Fantastic experience: Joseph has been a fantastic letting agent to work with. He’s friendly, approachable, and genuinely takes an individual, personal approach rather than treating you like just another client.

Negative experience: I would like to share my experience with Leaders estate agents (Southamotn Brancj) regarding the sale of my property has been extremely disappointing. From the beginning, communication was poor and updates were inconsistent. I repeatedly had to chase the sales team for basic information about marketing activity and progress. The level of engagement I expected from a professional sales agency simply was not there. What concerned me most was the way responsibility was shifted onto the tenants. I was told that viewings could not proceed because the tenants were refusing access. However, after speaking directly with the tenants myself, they confirmed that they had not refused or declined any viewing requests. Blaming tenants without evidence raises serious questions about transparency and professionalism. There was also a major oversight where the property was not reinstated on Rightmove when it should have been, which delayed the marketing process further. This was later acknowledged as an internal mistake. As a landlord and client, you expect clear communication, accurate information and proactive marketing. Unfortunately that was not my experience. I have now escalated the matter to the Property Ombudsman for independent review. If you are considering selling your property, I would strongly advise doing careful research before instructing an agent. Based on my experience, I would not recommend using Leaders for property sales.

Fantastic experience: We went to look at a property that leaders had on there website, we met Josh at the viewing, Our estate agents we had were useless and Josh gave us some advice on moving forward, we decided to wait for our contract to finish with our agents and decided to go with 2 agents, 1 being leaders, there photographer was outstanding, the photos looked so different to all the others, we agreed as it was xmas week our property wouldn't go live till the 1st of jan, we were on for about 4 weeks and 2 viewings came up on the same day 1 from each agent, great for us, the first viewing was with leaders, there client wanted a second viewing and we had an offer, i am so pleased plus we have just found our new home so I can't thank Josh and his team from leaders for all the support and communication we had with them, i would recommend to anyone

Positive experience: Very pleased we came across Leaders. Had our house on the market for several months with a different agent without selling. Josh and Manisha had a different approach to selling which made sense to me, and sure enough it worked. They found a buyer for us in only a few weeks. Have to knock a star off the rating as although the sale was the most important aspect there were a number of minor issues, including repeated communication problems with when viewings were happening etc. The other agents were very on top of this with an app backed up by automated text messages as well as phone calls. The Leaders communications about viewings was largely email based and often the email didn't come through. The other issue we had was high pressure selling to use their partner firm Lifetime Legal, who have got a terrible reputation on Trust Pilot.

Negative experience: Awful service, communication and professionalism!!! I’ve received lots of calls from 4 different people within Leaders and associated Romans Winchester. Appalling!!! 1st agent Jas belittling re the housing process, querying whether I knew I had to sell my house in order to buy one?!! And pushing me to get the house valued with them and on the market. 2nd member of staff called to book me in for this coming Friday and apologised for their rude colleague prior to them. I then randomly get a call from a man in Romans Winchester without introducing who they are asking me who previously valued my house and whether I want them to do it- no I’d never heard of them!!! 4th member of staff Darrell called stating that there is no availability on the date that I had been booked in for just 30 minutes prior! And rudely stated that he had tried to call me numerous times and that I had not called him back - which is not true. Also please do recognise that I work full time, we did not have an appointment booked and again undue pressure! What a joke. An inept company. I do not want any contact with either branch!

Positive experience: I have been renting with Leaders for a year as a first time renter and have had a positive experience. Sophie, my property manager, has been very supportive and responsive, always addressing my queries promptly. I would happily recommend Leaders.

Negative experience: Unresolved refund despite reassurances It’s been six months with no action on my refund, despite repeated assurances. The ongoing lack of accountability is both frustrating and unprofessional.

Fantastic experience: We have recently bought our first home through Leaders and we cannot praise Nikki at Leaders enough for all her amazing advice and quick responses. When things got slow with the sale Nikki made sure to chase it up with our solicitors and our sellers solicitors promptly and always kept us in the loop which eased the moving process stress. Positive experience: I have been renting out my flats For six years, with Leaders, they are very easy to work with I have been dealing mainly with Ben the manager who has now unfortunately left. Abi has been great to work with. Never had any problems as she always gets things done. A pleasure to work with. She will be missed as is Ben the manager, The accounts department still has a little bit of work to do to get there hopefully they will, Ben and Abi definitely five stars, accounts let’s wait and see,,hence the four star review.

Fantastic experience: Daryl at Leaders was great. As first time sellers, he walked us through the process and made himself available to answer any questions or uncertainties we had. I’d certainly recommend Daryl and his team moving forwards.

