Negative experience: I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the services provided by your real estate agency. Unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing. Your agency has not been honest in dealing with tenants. In particular, when it comes time to return the security deposit, money is deducted under various unreasonable and unjustified excuses, which is completely unacceptable. Additionally, your team shows little to no responsibility when it comes to handling maintenance or issues related to the property. Requests are ignored or significantly delayed. The lack of professionalism and reliability has caused unnecessary stress and frustration. Based on my experience, I would not recommend your agency to anyone. I strongly advise others to avoid renting properties through your agency, as the service does not meet even basic standards of trust, responsibility, or customer care.

Negative experience: To whom it may concern, I am writing to raise my concern regarding the service I have received from your branch. I have been trying all week to arrange a viewing for an apartment I am very interested in purchasing. When I called on the off chance, a very polite member of your team assisted me and arranged access to the development on Pricess Street. Unfortunately, we were unable to view the property as the agent did not have the correct key code. I understand that mistakes can happen in the industry. My main concern, however, relates to the lack of follow-up. I had sent messages to your customer service number requesting updates on when the viewing could be rearranged, yet nearly a week later, I have received no communication. When I called again today to chase the appointment, I was met with an extremely obnoxious and condescending tone from the agent on the phone. He stated that I am “not required to be kept updated” and spoke to me in a way that was both rude and dismissive. This behavior is unacceptable and has left me extremely unhappy with the service I have received. It is also concerning that staff members refer to themselves as “the Wolf of Whiteworth Street,” which, in my experience, seems to reflect an unprofessional and overly arrogant attitude. Clearly, this does not align with the level of professionalism one would expect from a reputable estate agency. Fantastic experience: Getting my keys on Monday 09/02/2026 with less stress and time. I am so happy!!!. Can't wait to move into my new home on Monday. Negative experience: Moved into the property where I found there was no heating. The hot water also didnt work unless the immersion was used. The team are slow to respond to any issues raised and unsupportive. The home had mould throughout the property after 5 weeks of doing nothing they paid a man to paint over it with bathroom paint. When I spoke to the head of property about the mould and my concerns for my health i was called ridiculous. Following my report of mould at the apartment. I was swiftly serviced a Section 21 notice which is an eviction notice. Tenants I recommend you stay away from this company. You may end up paying for maintenance work as I had to and being evicted if you raise any concerns

Negative experience: Absolutely appalling experience from start to finish. The staff were consistently rude, dismissive, and completely uninterested in helping. Customer service was non-existent, and any concerns were met with attitude rather than solutions. The flat was in an unacceptable condition prior to move-in: the lift was broken, the bed was broken, the boiler was not working, and I was not even given the access codes to enter the building properly. This is basic, fundamental preparation that any competent letting agency should handle before handing over keys. To make matters worse, there is no out-of-hours contact, leaving tenants stranded when urgent issues arise. Once they have your money, they seem to have no interest in their responsibilities or tenant welfare. I would strongly advise anyone considering this agency to look elsewhere. This has been one of the worst renting experiences I’ve had, and I would not recommend them under any circumstances.

Negative experience: I took a property 3 months ago with them overall everything was fine at early stage but after moving to the property i faced massive problems with the boiler i reported this in the very first week they came back to me after a week and said a technician will visit me after another week two weeks after i sorted that myself again the issue appeared in second month after chasing them for couple of weeks again they sent a technician 2 weeks after for one day 1 had hot water and nothing after 3rd time i reported the issue they took 3 weeks to send a technician at my property and during that i had no hot water in my property in this cold weather i had to use gyms bathroom and was living in a miserable situation without having proper living conditions at my space overall very disappointing service by Bridgfords Manchester.

Negative experience: We began with enquiring about a listing, to which I promptly received a call from Daniel. He advised it would be a popular property and recommended we make a video viewing offer, without seeing it. We did, and it was accepted. We then organised a viewing, but when we arrived the flat was locked and Daniel had no key. Just a wasted two-hour round trip into Manchester. A second viewing went ahead and we saw the property. The flat was a good size but in a grimy state. Promises were made that this would be sorted before we moved in (spoiler alert: it wasn’t). We also didn’t notice at the time (our naivety) that the kitchen blinds were down covering a large crack, the toilet seat was up covering a cracked basin, and the made bed was hiding a blood-stained mattress. All only discovered when we moved in. Between viewing and moving day, communication was poor. We were contacted by four different people, often asking the same questions. On moving day, I even received a call from someone at Bridgfords demanding the code to the property, as their system listed us as the most recent tenants. Another “miscommunication,” something you’ll get used to with this branch. The day before moving, only my partner received a payment request (my email was entered incorrectly). We were told to pay through their portal, but I had no login details. On moving day I sat in their office for about an hour trying unsuccessfully to pay, with my bank constantly flagging the payment. Eventually Daniel strolled over, asking “You’re not stressed are you?” before casually suggesting I just pay by card. After an hour of stress, the whole process took two minutes. Once payment was made—clearly all Daniel cared about—I was told to hurry across town for the keys, just before 5pm on a Friday. On arrival, the flat was still filthy: clothes left over, rubbish in drawers, paint all over the floors. I tried to contact Daniel but never heard back. We were then told it was a “Let Only” property, so all issues had to go through the landlord. Luckily, the landlord was receptive and began correcting faults (a separate review in itself). They also told us they weren’t even informed we were moving in until hours beforehand. Yet another “miscommunication.” Unsurprisingly, Bridgfords never reached out. This review still doesn’t touch the surface of how incompetent Bridgfords have been. You never know who to contact, communication is sloppy, and they are relentlessly pushy. Daniel, after the first failed viewing, even emailed us with a smiley face and a gleeful request for a Google review. Well, here it is mate.

Negative experience: I was given a false landlord reference saying I paid 17 days late, which is untrue — I paid on time with the correct reference. This mistake cost me a property, and I only found out later what had happened. No apology was given, and Paul was incredibly arrogant and unhelpful throughout. Very disappointed.

Negative experience: Moved in 2 weeks after reporting that our fridge isn't working, no communication at all after being reported other than one email stating that it'd take 3 days (same day I raised this issue). Contacted the branch to be told there's no need for updates; agreement form says 3 days for fridge issues and now we are here on week 3. We have had to go out of our way to find out when are we getting this fridge to be told it's not ready yet with no clear timescale at all. Wish I knew who to further escalate this too as people on the phone weren't as helpful, but as property managers work within Bridgford Sales, I will assume they work under them too. Work on your communication, inform your tenants, don't leave us in the dark. 3 weeks is TOO LONG to be told it's being dealt with now. edit: Roommate is now considering buying a new fridge out of our own allowance due to this long process.

Negative experience: Very unpleasant and traumatic experience. I had rented one of Bridgfords properties and even after 1.5 month since I vacated the property, they have not returned the deposit. They did a checkout report and most of the points in the report were from the original inventory. Replied to them regarding the same, and even after a month they do not have the courtesy to respond back or even acknowledge the mail. I visited the Altrincham office, they told that it is not their department but will try to sort out the matter. They did write to the manager at this office last week but I am yet to get any sort of response back.

Negative experience: We are currently involved with a deposite dispute through countrywide. They're in the landlords back pocket. Peter Cleaver told me, that id misunderstood a SAR request and couldn't put one in to access my own information. Even though I have done and it's been completed so a scare tactic to try and settle the matter quickly. Told me I should agree to the landlords side so it can be done "and he can work on other things" Clearly not interested in being fair between landlords and tenants. Will be taking matters further
