Fantastic experience: I would like to provide feedback regarding Manon Belaval from John Francis Estate Agency, who kindly showed me around the property at 8 Millwood Street, Swansea, SA5 9JZ. This is the second time I have had the opportunity to meet Manon, and once again she was extremely professional, courteous, and well-prepared. She took the time to explain the property in detail, answered all my questions clearly, and demonstrated a very good understanding of the property and the local area. Her approach was both friendly and highly professional, which made the viewing very comfortable and informative. What particularly stood out was her attention to detail and patience. She ensured that I had enough time to properly look around the property and made sure that all relevant aspects were explained clearly. It is evident that she takes her role seriously and genuinely wants to assist clients in making informed decisions. Overall, the experience was very positive. I sincerely hope that the same level of professionalism, communication, and attention to detail continues throughout the rest of the process, as it certainly builds confidence and trust. Fantastic experience: I have recently viewed some properties with Manon & do have to say having viewed more properties than your average person I have come across many agents but I must say Manon outshone all of them. Negative experience: Unfortunately my experience with the letting side of this Agent was dreadful. The process started at end End of November 2025. I did stress that urgent regarding the letting. After numerous phone calls and email it is still not completed (January 26). Went with another agency - completed in a matter of days.

Negative experience: Absolutely disgraceful estate agents. Told me to travel across England to Wales for a viewing after I put an offer in on a property. Didn't tell me there were offers on the property already. I arrived to find others viewing the property too, then told me there offers already from when I out mine. They had 2 weeks to inform me there were higher offers, instead told me to view the property and travel for 4 hours. Also mislead property details. No information on advert or during phone conversations about the hoyse not having a boiler in place, got to the property to find piles of Coal and then confirmation give no boiler present. This is not my first time experiencing this with them. They set up viewings, give people false hope of offer being accepted then make a bidding war even when you explicitly told them your budget. They need trading standards placed on them. I am reporting them! They even continue advertising when an offer is accepted so there is no real contingency you won't be outbid later in the process. They only care about bonuses! Stop using them for buying or selling!
Fantastic experience: I was looking to buy a property and enquired at a number of agents in Swansea. Charles at John Francis was far more flexible and responsive than representatives from other agencies, facilitating viewings rapidly at times to suit me.

Fantastic experience: Sam & Wayne were absolutely amazing helping my partner and me move into our new property. They were quick, efficient, and very thorough throughout the whole process. Couldn’t have asked for better service, highly recommend!
Negative experience: Rang to arrange appt to view. Girl on phone fairly uninterested, couldn't find me an appt with 3 days to view. Said she would call back, never did. Was more interested in arranging a phone appt with countrywide for a mortgage, she booked me in but I never got that call either. In conclusion....they have several potential properties I like but I won't go near them now. Of you're selling with them.... I'd go elsewhere!!
Negative experience: Rang to get a valuation on a property to sell. Extremely rude gentleman with a huge attitude problem on the end of the phone . Gave up half way through and told him I didn't want to use them as he was arguing with me when I said I didn't appreciate his attitude. Appalling customer service will go with a more professional agent

Negative experience: I called them 5 times a day after viewing a property and they didn't answer. After a week of doing this they finally answered and told me the property has been let to someone else. I never received a call from Ben despite them saying they would. This has delayed my plans and caused me a lot of stress.

Negative experience: The repairs team are great. Until it's the weekend. Rentals have no out of hours repairs what so ever. So if your roof caves in on a saturday night or anything disastrous happens- be prepared to have no contact until Monday, when they open. Our boiler has packed in and now we are sat here no heating and no hot water until they decide to open. Absolutely diabolical to be an estate agent with all these houses and no emergency contact for over the weekends. Shocking.

Fantastic experience: I needed a new house in Swansea but didn’t have the time to search online. So, I went directly to the John Francis lettings office. In less than seven days, I had completed the viewing, signed all the necessary documents, and finally moved into my new home. The staff at the office were fantastic—they understood the urgency of my situation and got everything sorted quickly. To top it all off, I even received a welcome gift!

