Having dealt with many letting agents past and present and being a landlord myself, I just have not come across such a proactive and tenacious lettings negotiator in many years. Negative experience: Where do I even begin? Firstly, their communication is appalling. Whenever you ring the number they never pick up and even when you get through for a call back, no calls back. I have been with Dixons since September 2023 and the way they have managed my property is nothing but short of a disgrace. Complete failure to notice my home was turned in to a HMO despite one property visit in 18 months. Not sure how it took myself to visit my rental property out notice my home was turned in to a HMO but Dixons couldn't. Even when Dixons carried out a property visit you could see from a visit report, the tenant damaged my property but no action was taken! When you bring these issues to Dixons, do you think they are really worthy of the short percentage they take from the rent? Absolutely not. The only helpful staff member was Ryan who made life easier at times but the rest of the staff in person..... well it's like talking to a brick wall. Like how do you want landlords to put trusts in a company like Dixons when their staff are unhelpful, showing no willingness to resolve the issue and having no education in the area of lettings. The response I got back was "your contract with Dixons has ended and we cant help you". Complete and utter joke. I have yet to be contacted by Dixons regarding their failures of managing my property and unfortunately it will likely to remain the same way. Please avoid Dixons at all costs! It's better to do it all yourself rather than pay these thieves.

I got to work with Kristina, Sophie, Katrina and the team was an absolute delight to be with. The sheer kindness, attention, ability to answer each query, and honesty that they showed impressed us beyond measure. The team was extremely professional yet very comfortable to talk to and discuss everything in detail. This is something I have found missing in most of the other property agents, but not in the Dixons team. They were punctual, and had all the answers to our questions, which was extremely comforting for us. We knew we are in the right hands! Negative experience: Tell me why I specifically asked about energy supplier and if they do that thing where they auto set you up with their preferred company and they told me no they dont do that. Now almost a month in despite initially setting up with octopus energy on the day we moved in, come to find out today that DIXONS did indeed set up an account with ovo under my name without prior notice or permission! Oh and they clearly dont inspect homes for rent to check the landlord has actually done the things they agreed to do before you move in! But they will of course pester you for the deposit and first rent knowing full well they haven't even checked the property. There were other little things too but this energy thing was just last straw for me. I will 100% never use dixons again as I've previously had a bad experience with another branch of dixons my fault I thought another branch and years later they might be a better service. HA! more fool me I guess

Fantastic experience: Selling and buying/moving house can be very stressful, I signed with Dixons and Rebecca came and explained thoroughly the whole process, Naif, Zoe helped us to get viewing and got us an offer. Which was great, then I met David Smith ( mortgage advisor/broker) who is a real hero to get me a very good mortgage offer and sort everything out for us, got mortgage offer within 4-6 days, he explained what is needed, which made it very simple. Communication from him for each step was 2nd to none and he is very approachable. Thank you to whole Dixons team for assisting us in this journey.

Negative experience: I bought my house with this company and thought it would be a good idea to sell using them again Dixon's Yardley. I called up and spoke to someone who wasn't the best, I gave home my details and was told I would be contacted, I was not! He didn't even ask for my house number!! I have called 7 times and no answer just a voice mail, not a great service if you cannot speak to anyone! I left a voice mail stating that it's been a week and a half and have no correspondence from the or confirmation of the appointment. No email, no phone calls, a bit surprised as the amount of leaflets you have put though my door, I would have thought you were trying to create house sales not give awful customer support with nothing but being ghosted. I would not recommend this company at all, I have called other estate agents, who have acted professionally and have sent correspondence to confirm the appointments. How do you stay in business with the way you are running the Yardley branch, I don't know but you need to review your staff and customer care.
