victims. Avoid at all costs. The complaints team offer hurdles and smokescreen complaints. So ante ombudsman and offer victims responses on blame. Go to wards or others.

Jo Walker is my property manager I find her to be totally on the ball dealing with the fine balance of tenant and owner needs. She ensures that trades do a proper job for me and will obtain rebates if the work is not done correctly, which she has done for me recently. Between Jo and Mark Fitzgerald they make sure I am kept up to speed and fully understand my rights and legal/new legislation. Thank guys for the last 12 years.

Fantastic experience: Emily and Louise made the whole process simple and seamless from start to finish. Within 7 days I had moved into my new rented flat, and no question was too much, either face to face or by email.

Negative experience: Horrendous experience with Connells. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS. Regrettably, we went with them for the sale of our flat and were not made aware of their ridiculous 28 week length contract (standard is usually 12 weeks). The photos were dreadful, we had no offers and their only solution was to keep dropping the price. After a few weeks I sent an email to confirm we were coming off the market for a bit. A few months later we went on with another agent and a viewer went on to purchase the property. Over a year later we were contacted by a debt collector saying we owed Connells money - this is when we found out about the 28 week contract, and we were forced to pay them commission ASWELL as the agent the actually sold our flat. Absolute scam artists. Edit: I was obviously a customer (what an obscure thing it would be to lie about?) but my Google name isn’t my surname. I have contacted their compliance department.

Fantastic experience: As a landlord not based in the UK, I felt the management of my property and recent re-letting was quite a challenge. Luckily I was in the UK at the time, but this was summer when some of the Connell teams are away. My tenants wanted to leave early, Connells told me that the early departure would not incur any extra costs for me, and that the outgoing tenants still had to pay up until the end of their contract. Then Connells told me differently due to an error on their part of not having both tenants sign the original tenancy agreement, so they couldn't hold the outgoing tenants to fulfilling payments of their agreement. A complete mess really....could have been managed much better. Karen Duncan

Negative experience: I wish I could give -1 stars. Our property was rented by Connells from 2019/2020. We always had a problem with the renting agent. She was always rude on phone and on some emails aswell. When we called her about issues, she acted like we were begging money from her. 12% commission with such rude service. After accepting the offer, we sold our property 10 months later. We filled TA6/TA10 1st time on the 18/04/2024 and then after many, many times. When we filled those forms, the solicitor and Connells asked us to ammend it. After we amended it and sent it by email they asked us to resend it again. If you guys can't read legal documents, why are you asking me to fill the TA6/TA10 over and over again? I tried to contact both sales agents every week. Both said they didn't know where the progress is. I think the state agent's responsibility is to not only put the property on market but to also provide help, proper information, and communication where required. If you can't help us with anything, why should Connells charge us £4000? We lost £14k because of your negligence, including the mortgage + council tax +bill. I dont think you guys deserve 0 stars.

Negative experience: We recently rented a property that was advertised as partly furnished. On both the website and after enquiring they confirmed that would include only the white goods. However after moving in we found multiple piece of furniture that were not communicated and now they are asking us to pay for storage in case we don't want them in the house! If you are dealing with them make sure you go through every little detail before you make any decision - overall very poor experience..
