Negative experience: Customer service was poor .Lady agent was in rush and looks like she is not interested in renting the house. Not even given a chance to talk about holding deposit and because of that we lost one of the property.

Positive experience: I recently sold my house with the help and expertise of Morris Dibben and it was a really pleasant and straight-forward experience. ALL the staff were wonderful, as was the level of skill, care and (importantly) attention to detail. Great communication as well. I only have one negative thing to say. I was persuaded to use the in-house solicitors and although I have no complaints about the service I received, I found it to be considerably more expensive (lots of add-ons) than other legal firms I have used.

Negative experience: Avoid. If you wish to purchase, the agency is at the service of the seller, never the buyer. All financial shenanigans are permitted to satisfy the seller. They rent out flats with photos that are 10 years old! The rentals are in terrible condition, with high rents and minimal maintenance. The deposit is often reduced, allowing the landlord to make an additional profit. Update: Sadly, I was a customer.

Negative experience: Very slow and unprofessional. When house viewings are booked, they often cancel on the day for all sorts of random reasons. Renting with them is not a pleasant experience. Staffs often show up and sometimes go into rooms unannounced even if you have a do not disturb sign on for work or other reasons. I've once caught this on camera when the letting agent just barged in. Repairs are at a snails pace. It also seems like they use the cheapest budget contractors possible because the contractors will also be slow to respond, not show up on the agreed time etc.

Fantastic experience: The progression support from Morris Dibben was invaluable. Selling and buying can be a fraught process and one is frequently left in the dark as to what is happening. Narinder was regularly chasing up solicitors within the chain and endeavouring to ascertain information that we were unable to. She was conscientious and empathetic and provided considerable support during a challenging time. The fact that we got over the line was in no small part due to her efforts for which we are extremely grateful. Fantastic experience: We recently purchased our new property from Morris Dibben in London Road and have been extremely happy with the experience. I initially spoke to Samantha when I rang the office and she was very helpful. Our viewings were with Daryl who then also dealt with our offer and the sale negotiations, and he could not have been more helpful. He was also extremely knowledgeable about the property, which is often not the case. He has willingly attended extra viewings to allow me to meet with my architect and builder at the property which has meant I can move forward with plans, in readiness for completion. Russell who is the Manager, has also been very helpful during the after sales process, ensuring the solicitors communicated quickly, enabling a quick sale to exchange process. Fantastic experience: I sold two properties through Morris Dibben and was very happy with the service throughout. I worked closely with Daryl Stanford who was excellent and worked really hard to close each sale. He gave me clear advice about the housing market and personally looked after the sale rather than being passed from one person to the next which I know some Estate Agents can do. I think the friendly, 1:1 approach is a winner for me and made the whole experience so much better than it could have been. Selling a house is stressful at the best of times and knowing Daryl, and Russell and the MD team were working hard to complete each sale made it a much smoother process. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: Stay away from Morris Dibben London Road branch, or best from all their branches. Extremely disappointing experience I had a very frustrating experience with their mortgage advisor. From the start, I felt like my needs and preferences were completely ignored. I clearly explained what I was looking for and what type of mortgage I needed, but they seemed more interested in pushing their own agenda than actually helping me. Communication was poor — messages went unanswered for days, and when I did get a response, it often didn’t address my questions. Despite paying for professional advice, I ended up having to do most of the research myself, and the end result wasn’t at all what I requested or expected. At the end I ended up appointing another mortgage advisor, who did exactly what I wanted! Overall, I felt like I wasted both my time and money. I wouldn’t recommend this service to anyone who wants a mortgage advisor that actually listens and works in your best interest. P.S getting any money back for the awful service is impossible.

Negative experience: I am a first time buyer. The ladies who showed me my now flat were nice and helpful. But the sales progresser Narinder Rai in the Southampton office was not at all progressing my sale after the first 3 months. Not clear communication, sometimes with a tone of uninterest. I and my mortgage broker kept chasing the progress, so it felt we were doing the job not her. Also in some cases she didn't respond until I cced the branch manager into the communication. An empty property took 9 months to complete so not sure how can she be titled a sales progresser...

