Negative experience: I rented from these guys when they were still under Austin & Wyatt. Avoid them like the plague. They changed the tenancy contract at the time of signing without telling us, they didn't clean the house before we moved in and they tried to fleece us with the deposit when it was time to move. As a student, they will try and take advantage of you so avoid them at all costs.

Negative experience: I had a truly horrific experience renting through Morris Dibben Winchester and would strongly advise others to avoid them. Following my move-out, I have been presented with what I believe to be completely unjustified charges for cleaning and alleged damages, despite leaving the property in a clean and well-maintained condition. Even more concerning, I have been accused of missing items that are in fact still in the loft. I raised this immediately, however the handling of the situation has been extremely poor. Communication has been dismissive, and there has been a clear lack of willingness to properly review the evidence or engage fairly. The whole process has felt unreasonable and deeply frustrating, particularly as a tenant who took care of the property throughout the tenancy. It has left me with very little confidence in how matters are dealt with at the end of a tenancy. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend avoiding this company.

She was there to answer every question and made the process so smooth. I had some professional issues going on during this time but she went above and beyond to ensure I could move into the property. Being new to letting in the adult world was daunting but these guys really are the best. They will guide you through every step and I cannot recommend them enough. Fantastic experience: LIFE IN COMPTON ! near Winchester 23 Attwoods Drove S021 2AX This semi-detached bungalow offers: Village life in a friendly environment with population profile from young families to older people and leisure opportunities for all. A 19th.century junior school and Norman church feature and the frequent number 1 bus service at the end of Compton Street, down the hill, makes for easy travel into both Winchester and Southampton. Delightful countryside walks are there on your doorstep! The property offers a good sized garden with an "open feel"; overlooking the village soccer field and children's playground. There is plenty of room to park 2 cars (and a caravan!) in the rear garden. A lockable brick built store has plenty of fitted shelving. Our small pet dog had plenty of room to run around in a secure front garden .. and, of course, had walks on his doorstep too! A south facing decking area where you can relax in the sunshine, leads to the front door and hall. Inside, a good sized double and single bedroom, a kitchen with washing machine and fridge freezer provided, bathroom inc. shower and a roomy front living room. There is a "cool" pantry in the kitchen and a useful shelved closet containing the gas boiler off the hallway. Additional storage space is also available in the loft. TV reception is quite good as is wifi reception (with fast fibre technology imminent). Life moves on but the 3 years my son, myself and Charlie the terrier lived at number 23 will always hold fond memories for us. Lovely neighbours, village life, functional property with fast friendly response from agents, Austin and Wyatt, for occasional repairs; highly commended! February 2021

Fantastic experience: Austin and Wyatt are by far the most professional estate agents I have worked with for student tenancy. We are in our first couple of weeks and they have been happy to help with all of our requests. Hopefully our happy relationship can continue for the rest of our tenancy. Negative experience: Most of the team I have dealt with are great. Very professional, friendly and personable. However Josh really lets the team down. I wont be going with Austin and Wyatt Winchester again purely because I cant be bothered to listen to Josh huffing and puffing, throwing his weight around and generally being rude. Every time I've had to talk to him hes been condescending.

Negative experience: Ethical landlords, steer clear! Do not go with this agent if you value your neighbours or your property! I have the gross misfortune of owning a house next door to one of the properties they manage. I came home from a day at work to find an enormous amount of garden debris from the neighbouring property strewn about under my fence from A&W's gardener having done some cutting down. It had very obviously been thrown over to my side so that he could avoid a trip to the tip. When I phoned to complain I was, incredibly, told that I was always intended to be part of the clean up operation! They fill the house with incredibly noisy, poorly behaved people and do nothing to manage their behaviour. If that doesn't convince you, observing one of their end of tenancy inspections was enlightening. Their agent was to busy controlling her child as it ran amok around the empty house and garden to notice the damage the tenants had done to exterior walls, the sagging soffits allowing for water ingress, etc, and so they remain, the landlord presumably in total ignorance.

Finding a place to rent, while relocating 300 miles, that also allows dogs can be a nightmare, especially if you’re not sure of the area - but Austin and Wyatt made the process real easy, and stress free. Josh is an absolute credit- from the second I contacted him and Ben and explained the urgency of needing to find something after being let down by an other company, they both were very quick to organise a viewing.
