Fantastic experience: Logan has been amazing with helping and supporting me move into a new property. He is super polite and very efficient with his support!

Negative experience: If you are looking for a letting agent that allows landlords to violate tenants rights and shirk their legal responsibilities, look no further than Leaders Ipswich. I never had an urgent repair (no hot water, broken boiler, kicked in front door) attended to in a timely manner, and lived for months without a front door or heating. Their processes mean they can simply reassign you a different property manager every month to avoid accountability, or to make it difficult for tenants to keep clear paper trails of communication. Be careful of their “no deposit scheme” which means you will pay a monthly subscription for your entire tenancy there. Leaders Ipswich also violate conditions of the deposit protection scheme by not carrying out check out or check in inventories, and then advising landlords to stick tenants for end of tenancy charges. Thankfully I kept records and they were not able to charge me £700 for “removal of furniture”…which by the way…was MY furniture. I will be escalating my complaints, however they are now not responding to my subject access requests or FOI enquiries, despite being legally required to within 1 month. Which I will be escalating to the Information Commission Office & then to the financial ombudsman to do further investigation into this landlord, the 4 flats he rents out, and leaders role in responding to tenant complaints and issues.

Negative experience: My experience with Leaders (Logan branch) was not what I expected. I provided documentation including a B2B contract, invoices clearly showing payments received from my client, and a guarantor with strong income. I was informed that further documentation was required following feedback from the referencing process. Throughout the application, communication felt inconsistent and the process did not progress in a clear or transparent way. Using the same documentation, I was able to proceed successfully with other agencies for similar properties. I understand that agencies may follow different internal procedures, however clearer communication and consistency would have made a significant difference to this experience.

Fantastic experience: We dealt with Amber Selby on our rental property and the services she rendered were superb. At the time of calling in for the property it just went off the market, but as soon as the property came back online, Amber reached out to find out if we were still interested and the rest is history. What stood out also was her interest in getting to know us as people and not only as clients. She kept us updated through out the journey from start to finish. Negative experience: This leaders is a scam, they had scammers on calls, asking for holding deposit without providing full info for the deposit, and if you fail references somehow and they would make it fail if they find other person and they will not return your deposit back, they will never tell you every basic info, and keep on asking for money, i will never trust them again, other reviews from my other known people have the same issue with them, they will also put there reviews here

Negative experience: Extremely unprofessional and discourteous experience. The agency refused to speak over the phone and offered no real communication throughout. As soon as they discovered a five-year-old credit issue, I was abruptly dismissed with no explanation, no support, and no follow-up. I was bluntly told, “There’s nothing we can do for you,” and that was it—no empathy or basic courtesy. I felt completely disregarded and disrespected. If this is how they treat prospective tenants, I wouldn’t trust them to handle anything responsibly. Shocking customer service. Avoid.

Positive experience: 10/10 for perseverance, they didn't stop. My property fell through twice, at no fault of the estate agent, but they were so very supportive. All staff were polite and friendly. I would like to have seen the agents using their knowledge of the property with potential buyers.

She allowed me time to view the property and I was not rushed. Being a first time buyer this is all very new to me but the information she provided was so helpful and invaluable. Negative experience: Where to start probably one of the worse experiences renting in my life.... 1. Oven broke and had to wait two months to get a new one..... 2. Any and all repairs where done to a sub par standard and even once accused me of causing damage even though work was never done properly. 3. Money grabbing once I left the property they wanted a 400 exit fee. 4. Was Miss sold what the 0% deposit scheme is (my fault for not checking) but paid monthly fees to them for nothing really. 5. As of now they want 1300 for damages and repairs despite never showing clear invoices or proof of damages or even the repairs. I have even talked to the current tenants and they have confirmed no real repairs have been done except for some paint. Even when trying to get basic info they were useless and even said it's the landlords right to have this money even if they don't do the repairs. Honestly they are all a bunch of morally bank rumpt crooks that only care about bleeding you dry been fighting with them for over a year and now they are trying to scare us to pay them the money or face a CCJ avoid at all cost especially if you are dealing with Alyona.