Fantastic experience: Had an amazing experience viewing a property where I met Samuel Marmont at the door of the property where he was smart and approachable and friendly were he introduced himself and welcomed me into the property where he was very knowledgeable of the property and friendly and professional. Fantastic experience: Had a viewing of a house with a gentleman named samuel marmont, was a lovely guy and took time to show us around the house and let us have a good look around to explore any potential issues, not that there was any.
Fantastic experience: Went to their swansea office to ask for a property we like, unfortunately it was already taken. However, Michelle accommodated and helped us to look for properties available. Sophie toured us around the property we viewed, she was very knowledgable and bubbly and she answered our questions well. She is excellent in her field. Michelle kept us well informed and updated, and offered help when needed. Shocked and saddened when she moved offices when we were the end of the buying process, but Josh came to the rescue and made us at ease towards completion. The only downside was when we rang their office one day to get an update and an agent (we didn’t catch the name) couldn’t find details of our sale even though we’ve given them the address. We called in to the office to check and spoke to Josh who reassured us that our sale was on the system. Overall, service was great! Would highly recommend John Francis Swansea!

Negative experience: Worst letting agency ever. I called to apply for a property but was told I need to view before I can apply for a property. Fair enough, except there were no viewing appointments left. So I was then offered a video tour so I could apply for the property. I phoned twice on the day of the viewing to ensure this video would be sent to me and nothing was sent. I called back to hear the property was let! Why would you offer me this video tour and tell me that I will have equal chance to apply for the property, same as all other candidates. I was prepared to apply before even viewing the property and was given false hope and false promises. If you are unlucky enough to deal with this agency, please do not have Richard.

Negative experience: Avoid if you are a seller.....In my case... A complete lack of customer care and service. Several emails not responded to. No reduction in fees for overpricing. Its not the value of the property that is the issue it was their tactics to secure my custom. Over valuing properties without local knowledge of the area they are advertising in (in my case). No offer of explanation or apology. Due to complete next week. Personally wouldn't sell through this branch in the future. Props to Michelle for being a lovely lady to deal with on the few occasions I have spoke to her.

Negative experience: Not sure who I spoke to but I felt like an inconvenience when calling to ask some questions about a property to rent, they were trying to put me off the property telling me 1 thing but then telling my partner another thing when he then called a few hours later.

Negative experience: I am so disappointed at the service I have received in respect of a prospective tenancy . I was promised a call back on five occasions but didn’t receive the curtesy of a call which would have taken less than a minute of the persons time . Fantastic experience: I have nothing but positive words to say about John Frances. The whole team have been amazing from start to finish! They were able to get me in within the week and were so helpful through such a stressful process. Even after moving in, they have been so helpful and reliable making sure we settled in alright. I want to thank Sam, Jodi, Richard, and Aled as they were a calming and reassuring voice in such a stressful time whilst also delivering top notch customer service and the most correct information. Fantastic experience: A first class team that delivered a first class service. An object lesson in what a house seller/buyer looks for from an estate agent. Nothing,however small or trivial was too much trouble for them.
Negative experience: Pretty much useless. If youre a tenant then feel free to smash up the place you rent because John Francis wont check or care! They dont perform inspections that they claim to. Staff have a generally poor knowledge of property management and business in general. Avoid at all costs. Believe it or not but theyre even worse at sales.
Positive experience: A few issues along the way but I found Michelle and rhys very easy to talk to, always tried their best to sort things out and always returned my calls, which doesn't always happen. Very happy with the service from both of them

Fantastic experience: We sold our house with John Francis Pontardawe. We had offers in almost immediately and achieved full asking price within two weeks of going on the market. JF were extremely helpful throughout and helped the sale go through smoothly. Their photos of the property were terrific. Throughout the process we had a good line of Communication and our calls were always answered promptly, invaluable as during the entire sale we were out of the country. Negative experience: Tried to book a viewing on couple properties online. No one ever replied if they’re still available or gone already. What’s the point of having a website if you dont even bother replying to online requests on your own official website. Ridiculous service.

