Negative experience: Edit: They pretend they care about it but when actually confronted about the issue they threaten with not returning the deposit any time soon. Scammy behaviour all around, might as well throw ur deposit away. Original: After renting with them for years, they probably are very good for letting but one of the worst when it comes to renting. Bad communication and will try to get you to pay for anything that they haven't fixed when moving in.

There is NO resolution to any problems with Martin and Co - they simply do not care. It seems to me they value money over actual living conditions. They simply do not care about tenants. Do not use Martin and Co, they are dreadful. Me and my partner are looking to relocate and not have to use Martin and Co ever again.

Negative experience: I was really disappointed with the professionalism of this company. Firstly we did not get a confirmation email of the viewing. Had to call to confirm in the morning, and confirmation given it was on. We travelled from London and another client from Bristol, we were both waiting outside appointment was at 10am. Called twice and just given a generic answer by someone - that they must be stuck in city centre your agent will be with you soon. We waited for around half an hour then decided to just go into the office, finally pulled someone out, who didnt apologise or even make a conversation. When asked what happened twice reply was 'lost track of time'.. Further more to make it even worse we weren't even allowed to go in, looked like the current people there didnt even know there was a viewing Even more embarrassing the guy didn't know the way out..... So waste of a journey and morning!!!! Further more I emailed twice to complain didn't even have the decency to reply or acknowledge.

Positive experience: I initially left a 5-star review because the process before everything was signed and paid was efficient, transparent, and well-handled. Jessica was professional throughout, and communication was excellent — up until that point. Since then, the service has deteriorated significantly. It’s now been a full week since my tenancy started, and I still haven’t received the second set of keys. On multiple occasions, I’ve been told the keys were available, only to take time off work, go to the office, and find out they weren’t — which has also made the moving process unnecessarily difficult. Yesterday (Tuesday), I received an email assuring me that the keys would be ready for pickup today (Wednesday). Once again, I took time off work to collect them — only to be told, yet again, that they were not there. The secretary even said there was “good news” because the keys were on their way and would arrive in 45 minutes to an hour — as if I should be happy to wait around during my working day. This kind of disorganization and disregard for people’s time is completely unacceptable. What started as a professional and positive experience has turned into a frustrating one marked by poor follow-through and a lack of respect for tenants.

Negative experience: Extremely Poor Service and Lack of Professionalism I submitted an application for a flat and completed all required checks three weeks before my confirmed move-in date. During that time, I repeatedly followed up with my coordinator, Josh Davies, asking for updates. His responses were dismissive and unhelpful, insisting that everything was fine and that there were “no issues,” despite my concerns and reminders that my current lease was ending. After chasing them continuously for three weeks, I was informed just two days before my move-in date that the property was not ready. I then contacted the branch directly and spoke with the manager, Oscar Huball. My experience with Oscar was incredibly disappointing. He claimed the previous tenants had moved out late, even though when I viewed the flat five weeks earlier, the wardrobes, fridge, cupboards, and bathroom were all completely empty — clearly unoccupied. When I asked why this issue had not been communicated sooner, Oscar’s response was, “I’m informing you now.” When I explained that I would effectively be left without accommodation due to the last-minute disclosure, he replied, “What do you want me to do?” Rather than offering solutions or taking accountability, Oscar was dismissive, unprofessional, and showed no willingness to help resolve the situation. The lack of communication and basic customer service from someone in a managerial role was astonishing. I will not be using this company again and will be reporting my experience to the Property Ombudsman and Trading Standards.

Negative experience: I and my husband visited this website and came across a house at 55 sandbourne road which v wanted to view. Initially I was booked for a viewing by Mia hinckley a senior manger at this branch for Friday 12th September which was canceled and reschedule for Monday 15th of September. As Monday is a working day v requested for virtual tour for which she agreed but I waited the whole day on Monday but unfortunately they couldn't provide me the video as they said the tenant did not allow which is understandable Than I was again booked for viewing on 18th Sep for which v took a day v travelled all the way from Leicester to Birmingham with by 1 year old faand just 1hour a ago v received the mail that viewing is cancelled and no longer available Just I can say v had a big loss v thought tht these people r professional as I was dealing with senior manager but unfortunately they r scammers I will highly not recommend u people.

Negative experience: Absolutely disappointing and horrible customer care. Almost a month of moving out and no deposit returned. No decision made on deductions till now. How ridiculous. Property manager always making promises that are not honored and making excuses. Serious incompetence.

Negative experience: I had a terrible experience with this agency. They booked me in to view a property that had already been let, wasting my time after I traveled all the way from London. When I called to raise my concerns, the person on the phone hung up on me instead of addressing the issue professionally. Completely unhelpful and unprofessional. I won’t be dealing with them again and would not recommend them to anyone looking for reliable service.
