Negative experience: I strongly caution anyone dealing with Foxtons, Oval/Vauxhall. My case was initially handled by Malika, then Joe, and finally Jibby—none provided a serious solution or managed the situation properly. From the start, I was pressured to sign the tenancy quickly. When I received the keys, the studio was in a catastrophic state: uninhabitable, uncleaned, paintwork incomplete, and promised furniture missing. The washing machine and microwave were absent despite written confirmation. Even the toilet was unusable. I was asked to personally open the door for their cleaner and supervise the work myself, effectively doing the agency’s job. I have spent almost 10 days living at friends’ places, as no alternative accommodation was offered (still not...). This experience has been extremely stressful. Foxtons failed to respect their contractual obligations, and I cannot recommend them.

Negative experience: We ve got a very unprofessional agent who set up a viewing 1 day before but cancel our viewing 10min before the rdv. I travel 1h to their office, had to take half a day off from work and was already in front of the office when he texted me. No plan b Nor c. I felt so dumb coming to their office and entrusting my time to them and I even lost a bit of money. This agency doesn't really care about their customer

Fantastic experience: Even thought I was in Italy everything went smoothly with the sale of the apartment in London. The tenants were also available for the various viewings. Foxtons also recommended a good lawyer. Everything was handled accurately online between the UK an Italy. The whole Foxtons team were fantastic especially Gabriela Atanasova.

Fantastic experience: Had a really positive experience buying through Foxtons with William as our EA. We had some delays on the seller's side which William was great at chasing and generally I felt really looked after/prioritised the whole time. Our completeion took about three months which feels like record time to me, and we were never left waiting when issues arose. Nice to have an EA who seems invested in your sale going smoothly :)

Negative experience: Where do I start! Quite a joke of an agency. They’ve so far 1. Refused to acknowledge the end of our tenancy even though this was agreed, months prior, with the landlord. 2. Attempted to bully us (the tenants) into paying a “lost fees” charge of £1700- even though this was not applicable to us, as it only applied to “unauthorised end of tenancies” of which ours was not. 3. Sent unpleasant and bullying emails to try to make us pay. 4. Weeks after we’ve moved out, have been sending us emails saying our “rent account is in arrears” as they have failed to update their systems- no doubt damaging our credit scores 5. No reply regarding return of our deposit (it has been over 21 days and counting) 6. Lost the keys after I returned them on the move out day 7. Lied about things our landlord had “said” I could go on….

Negative experience: This firm just take so much money for no work. They don't treat you well even after 10 years as a client. Every other agent is cheaper! 10% for literally nothing! Seriously Openrent has provided me same service and now I'm not paying any commission. Avoid! They are also overly legal when you question why the percentage has not reduced by the 5th year. Don't saddle yourself with this company! Read the articles out there about how they charge too much.

Fantastic experience: Justin is being absolutely amazing in helping me find my first home! He’s incredibly responsive, available when needed, and truly takes the time to listen and understand exactly what I’m looking for – I am hopeful I will find the perfect flat!

Fantastic experience: Our experience as first-time buyers with William was fantastic. Early on in the process, as he showed us different properties, he spent the time required to really understand our priorities. When a property was coming on the market that fit our criteria, he called us immediately to tell us this property checked all the boxes. We were initially sceptical — but he was absolutely right! William guided us through the offer process and, once our offer was accepted, also provided much-needed information on the way to exchange and completion, helping us coordinate all the different parties. Negative experience: Had a very negative experience as a first time buyer with Foxtons Vauxhall. I was pressured and pestered to answer calls and respond to messages when the situation at hand was being dealt with by my solicitors and I couldn’t speed anything up. They ‘took the side of the seller’ and I was simply money to them, that was clear. Incredibly pushy sales team. Felt like I was dealing with used car sales folk who had no real business acumen. Wouldn’t recommend, especially for female first time buyers. Avoid.

Fantastic experience: Had a very good experience with William at Foxtons. Unlike a lot of estate agents, he respected that it was hard to take phone calls during the work day and instead would use WhatsApp. He was very respectful in not pushing houses that we weren't too keen on and made himself very available for viewings and found really sensible properties for us. Even though we didn't go with Foxtons for our house, they served us well in the house hunting.

Negative experience: No notice before letting themselves into the flat for viewings. Cancelled our council tax account and then had a go at us for not paying council tax. Incredibly poor customer service and terrible attitude. And, we have been waiting for our deposit back for 3 months. Foxtons do not value their customers and couldn't care less about you. I've never experienced such awful customer service and I'll never use them again.

Fantastic experience: Excellent Service and Professionalism I recently had the pleasure of working with Ana Sampaio, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the level of service provided. From the very beginning, she demonstrated exceptional professionalism, taking the time to understand my needs and preferences. She was very personable and I would highly recommend her.