Positive experience: I didn’t have the best experience with Leaders as a first time buyer. There was a lot of frustration on both sides for very valid reasons (and I really did feel for the sellers as I know there were problems on my side), but I felt pressured to overlook issues that were flagged by my solicitor. At one point, my solicitor advised that we needed a deed of variation to change the incorrect lease plans, as this issue would only arise again when I came to sell, and an estate agent told me that they believed it was “not needed”. I was also phoned multiple times around 4/5pm on a Friday by Leaders with ultimatums from the seller and deadline dates for the coming Monday, leaving me with no way of trying to meet these ultimatums over the weekend given that the solicitor firm was closed on weekends. I therefore had countless stressful weekends where I was unable to do anything to help the situation. On the day of completion, I headed to pick up the keys, thinking we could finally put the months of frustration behind us, and was met with a rather dismissive handover and not even a “congratulations” from the estate agent. I’m sure they were glad to not have to deal with my case anymore, but it felt rather unprofessional to be so dismissive in what was a very big achievement for me. I’m sure as a seller, Leaders are great, but as a first time buyer I did not feel particularly supported. I give 3 stars rather than lower because they were very quick with their responses and were always available when needed which was very appreciated.

Positive experience: We were with leaders for 2 years and had a great property manager called Katie. She was very responsive and was always very kind on the phone.

Positive experience: I was seeking a property for my mother in law and requested a call back from an agent regarding a property I saw on right move. The lovely Laura Eddison from the Southampton branch called me. I explained my mother in law is relocating to be closer to us and what her needs and requirements are. Laura listend then asked some very necessary question. We had a very lengthy conversation, Laura didn't hesitate in answering any queries I had. We arranged a viewing on a property. Unfortunately for Laura I ended up cancelling the viewing as my mother in law had an offer accepted on another property, I did inform Laura by message as I was not in the position to make a phone call, later on that day Laura called me, I explained why we had to cancel the viewing but Laura did nothing but congratulate us and wish us well. Laura is very professional, polite and bubbly. Thank you Laura, I wish you every success you are an asset for Leaders. Only 4 stars as I didn't purchase but I would definitely come back to you Laura if the situation arises.

Fantastic experience: Emily and Harvey from sales were absolutely brilliant in there way of dealing with us. The first flat we were meant to move in was not available as the tenant was refusing to move out and Emily sent us some options straight away and was really responsive on every emails we were sending she found us an amazing alternative and Harvey helped us to have it ready on time and made sure the checks were done on time. Such a great way to diffuse such a stressful situation.

Fantastic experience: We have had great communication for the beginning of our tenancy and getting works done at the property. Fantastic experience: Tia Jupe has been the highlight of out experience at Leaders - the initial experience was a tad rocky with moving into a new build and there were multiple hiccups, however Tia has been helpful, kind, super considerate and incredibly good at communicating between different parties. Fantastic experience: I've rented through this branch for 4 yrs, under the No Deposit Scheme (NDS). I would advise against the NDS if you're planning to stay longer than 2 yrs, as this is fee and you'll be liable for up to 5 weeks rent and the end of your tenancy. Ben Pickford & Ashley Ellis have been fantastic throughout our stay. They've been organising and resolving any issues we had. Luckily for us the Landlord is very proactive in getting out the correct trades people to fix our issues. Towards the end of our tenancy. We worked together to reset the flat ready for the future incumbent. The photo I've submitted as evidence, is a fact that we were lucky to have such great support throughout our stay. A glaring contrast of opposites, in a world of dodgy agents and landlords.

She smoothly managed all the communications between the landlords and me as the tenant to get through. It was a pleased experience to have their services.

Negative experience: I wonder if the property ombudsman knows that leaders are forcing people to take contents insurance through their provider? It is a requirement if you want to take a rental property through them. If you don't take it then you can't proceed with the property. This sort of practice isn't allowed. You cant force someone to take contents insurance. You have been reported to the property ombudsman Leaders. Poor practice. Update: why don't you discuss your illegal practice of forcing people renting to purchase contents insurance through your partner Bode so you receive commission? Reported

She is lovely and very efficient.

Negative experience: Unfortunately I must say these were some of the most unhelpful Estate agents we interacted with whilst trying to find a flat in Southampton. We ended up going with Morris Dibben in the end and would recommend you do the same and don't bother trying these guys. Twice we had viewings booked and both times were cancelled (despite being incredibly difficult to get a viewing in the first place) due to 'lack of staff'. They were cancelled on the day off, both times it was about 1.5hrs before our viewing was supposed to take place, which was no good because we lived 2hrs away and would have driven down in order to do the viewing, so effectively (if we didn't have viewings with other agents booked, thank god we did and they didn't fall through on us) we would have been making a 4 hour trip for absolutly nothing. They also don't offer an alternative time if they cancel your viewing, it's just cancelled. I also find this particularly insulting when two other letting agencies were under staffed for our viewings but didn't cancel and instead had colleagues from other parts of the business fill in for people so we would still get to do our viewings!!! Yeh, wouldn't recommend these guys, they make you feel like they have no time for you which is unfortunate.