Negative experience: Overall our experience with John Francis estate agents was very temperamental and overall disappointing with the lack of communication and having to nag the staff to follow up from property viewings and ask if they are interested, which is not what we should be asking the estate agent to do… it’s what they should be doing automatically as that’s their job! It was just by luck that someone drove past our house seeing the for sale sign and quickly popped over whilst it was still open for viewing and was interested to proceed with the purchase otherwise we were expecting to wait another 6 months for a reasonable offer. At one point we didn’t hear any update from the estate agents for weeks and were so fed up of waiting for something to happen, we had no choice but to contact Peter Alan which seemed to know what they were doing from the start and got plenty of viewings booked in. My overall advice would be to go with Peter Alan if your looking to get things done properly and promptly. It was just by luck that John Francis got the sale which was solely down to the person who was interested in buying chasing up. Quite frankly it was nothing on the estate agents’ part that managed to sell our house. It’s annoying that we paid a large amount of commission to John Francis when they hardly did anything and my partner had to do most of the hard work and admin. This is our true experience of what happened and can only speak on our personal experience.
Fantastic experience: AMAZING service and professionalism!!! What an absolute fantastic agency and group of staff. Through out the entire process of purchasing our property, from our first viewing to collecting our keys the staff at Swansea's John Francis were understanding, patient and extremely supportive. All staff went above and beyond to guarantee my partner and I were always well informed and were extremely attentive always. I cannot praise this branch and it's staff enough for their outstanding work ethic. Very approachable staff, well organised and prompt. FANTASTIC AGENCY I would recommend to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Excellent experience with John Francis. I can't recommend John Francis enough after having just completed a house sale with them. I had a lot of estate agents come round and do a classic sales pitch to try and get my business- it was refreshing to speak to Rhys who was very open, honest and understanding. I am very happy to have chosen John Francis as my agent as the process with very smooth. Great communication from Michelle and Rhys throughout, even after they handed me over to the solicitors. 100% recommend.

Negative experience: Good morning. I hate to down people but this is totally disgraceful. The solictors very un proffessional we were waiting fot 6 7 months to get into propterty whilst i was doing all chasing and work finally we got in. The 2 weeks been in the property major faults for clearing out the whole garden which was left in mess too smells around property of water leaks too gas. Until we found when lifiting the boards diaster of pipes leaking out water even worst gas this is a killer its awful with 3 year old daughter i have. The property had fake gas certified paper work when peeling off 2021 found 2015 boiler had to be replace that when we found issues there big dangerous plumber said been hidden well had shut down leaving us no heating and no running hot water for 5 days till this point. Solicitors duty to there client's safety but they dont care and use you as bait paying more money for there work which i cant see any good searches just based on lies as for previous owner well she ripped us off and left hell lot of problems its death trap so all evidence we have put also leaks coming through roof so take good look dont trust any of these solicitors and agent john francis thanxxx

Fantastic experience: We found John Francis (Swansea branch) to be excellent in all our dealings with them. We just completed on the sale of our house in the Swansea area and their professionalism, kindness and expertise was much appreciated. In particular we are very grateful to Rhys and Michelle who kept us informed of everything and helped us to get the best price for the property. I would highly recommend this estate agent to everyone. Nothing was too much trouble for them.

Fantastic experience: Very quick and efficient sale of our house in Swansea. All staff took responsibility for the sale rather than leaving to one person in the branch which meant whenever we phoned someone could tell us what was happening. They generated lots of interest in the property and offered sound advice on choosing the right buyer. We would definitely use John Francis in Swansea again.

Fantastic experience: Amazing, friendly, efficient service from the whole team in the Swansea branch, to sell my property. Expert advice and service in particular from Rhys Davies from listing to completion, who ensured the property was marketed correctly and and always kept me in the loop with updates - nothing was too much trouble. Fantastic experience: I've rented my current flat from the team at John Francis Swansea, and they have been an absolute delight - extremely swift and responsive communication, clear and open communications about any of the questions I had, and extremely helpful during some of the early 'teething problems' around getting set up in a new place. The team (I've interacted with Alice Osbourne, Ceri Osbourne, and Max Groves) were fantastic and really put me at my ease moving to a new city at short notice. If you're looking for a good letting agent in Swansea, I cannot recommend them more highly.
