Negative experience: Contacted this letting agency about viewing a property and was met with unnecessary barriers I’ve not experienced elsewhere. My partner and I earn well in excess of six figures, have just sold our house, and are around four weeks from completion. We’re looking for a 12-month rental while we decide our next move. The dismissive attitude was disappointing and unprofessional. We expected better. Maybe just an off day.

Although I found my rental privately in the end, Sharon stood out at the only agent who kept in contact throughout a stressful search as I had a small search area due to school location. Negative experience: Awful experience calling this agent. They are partners with the scam Ponzi scheme modern method of auction that Is I am sold. This process completely rips of the buyer and charges needless commission on a straight forward purchase. Stella did nothing to esculate the call and help a potential buyer. Sad sad state of affairs. Customer service assistants at Sainsbury’s are more assertive in helping you than hamptons.

Fantastic experience: Last year (2022) we put my elderly mothers house on the market due to her having to go into care. This was a difficult and sad period for the family but Alec and his team dealt with us very professionally but also with consideration and understanding. He and the team helped us along but never made us feel pressurised. There were a number of unforeseen obstacles which unexpectedly came up and delayed the sale but they dealt with these without any issues. On the occasions I contacted their Winchester office they were always very polite, friendly and above all helpful. On a day-to-day basis I generally dealt with Tania and Alison both of whom were were always friendly and helpful, a pleasure to deal with. Hamptons (and in particular Alec) had been recommended to me by a close friend who sold his house through them and said he was very pleased with the service they/he provided.