Fantastic experience: I recently moved to a new flat managed by Leaders in Southampton. All the Leaders staff I have dealt with so far are very professional and helpful. They addressed all my concerns and worked promptly to help. Special commendation to Abigail, my property manager, for her fast, keen, and effective replies and help, ensuring I feel settled since the first day I moved in!

Fantastic experience: Sophie Stevens has been more than helpful. I had a few issues (nothing super urgent) and due to a lack of communication through the rental side, Sophie stepped up and literally did the best she could as property manager. As a renter in the UK I worry so much about how we can be treated because we don’t own the home and therefore have ‘no power’, but she has really made me feel at ease. She always answers emails and phone calls. I would definitely be happy if she was my property manager for the next property. Everything that needed rectifying has been done. Thanks so much!

Negative experience: If you like lazy landlords who don't fix things for 2 years and act surprised when things get surprised when things deteriorate and then come for money, Incompetent workers who can't be bothered to do their jobs and misreport things and are an all-round greedy company then Leaders are right for you. Absolute god awful company, no wonder why last 4 out of 5 reviews on trust pilot are all 1 star and all speak honestly about the company and all met with the same copy and paste responses. Wouldn't ever go with them again and would never recommend them to anyone and will actively deter people from them and suggest more support companies based on personal experience or reviews going forward. Avoid at all costs and make sure you go with someone who's more reputable. Their workers probably don't care about the 1 star review, they don't care when you report issues as they never respond to them within adequate time frames or might not even respond at all and when you call all you get is "they're not in the office at the moment", "they're not in today" and "we will pass that on to them and make sure they contact you within this certain time frame", never heard so many untruths be told. In conclusion , I'm sure to never go with them and I'd recommend you look elsewhere as they're not worth the hassle even some of our neighbours in the time we were there that have come and gone would concur to that statement.

Staffs are very professional and approachable, especially my property manager Adriana Darczuk. all the processes for moving in were smooth and responses for various in house maintenance were efficient. Highly recommended for anyone seeking reliable agency. It’s been 1.5 years and still looking forward to extend the tenancy with them..

I would like to name one individual who we had the pleasure of dealing with. William from lettings has supported my son in securing his first tenancy. He helped us along the way and was available on the phone or via email with immediate or swift responses. He is a genuinely lovely young man with a genuine lovely personality. Negative experience: I was alerted by my camera while away that a person has trespassed her way illegally and without prior notice to the inside of my flat. Upon seeing that, I asked her to leave immediately using the camera speakers and threatened to call the police if she does not comply. The agency "Leaders", from which I had rented the flat later confirmed upon my request that the person is an employee of theirs but failed to provide any proof of prior notice to me. There has been no emergency of any kind that justified the trespassing of their employee and the reason of that incident remains unclear to me. Due to that unlawful act, I was in constant fear that someone might trespass again and breach my privacy at my own home. This led to me to moving out of the property at an added cost and effort. I fear that this agency has been breaking the law in that manner for for a long time and that they feel that are immune from adhering to the law due to the lack of complaints. I do not recommend dealing with this agency if you value your privacy and safe of mind at home.

Fantastic experience: I'm renting a flat through Leaders, and they are great. Each time I report a problem, they try to get it fixed/sort it out nearly immediately with a good standard. There is one of their property manager Ms S. Stevens who goes the extra miles each time to help me and chase things up as soon as I email her. I would highly recommend her and leaders to anyone who is looking for a property to rent.

Fantastic experience: I have rented a property under Leaders and I can say they are very accommodating, responsive and helpful with the process in renting a property. I have multiple requests but they were able to accommodate and help me with those. I was in contact particularly with Ash and he is very responsive and attentive to my needs. Fantastic experience: Have rented before with other estate agents and I can honestly say that leaders are the most helpful, polite and quick to communicate with you. Joseph especially for me was right on hand to help with the process. He had excellent Knowledge on the properties we viewed and could answer any questions we had which really helped to make us feel comfortable with him right away. Even once we had selected which property to proceed with, his quick responses to our emails helped us to make and offer and get references done in 2 days! Could not ask for a better person to help in finding a new home.

Negative experience: We signed a contract on a house that wasn't habitable because there was no hot water because the boiler was broken. Had we known we wouldn't have signed up to rent this house. Throughout the whole boiler replacement process, which took them 4 months to complete, we were not visited once and had to endure rude emails from Adriana. The whole thing has made me ill from the stress of the situation and not once did we get an apology. We have made a complaint and they won't even admit they were in contravention of the housing act! They use tenants as cash cows while offering houses for rent that quite frankly need knocking down. The boiler was so old that none of the plumbers could ever remember seeing a 90kg boiler installed on a wall before. They use their own household maintenance company so everything is in house and they bodge repairs then won't admit to it! Dear prospective tenant, rent through these guys carefully!!!