Fantastic experience: I have recently rented through Morris & Dibbens. I have been living in a terrible situation in my previous flat, and they showed a lot of care about my situation and wanted the best for me for my new flat. There were a few ‘difficulties’ from my side, but they ensured everything went through quickly and efficiently for me so I didn’t have to ‘sit’ on it over the weekend. I actually have trust in this company. Treated like a person, and not another tenant. Moving was so easy, all documents online, emails replied to quickly. They also organised a parking space (upon payment) very quickly as they are currently limited. I just want to say thank you to the whole team from who organised my viewing (Liam), Amelia (who showed us the property) Anais who was so helpful and professional with information during the process and Megan who finished off the whole process for me. They also always answer the phone if you need to call them. Would definitely recommend them. They are a busy company, but don’t show it. Thank you again.

Negative experience: I had my home valued for a divorce settlement on January 16th 2025 by the Valuations Department Manager in the Southampton branch. He promised to email me a written valuation in the next few days as he knew I was waiting for it to submit my paperwork to the court. After 10 days I called the office and chased the valuation. A young lady in the office promised to get him to send it. A few more days later I chased again and was again promised the valuation. After more time passed I rang and asked to speak to a lady who was at that point listed on their website as the branch manager. This was who their website told me to contact if I was not satisfied with their service. She seemed to be back pedalling about being branch manager and I see she is now not listed as that. However she somewhat reluctantly promised to get the Valuations Department Manager to send the valuation and to get whoever was head of sales to call me. Unsurprisingly neither happened. It is now 1 month and 8 days since the valuation visit. I don't think that is acceptable. If you choose to use them don't say I didn't warn you! Out of interest the other three agents in Southampton I asked had them to me within 4 days. I have now complained through their parent company Countrywide and await their response.

Fantastic experience: I bought a property from Morris dibben. No words can express our gratitude to narinder, in getting us through to the final completion. Selling and buying a house when you live over four hours away is extremely stressful in itself. The added pressure of things going wrong within the chain was made less stressful with narinders input and help. Narinder went above and beyond to get us to exchange and completion, keeping us updated every step of the way. She did more for us than our estate agent did. Negative experience: Unfortunately very disappointed with MD. Ultimately a bad start and end to our tenancy experience with them acting as some sort of woeful middle man between us and our landlord. Maintenance calls took 4+ weeks to get calls back on, when called in an emergency. Unreasonably and unrequested extension of our tenancy due to their lack of ability to process administrative tasks in a timely fashion, and therefore putting us into arreas of £230+ for 3 days extension... and obviously thats fine because our deposit can then be held against it. Flat initially handed over in a disgusting state, pushing our move in date back by 3 days... and obviously left the flat in an absolutely immaculate state to be slapped with yet another unreasonably cleaning charge. Don't really know what else to add, other than AVOID, if you can. Poor form MD, very poor indeed.

Negative experience: 13/10/2024 I am not sure what has happened to MD, but it seems selling a house via this agent is frustrating, there simply isn’t any pro activeness, it’s all reactive and lack communication. You have to chase them to find out what’s going on and how far the sale has progressed. And when you chase they react by saying let me look into that and come back, they should be on top of each sell, not let me find out which them seem to take days Clearly standard have dropped. Years ago they would actively sort things out. Background- Currently selling my house via this agent, they found a buyer within 4 weeks ie in July this year, however, so far lost about another 4 weeks just waiting on information for buyers solicitors from this agent. I was told they had id check delays, then told just an admin issue not a buyer issue. Memos have been requested. and then told It is our extra id checks that takes a little while with credas. etc. All this took 4 plus weeks. mean time we waited for buyers solicitors, and finally they came back and said they had not been instructed by this buyer. When Agent tried contact then no answer, the agent could not get hold of this buyer, so started the whole process again. Was advise best to put the house back on the market. luckily we found a second buyer mid Aug, however, its now been 8 weeks, and the progression of the sale is at best slow, I have to keep chasing the agent to find out what is going on, and that itself losses days and they do not seem on top of what is going on, "let me find out" seem to be the phase they use. Surly its in their interest to be on top of each sale and move it forward.

