Negative experience: Staff have very poor communication skills. It was very hard to get hold of anyone who knew what was going on with my property purchase at all. I was told wrong information by staff, and always had to chase for updates. It was an exceptionally disappointing experience. I just wanted simple updates and for someone to know what the status was - I was disappointed.

Negative experience: Exceptionally incompetent, very poor communication and very rude - I would recommend anyone to use a different estate agent! A very disappointing experience. I have had much better experiences with other estate agents.

Negative experience: Refuse to let you out of your contract with them even after their service has been extremely poor. Lock you in with no option to terminate and then provide terrible service. Unfair terms and poor service. Do not use

Negative experience: Absolutely awful!!! I have had a terrible experience with this office, exceptionally rude and unprofessional and I would wish no one else to have to go through this. I would highly recommend you use a different estate estate to save yourself time, money and a lot of stress!

Fantastic experience: Have recently completed my sale through Darlows Canton. They were exceptional! Especially Tim. Couldn’t recommend Darlows enough, I originally had my property on the market with Peter Alan and the experience was terrible. Constants errors, no communication and rudeness, and my property was on the market with them for 6 months with no positive outcomes and barely any viewings. But then thankfully, I switched to Darlows and my property sold in two weeks! They are professional, communicative, helpful and genuinely a really friendly team. Very satisfied customer! Negative experience: Are Darlow really an estate agent? Are they still in Business? On 20th March 2025 I had a property viewing with Craig Barret, a partner at the Llandaff office and had an offer accepted 4 days later. Craig was exceptionally helpful but then unfortunately disappeared around the end of May 2025. Around the same time Sadie at the canton office called me regarding purchase update, and when I advised I was unable to contact Craig, she failed to inform me he no longer worked for the company, and advised he was on sick and would call soon. I came to know from personal connections he had left the company. On 10th July I contacted Sadie regarding changes to the offer and was informed the revised memorandum of sale would be forwarded. In her email, she apologies for the lack of communication following Craig’s departure from Darlows [The first time it had been acknowledged]and ensured me I would be kept informed moving forward. That was the last time I heard from Sadie or Darlows. The revised memorandum of sale never arrived. On 16th July I emailed the canton branch and Sadie regarding the memorandum of sale but nobody replied. On 23rd July, 4 months after agreeing to purchase, and having no correspondence with Darlows, I decided to withdraw my offer and emailed Darlows Canton and Sadie to inform them, but received no reply On 30th July, I personally wrote to the seller giving reasons for withdrawing, and discovered nobody from Darlows had informed him The seller has contacted Darlows, I have contacted Darlows and still today 17th August the property is listed on rightmove as SSTC Error have been made, other will be blamed I’m sure!

Fantastic experience: Spoke with Thasos, who was incredibly friendly and helpful. He was thorough and assisted with finding a viewing time that worked for us - which was tricky, given our schedule. Would definitely recommend.

Negative experience: Very disappointed with this estate agent made an offer was exsepted on a property had email confirmation then four weeks into the sale had a masage on my phone to say the vendor is now going with the first person who was interested in the property but had lost their sale but is now in a position to go though. Not very professional has I was told by other people I had a first time buyer in line to buy my property who had everything in place so he too was very disappointed so buyer beware.

Fantastic experience: Dropped into Canton office and met Dylan at 9am and had arranged viewing for 11am the same day! Proper service and a good honest appraisal of the property, thanks Dylan.

Fantastic experience: I've only viewed one property with this estate agent so far. Dylan was very knowledgeable about the property and helpful. He manged to fit me in at short notice and also asked great questions about what I was looking for. He caught up with me later in the day and managed again to fit me in for another viewing at short notice. So far I'm impressed with the attentiveness and efficency of this estate agents.

This is largely due to the efforts of the staff involved and in particular from the Canton branch, Dan Murphy and Lewis Evans. Both have conducted themselves with professionalism and are very knowledgeable in their field. Dan helped provide a thorough appraisal at the front end and Lewis handled the sale from there on. Fantastic experience: Aaron Sullivan made the experience of selling a house we’ve lived in for 40 years stress-free. His manner was warm and encouraging. He was very knowledgeable, kept us well informed throughout, and gave us confidence in his advice. He acted professionally, with great communication at all times and made us feel that our business was very important to him. Even the photos he took were excellent and showed put house in the best possible light. He recognised that the best way to sell our house was an open day and out of 27 viewings that day, he achieved 14 offers, 13 of which were at asking price or above. I have been really struggling to book viewings, Darlows are always the first to contact as soon as a property in my criteria & budget becomes available. Louise showed me around my first viewing. She made us feel at ease and let us explore the property without feeling pressured to make a decision there and then.

Negative experience: Booked a viewing for a lovely flat and had a confirmation email from a Morgan Mepham but no one showed up, leaving stood on the street outside! I drove all the way from Bristol to Cardiff, and with fuel prices the way they are it’s a hard pill to swallow. Lovely on the phone, but still terrible service.