Negative experience: DO NOT USE LEADERS. I had a number of issues whilst living in a property managed by Leaders. To start with, it turns out the flat had no ventilation. Despite me opening the windows and purchasing a dehumidifier, the flat rapidly grew mould and the air filled with damp. Almost all of my items were destroyed. Eventually some extractor fans were fit in the property. But it was too late. Furthermore, whilst I was living at the property, the boiler flooded the flat 3 times, causing the electric and gas to go. I had to sleep in a mouldy flat, freezing cold, on my sofa because the mould destroyed my bed. The mould also made me very unwell, to the point of hospitalisation. Finally, I was able to break the contact and leave. I made complaints to leaders and the area manager which were ignored. I never had an apology for what I went through, in a house under their care. They are more than happy to take your money but they do not care about the tenants. I could write so much more! If you value your life, please please please do not use leaders!!!!!

Negative experience: Enquired about alot of places always get a call asking questions about income and a virtual tour after that don't hear another thing inless you keep ringing up every day. Also not good for landlords as before possible tenants have pulled out and they wanted me to reapply again. Also found out today I can't rent with them for what I need without a guarantor. This was said after about 6 applications and never said before

Negative experience: Leaders Ipswich are the worst estate agents I have ever used. The no-deposit scheme is a massive scam and a complete waste of money. Twice now, having vacated their properties and done a deep clean myself with my partner, then they send quotes for a further clean, and this is whilst a new tenant moves in, I continue to negotiate this "quote" for cleaning, which doesn't need doing. They then threatened CCJ, which forced me to pay them this fee as I didn't want to lose my perfect credit rating; I've spoken to other people who have experienced the same issue. If you pay an upfront deposit, they will deduct money if they find a spec of dust. Avoid at all costs.

Positive experience: Abigail Williams has been most helpful recently with maintenance issues at Felnor Walk, Felixstowe - specifically getting replacement communal bins after the shocking fire of 29 th May - although this did take nearly 2 months. Also at my flat getting replacement broken window catch and oven. Hopefully also velux window cleaning will also be given the go ahead. She has been polite & helpful in her communications, and prompt in replying to my requests & inquiries.

Negative experience: Appears as though they are great for landlords but not for tenants. Property manager rude, dismissive and does not care. Been waiting for nearly 2 weeks for a refund of my deposit. Landlord confirmed 100% to be refunded but they needed me to confirm that amount too. Why would I argue that amount?! After living in the property for 3 years and looking after it well this is how I’ve been rewarded. My advice would be to speak to anyone but Freya. After confirming 3 times for the amount to be paid and the bank details, she still didn’t process the refund and blamed the accounts department for missing it. My thoughts are she couldn’t wait to finish work for the bank holiday weekend and didn’t send it through to them. Head office seem useless and uninterested too so wouldn’t bother with the company as a whole.

Fantastic experience: Leaders in Ipswich and in particular Olive Dunlop represent a dynamic business that found a buyer within 10 days for my flat this was then supported by the most professional aftersales service which I can thoroughly recommend to anybody looking for a 1st class estate agent.

Negative experience: Been there for two years. When I moved in, internet was slow enough that you couldn't use Youtube on 2 devices at the same time. It was fixed a few months later (approx. 6 months) after pestering the agency/landlord. No CO detector in my room for more than a year even though the central heating/boiler was in a wannabe closet in my room and according to the law, the CO detector must've been there from the beginning, way before I moved in. Took them 2-3 months to get that installed. Mold in the bathroom because the insulation in the ceiling was non-existent and the extractor fan couldn't keep up with the steam in the bathroom. Wet patches on the walls in the living room which were disregarded for a long period of time. Agency in general not caring about tenants and being extremely slow in regards to any query and/or any issue that happened. There is a guy in the branch who is actually caring, but can't remember his name. I won't name my property manager as she was close to useless in most of the situations. If you have better options, go with other agencies.

Fantastic experience: Again Leaders have found new tenants to rent my property. They handled the introduction, set up and also took care of the Deposit Protection giving me a hassle free experience. I predominantly dealt with Freya and Jodie and I found them both very friendly, helpful and competent.