Negative experience: Not good - myself and a friend moved into a flat in Talbot Close recently having been told we needed to move in by end of June (earlier than we wanted), only to find multiple significant issues that had not been resolved. 2 large dehumidifiers had been drying out the walls since before we went to view the place over a month earlier; these were drying out a leak from upstairs. We had been told this work would be completed by move in, but despite this and an earlier move in date than we wanted, the place was not habitable by that point due to the excessive heat and noise being produced by dehumidifiers 24 hours a day, for up to almost 3 weeks after the move in date. The walls had not been cleaned up, there were broken bits of furniture, including a bed that lost a leg after sitting on it once (I’m only 55kg), and some disturbing items left around the house (including lots of someone’s underwear stuffed into a box). The permit had been lost and not replaced, and no one could tell us how we could access the garage clearly marked with our flat number. It was clear the house was absolutely not ready by the move in date. However, we had been pushed into signing a check list to say all was in order and that we received all the move in items and would pay the money, despite expressing reluctance as we had not yet seen an inventory of the place or had the opportunity to even check it. We raised the multiple issues in an email and requested a rent reduction for July due to the uninhabitability of the place, especially as we are doctors who work shifts, and have not yet had a response a week later. We are extremely unhappy with how the whole process has been conducted and the lack of respect shown towards us as tenants. I would not use this letting agency again.

Positive experience: Narinder was excellent at keeping me up to date throughout the sale and I cannot praise her enough for her support in moving things forward. I felt communication within the branch was very difficult with everyone doing different roles and no continuity for the client. Negative experience: Lack professionalism. Very poor experience all round. I arranged a viewing and no one showed up, I telephoned and was told wrong day (my fault?). I then visited the branch to try and establish contact with someone; made genuine enquiries on two homes for sale and was told I would hear back. 10 Days later I chased it up and the attitude from the adviser and the branch manager was poor. No apology and tried to tell me they are one of the best; when my experience both now, in 2022 and 2021 was very poor. What an unfortunate set of events.

Fantastic experience: I've used Morris Dibben over many years for renting and selling property. A recent property I sold was very challenging due to both buying and selling solicitors being truly awful. Negative experience: I rented a house from this agency based on their online reviews, but I soon regretted it. They deceived me with false promises and delivered a filthy and uninhabitable property. I wish I could give them a negative rating. They made me sign a rental agreement that said the house was furnished, clean, and had all the appliances working. But when I moved in, I found the opposite. The house was full of mould, the hot water and heating were not working, the kitchen sink was clogged, the bathroom seat was broken, the flush was not working, and the TV, microwave, and blinds were damaged. (See the pictures). I contacted Anais Collier, who was in charge of letting the property, but she did not help me at all. She told me to deal with the maintenance team. I met the branch manager Samantha and complained about the condition of the house, but she denied their misguidance and even claimed that they were not plumbers or electricians and they will not know about these issues unless I reported them. She said they were not responsible for checking things like hot water or sink drainage. She acted as if they could not see the mould that was everywhere. They expected me to live in this horrible place while they fix the issues, which they did not do in more than a month time. The only thing they fixed was the kitchen sink, which took them 17 days. I escalated the issue to their customer care team and asked to break the contract. They took three weeks of time to investigate the issue but to repeat the same words which branch manager had said earlier. They said their maintenance team would look into the issue, which would take ages. They made me to suffer in the property without heating provided and with mould spreading every corner which is a health hazard. And still, they are not considering fixing toilet seat and flush as a priority thing. This agency is a scam and a nightmare. Beware of them. PS: Pictures only representing the mould problem, but not the missing basic amenities like heating, hot water, kitchen sink, toilet issues.

Negative experience: Poor customer service with no regard to the sellers house. I enquired about a property that has Morris Dibben sign in the front garden and straight away said "oh that's a complicated one" and repeated that a further 5 times through the call. Then proceeded to push me in the direction of another house which was out of the area I was wanting to relocate to and is way out of my budget, after we'd just talked about this information. Clearly not that bothered about selling this property for their client. I emailed with a few questions shortly after the call as there was no listing for this property on rightmove/onthemarket and nothing on their own website. 2.5 weeks later, with another email chasing them, I've had no response.

Negative experience: Not great.. they make lots of mistakes, repeatedly had to correct contracts, they put a non student in with 5 students telling him he's going to share council tax with the rest of the tenants when in fact he's the only one liable. Then they are not at all helpful in fixing the problem they created.

