Fantastic experience: We bought our first house through Chancellors So it was only right we sold with them! Most years Chancellors would come out and value the house, or give a value over the phone and always ask if there was anything we needed. When it came to selling Jack was great from start to finish. Kept us updated at every stage, was always contactable no matter the question. Bella and the rest of the team were equally as helpful and friendly even dealing with our offers whilst we were in Greece. Whilst we hope to now not move for many years, we will always consider Chancellors!

Negative experience: Unfortunately had an extremely poor experience with this so called “estate agents”. Contacted them in regards to noisy upstairs tenants who rent through them. After calling up several times to try to find a solution the so called “property manager” informed us there was “nothing they could do from their side” as if it is not there very job. They made no effort to try to allocate the situation and in fact only gave their tenants advice on how to carry on banging throughout the day so as to disrupt our daily lives. Made no independent investigation and clearly passed on information from my email correspondence to the tenants, very poor practice indeed. Overall an extremely unprofessional organisation and frankly I wouldn’t trust them and advise people not to rent/buy through them as they are not capable of basic professionalism or carrying out the most minimal tasks of their job roles

Negative experience: Please don't take letting properties from these people. They will rip you off after you vacate from the property saying it is not clean. I got affected from them saying cleaning required even though flat is clean. Please find the below pictures even though flat is clean, they want to charge from me. Not sure how can be cleaning charges be charged for this flat too.

Negative experience: had a terrible experience, company moved my appointment around the day before and didn’t send me through the address. real address was an hour away from where it was scheduled, had to cancel as i needed to be working at that time, and couldn’t spare an additional hour in the middle of a weekday due to work there colleague decided it was appropriate to phone me up and insult me over the phone, incredibly unprofessional and rude

Fantastic experience: We had to move to Aylesbury for work. I got in touch with the agency after seeing a house for rent on Zoopla. Lillie Kirkham is the agent who handled my enquiries. She was friendly, engaging, on the ball and clearly prioritised what we wanted in a home from the jump. We did not get the house that we viewed however, immediately after, within two days, Lillie had procured a portfolio of various properties that ticked the things that we were looking for in a home. She knew what we wanted before we did. She recommended a property that we hadn't even really considered. After viewing it we immediately realised that it was the perfect place for us and it is where we are living now. Had it not been for Lillie and Chancellors we never would've considered this property, yet alone moved into it. This is the best letting agency I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. I would recommend it to everyone. You are in good hands.

Negative experience: My experience with this agency was frustrating from start to finish. I found the staff to be unresponsive and at times even dismissive. Important information was either withheld or shared far too late, causing unnecessary stress and delays. There was a clear lack of organization and accountability throughout the process. I expected better service from a professional agency and unfortunately cannot recommend them based on how I was treated.

Negative experience: I had a very disappointing experience with Chancellors. Communication was poor throughout the entire process I was constantly chasing updates and rarely received timely or helpful responses. Promises were made but not kept, and it often felt like they were more interested in closing a deal than providing any real service or support. I expected a basic level of professionalism and accountability, but unfortunately, that was lacking. I would not recommend this agency based on my experience.

Negative experience: Although initially we were happy with the service, since we have signed the contract, and have been pressured into taking on the tenancy early, we have since been really messed around. The house we are renting is not up to standard with dirty stains, marks on the walls, broken lights, broken plug sockets, seals around sinks that are not professionally done, chipped cupboards and frames, as well as the cleaning service not being conducted until AFTER our tenancy began. Also, we are being told the stains and holes in the walls were to be taken as seen, which considering we viewed the property with the old tenants furniture and belongings still being present in the house, this was difficult to see all of the damage, so this frankly, feels like we are being swindled. Let's also not forget that the debris and old furniture of the previous tenants is STILL in the property. I am honestly incredibly unhappy with the service we have received since we have signed the tenancy agreement, and am hoping this is going to be resolved in a positive way for us. However, from all the deflection so far, we haven't got high hopes. This is severely upsetting as moving house is stressful enough, without having to fight tooth and nail for our basic rights to be respected.

Fantastic experience: My agent Lillie was extremely nice and helpful. As a local she even gave me some insight and advice on things to do locally. Was a pleasure meeting her, and 5 stars to her, she really sold the place well to me. Only downside to the whole process was that I wasn’t a fan of the Lettings Hub, the referencing agency used by Chancellors. They seemed like a useless middle man that didn’t do much except extend the process. Didn’t seem super professional and their online reviews are terrible, so was quite uncomfortable sending them my personal details. Wish I could have just sent my documents and references to agent/landlord directly - sometimes simple communication is best, instead of outsourcing everything!

Negative experience: I had the worst experience ever with this letting agency I wanted to put zero star but we all know how it goes on here. I had the best of experience when I was renting with them but after living in the property and at the end of the tenancy it shows they did not care at all. I have to be leaving work early the chase them regarding my deposit and for weeks I am being told they cannot get hold of my Landlord to sign off on the return of my deposit. I feel like they are literally taking me for an idiot but I will continue to share my experience with others. This is the same letting agency that has the flat up online for rent . Like you can rent the Landlord property without his permission then but I cannot get my deposit without permission, WORD TO THE WISE if you ever experience this raise a dispute within 3 months of end of tenancy as they will not tell you this.
