Negative experience: Have been calling since last week to get a call back from the manager despite sending emails they couldn’t bother to contact me. We put our property up for sale with them but due to lack of expertise they couldn’t sell. Very ignorant service at Mann north end Portsmouth don’t waste your time by contacting them would give 0 star if I could.

Fantastic experience: Having completed the sale of my late mother’s house last week, I’ve been very pleased with Mann&Co at North End, and very much appreciate the communication from Jamie Ridge, the manager. After several ‘probate issues’ we lost two potential purchasers, but I was very impressed at how quickly Mann got prospective buyers through the door again, very quickly , and on each occasion obtained an offer within a matter of days! Would recommend them for any future sales.

Negative experience: Mann Countrywide Portsmouth as an Estate Agent is most likely one of the worst Estate Agents I've had the displeasure of working with in my 8 years of renting. We fell in love with a property on Purbrook road, Fratton and we immediately jumped into the paperwork to rent. Our first issue arose when we submitted our details to a company called KeySafe which I cannot in good conscience recommend. They are extremely invasive with their checks and are a pain to work with even more so when you are having to call Estate Agents every 2-3 days for updates with no direct updates from Keysafe themselves. We were set to pick up the keys on the 18th October which was arranged 3 weeks beforehand. When the 18th came around we were not able to collect the keys and was not even given so much as an apology for missing this deadline and absolutely 0 accountability aside from the usual "we're so sorry about this" which absolutely did not sound genuine in the slightest. On the 20th October myself and my partner had enough and decided to make a complaint about the misconduct and lack of professionalism with our tenancy. The manager Jay said this was a "miscommunication" however these "miscommunications" happened on multiple occasions resulting in lack of communication and organisation. I then conveniently recieve a call on Thursday 23rd October, 6 days after the initial day we were supposed to pick up the keys, telling us they cannot go ahead with the tenancy because "insurance checks failed" after pressing for more answers I was told two different answers. They didn't know and that they couldn't tell me due to GDPR. Two very conflicting statements. I have told them to email me with follow ups and more details as I will be making complaints. Even though we are getting our money back a month of our lives have been wasted and now we have to request to stay in our current tenancy longer because our Landlord was contacted via KeySafe. Two major points are we had a guarantor and both myself and my partner earn more than required amount needed to rent the property and have no dependencies. So there was absolutely 0 reason for being rejected and the blatant refusal and lack of information leads me to believe there are other reasons they are not disclosing. Shortly after this I sent an email to the manager and the person dealing with our case requesting a copy of all our data and they have so far ignored the email completely and are actively refusing to comply with the same GDPR that they used as an excuse. We then put in a formal complaint with head office and they did an "investigation" which they clearly did not put too much time into as they did not look into the actual issue as they sent an email saying they found no wrongdoings however if they actually looked into fully they would see that I acknowledge their terms and conditions but they have failed to comply to GDPE but not sending me my requested data and the fact that the agent did not do her job as I had to constantly call and find out what was happening with my application to find multiple things were outstanding and I was never informed. If you can avoid this company at all costs!

Fantastic experience: Jamie and Katie were amazing from start to finish. The purchase was set up professionally and quickly. Katie carried out the viewing for us and was a complete delight, not your typical estate agent type! She was kind and approachable. Jamie then began contacting us when setting up the sale, again professional and courteous. The process was managed quickly and simply and we now have the keys and all completed. We wish they could all be this smooth, Mann and co north end are a credit to the industry.

Fantastic experience: We couldn’t recommend Mann estate agents Northend enough. Especially Jamie, who has been outstanding from the start. As first time buyers, it only took 3 months from finding our first home to completion. Communication has been excellent, transparency throughout and Jamie went above and beyond at all times. No request too big or small. 100% recommend for first time buyers.

Negative experience: House was completely missold to us, en-suite rooms with no en-suite, 12 inch TV's where it said 50, and an extra tenant living at the property without our knowledge. No acknowledgment from Mann, just constant dismissal and radio silence after first months rent was paid into their account. Genuinely really dissapointed and expected more from a company with such good reviews. Will never be renting/buying with them again.

Negative experience: Absolutely the worst estate agents ever! It takes 78 calls to get through. Then you get through, explain the situation and they say I’ll get back to you and they don’t. Called this morning 26 times and no answer from sales and lettings. Avoid at all costs!

Negative experience: I called today to book a viewing for a flat. A lady takes my email address, phone number, full name etc. She tells me I will receive a viewing confirmation via text. 3 hours later still nothing. I call again and speak to Tom. He is confused as to why I have not received the text. He checks something and then reassures me I should receive the text message this time. Guess what? Still nothing. Around half an hour later I call again and speak to the same Tom. I double check with him my phone number and ask him to just send me the viewing confirmation via email. He guarantees he will send the confirmation via email and text message. 6 hours later, absolutely nothing. Steer clear of this agency

Negative experience: One of the worst estate agents I have ever encountered. I was given an appointment to view a property, but a day before, I received a message stating that it's sold. Despite that, I received another call seven days later, claiming the same property is back on the market and scheduling a second appointment. I requested an early appointment, but they couldn't accommodate due to the landlord's unavailability, forcing me to reschedule other commitments, including childcare. To my dismay, I received a call on the same day of the viewing, informing me that the property is now sold. Beware of this estate agent if you're selling your house; their professionalism is questionable.

Negative experience: If you are a landlord I advice not to waist time with them! It’s being a nightmare for me! They make you feel like you have lost your property and they are the owner, there is no decision you can take without them to authorize otherwise they start ignore you, you don’t get response to emails and calls at all!! The only person I can rely on is Joshua, professional and always ready to talk. Very disappointed about Jay, the manager.

Negative experience: 1. I have kids and in their rooms are mould growing. My kids are getting really sick from it. I tried everything to get rid of the mould but it always comes back. 2. Every time we report anything, we never get a response back. 3. No one listens to us. Please do not come here