Fantastic experience: Morris Dibben provided an excellent service from the first property evaluation through to completion. Chelsea was one of 3 agents that pitched for my business, and I chose Moriss Dibben because of the honest and professional evaluation of my property, together with a competitive fixed price quotation. Within days my flat was on Rightmove and within a few more days I had an over asking price offer from a chain free buyer....what more could you ask for?? The process sadly became complicated and completion was deferred several times, not because of any issues with the flat, but rather incompetent lawyers representing all parties. ...and the only reason the deal completed at all was the thorough determination and contant communication offered by Narinder at Morris Dibben who ensured every aspect was followed up with endless calls, emails , text messages to all parties. .....always with the upmost patience and politeness. Fantastic experience: My experience with Morris Dibben was a bit of a rollercoaster. Not the best to start with as the previous manager was extremely rude and after only a week of listing our property was pushing us to lower the asking price by tens of thousands! Our stress levels were through the roof. Fortunately we managed to stand our ground and stuck with Morris Dibben as we had an onward purchase with them and really loved the house. Narinder Rai was the star and managed to make everything happen smoothly after the sale was agreed. We are deeply grateful for all her efforts in making sure all parties communicated effectively and that the chain (4 houses) managed to complete in a very uncertain market. The 5 stars are for Narinder, I think the sales team need to reflect on their strategies and ethics on getting new listings and also on customer service. Thank you Narinder you were amazing!

Negative experience: Be very careful if you have to buy your property through this branch. They pushed me into organising a mortgage agreement in principle before I was ready because they claimed I had to have one before I made my offer. That is not true and the mortgage adviser confirmed that. They also claimed the seller had been buying and selling with them for years and was very experienced. That turned out not to be true as they didn't understand how selling a flat works or how buying with mortgage works either. I was threatened by the seller (through the intermediary) several times, claiming they would pull the sale as it was taking too long. They promised that work to fix damage had been completed but it hadn't. I also viewed the flat a final time before exchanging contracts and found the balcony doors unlocked and open. The estate agent showing me round said that maybe one of their colleagues left it open. They had no idea how long it might have been open, leaving the flat unprotected from weather and intruders. Morris Dibben recommended their Conveyancers who they have a working relationship with - Convey Law. Convey Law have been a nightmare to work with. They have charged me for unauthorised work and they are still withholding money due to me - over £2800. Finally when I picked up my keys once the purchase was complete, Morris Dibben did not check my ID and just thrust the keys into my hand. That was it!

Negative experience: If you plane to rent from them, you may want to think again. Looked at a flat and pointed out a number of faults prior to taking occupation. Only item attended to was changing a light bulb. Seems all promises until they have your deposit, after that its all empty promises. They dont answer emails or take your call. Very unprofessional!

Fantastic experience: We sold our property through the agency and we had very positive experience throughout the whole process. Communication in particular was exceptional, from the moment we decided to list until we handed over the keys. I liked the viewing confirmation emails but they didn't have the option to confirm or propose different time online. We always had to call if any changes were required, which was not always possible to be done on time. The viewings were all done promptly and in a professional manner. Fantastic experience: Morris DibbenA few months ago I put my house in Southampton (let to tenants at the time) up for sale. The staff at Morris Dibben were all excellent and all aspects of finding a buyer were done very well - from the valuation, marketing, arranging and organising viewings while minimising disruption to the tenants, liaising with potential buyers etc. Communication and advice were excellent from start to finish. However, I must single out Narinder Rai for particular praise and my deepest gratitude. Once the sale was agreed Narinder did a spectacular job of liaising between me, my solicitors, the buyers and their solicitors. My solicitors were very un-communicative (I only managed to speak to my solicitor once!) and extremely difficult to deal with but Narinder chased them frequently and effectively and the process was actually completed quite quickly (8 or 9 weeks). Narinder was extremely proactive and a huge support from start to finish - she was on top of all aspects of the conveyancing process and kept me informed of all developments with frequent emails and phone calls. Without Narinder's hard work and support I would have found the process almost unbearable. I have quite a lot of experience in buying and selling houses but I have never experienced such marvellous service from any estate agent in the past. Narinder is a real treasure!

Fantastic experience: We would like to thank the Morris Dibben Bittern team for supporting us with the purchasing of and selling of our property. If we could give a score of 10 we would as from our initial contact with Billy who was warm and friendly and did not push to get us onto their books. He explained the process as well as LISTENED to what we wanted as well as what we would like to see happen. We then met Dominic who valued our property as well as showed us around our dream home which they managed to find us, he was very likeable.. Molly held our open day and was very accommodating in us having our many visits to view our now home. Molly always had a welcoming smile and nothing ever seemed too much.
