Negative experience: Had viewing planned with Matt for over a week considering the fact we were travelling from London to Ipswich and we already rented a car just to receive a phone call night before viewing to be told that he “thinks” property we want to see it’s let agreed. Not a problem - we said ok, since we already paid for rented car we can see more expensive house from same estate to then hear another lie that this time he doesn’t have a fob to show us property… it was a lie all the way from start to finish. Matt didn’t even have courage to admit he didn’t book us in instead he stopped answering phone calls. He then called us before 1pm (our viewing was scheduled for 10:30am) to tell us that we can go to drive around estate as he is still on hold!!? And cannot get access. Waste of time. No respect for client. Maybe Matt should be trained more or he should possibly change job.

Negative experience: Unfortunately, quite bad experience with them. I had a lifetime membership from when I bought the flat so I decided to sell with them as I thought it would be cheaper. It wasn't. The total price came up to exactly what other estate agents would charge, even after the discount. Not something that I should worry about because they never managed to sell my flat. I complained for months that my flat was hidden in pages like Rightmove, and they never resolved it. Up until the last day, my flat was not visible in the largest property hunting platform right now. For the 3 months and a half it was advertised, WHB managed one visit to my flat on the first week, then went silent and never updated me again on how the sale was going. They contacted me to reduce the price, which I agreed to, and they just hoped that would solve everything, obviously it didn't because the flat was still hidden on Rightmove and they did not advertise it at all. Incredibly poor communication, when I passed feedback the response was to gaslight me and give me a million excuses. Tremendously poor customer service, even when I raised this up to end my contract with them they said "we can try and lower the price more to garnish attention" which I find borderline offensive. Avoid if possible, sell your flat with local agents who will care more about you and not just the number that you represent on their personal targets.

Negative experience: Phoned up to arrange viewing of a property in Hervey Street and spoke to Harry, was asked many questions, some of which I refused to answer as it was clear he was fishing for as much data as possible. Was told the viewing was booked for monday at 4pm. I phoned the branch just before leaving home and was told no booking was in the diary and my details could not be located on the system. So the question is what happened to the data and why were so many questions asked if he had no intention of arranging a viewing..

As first time buyers the process of searching and applying for mortgages can be daunting but I never felt that once with Abbey!