Negative experience: I had a highly frustrating experience with Foxtons. I was promised a callback by an agent, which never happened. I called to book a property viewing and received a confirmation text. However, when I arrived at the property, the agent failed to show up and ignored my numerous calls to their mobile. When I contacted the Vauxhall branch to address this, I was met with an incredibly dismissive and rude receptionist named Areatha. Her attitude was unprofessional and only added to my frustration. This level of service is unacceptable, and I am deeply disappointed. Foxtons needs to improve their customer service standards drastically.

At every step of the process she's been responsive, understanding and proactive at making the move possible, and even helped us move furniture into the flat. Couldn't recommend an estate agent more highly!

Negative experience: We used Foxtons as a managing agent. They managed to annoy both myself as a landlord and our tenants through dreadful communication, refusing to take accountability and general poor service. We would not recommend anyone looking to rent their property through Foxtons; their service was expensive and bad. Everything that required attention we had to step in to do as landlords, rather than the expensive managed option taking care of.

Hannah was thorough, attentive and pleasant to work with throughout the entire process from offer to completion, and worked hard to keep the process moving through the holidays and as we worked across from the sellers to complete the purchase. Fantastic experience: Gabriela was extremely helpful throughout my search. As a first time buyer, the whole process felt very daunting, but she provided tips and guidance at every stage and was always really reliable. Rather than just showing me the properties I requested to see, she learnt my preferences and was able to show me a wide range of properties based on my requirements. Showing me such a wide variety was hugely important in me figuring out what I really wanted and what was worth compromising on - after working with her I was looking at much nicer properties that I'd have never thought to look at in my initial search.

Fantastic experience: I instructed Kirsty Rowley on the sale of my townhouse in Nine Elms. I found her to be knowledgeable, personable, accommodating and extremely easy to work with. Kirsty went out of her to keep an excellent rapport throughout the sales process. I was especially impressed that Kirsty made a point of being punctual and professional in responding to emails, calls and Whatsapp messages. Once the sale had been agreed, Kirsty was kind enough to see through and act on the progression of the sale from the acceptance of the offer to completion. A personal touch which I loved! I have instructed Kirsty on the sale of another apartment which I own and which is not even in the area covered by her office. I came to this decision because I knew that I would receive excellent service and that the transaction would be managed, negotiated and completed with tact, ease and care. Overall, fantastic!

Fantastic experience: Over three years ago we chose Foxtons to rent our first property through the agency. Decision was made based on their reputation onto the market as the best one or one of the best agencies. Recently it was time to move on. With no doubt we went again to them to the Vauxhall branch to see what they can do this time for us. All I can say is that it was a good decision. After a couple of viewings, we found a property which is the one we’re looking for. Agency allocated Miss Nina to deal with our case. After Foxtons team organized video viewing and handled it with Nina and my son, we made our offer which was accepted. During the detailed viewing Nina also gave some advices to my son about renting and this flat in particular. The first time I’ve noticed Nina has a different approach to the job it was when we’ve started with referencing. We needed several assistances with the Let Alliance referencing house. I made a few mistakes in the referencing application. Instead of calling/emailing them, I’ve asked for advice from Nina. Her response was always within an hour. She didn’t just tell me what to do, she called them on behalf of me and provided solutions for each individual issue. Think Nina realized I’m struggling with some steps. Meanwhile she was in permanent contact with the landlord for our potential requirements and to synchronise the whole procedure and get to the final point, collecting keys. Doing this way, she minimizes our stressful situations caused when moving on from flat to flat. I won’t say Nina is professional because all agents are in general professionals. Nina is a passionate, dedicated, focused, and qualified person, handling with case very accurately and quickly. Nothing can take her off the rail. Once again, thank you Nina, thank you Foxtons team. You’re the best.

Negative experience: Quite possibly the worst agents I had in my 7 years of renting in the UK. To mention just a few examples: 1. They left me to live in a fly-infested flat for 4 months, it had reached a point I couldn’t even use the bathroom anymore because the infestation was so bad. 2. People had tried to break into the flat when I was away for the weekend and since then the flat’s front door was broken, no need to repair apparently! Note that the front door was on the street so very easy for anyone to access. 3. The bed was broken when I moved in and it took them several months to let me get rid of it: it had become so painful to sleep on it that I slept on the floor for weeks while begging them to let me bin this broken bed and buy myself a new one. 4. When I moved in: the contract stated the flat had been professionally cleaned yet I found human pooh on the floor of the bathroom upon my arrival. 5. The flat was supposed to be repainted before I moved in, it never was before I moved in nor during the three years I stayed in it. 6. After I left the flat in a much better state I had found it (the checkout person was surprised how beautiful the place was compared to the check in), foxtons held hostage my deposit for much longer than was legal trying the “patience game” I suppose. They tried to get deductions from it for unpaid bills from before I even moved in and for a key system they had put in place before I moved in and never used. Quite the scam I’d say. 7. They gave perfect strangers full access to my flat just because “they want to see it” without even checking if those people could actually afford the rent. My flat was advertised on their website as “open for visits 8am-8pm Monday to Sunday”. This meant I had to accommodate sometimes a dozen viewings a day at any time during my work hours and before/after, seven days a week (random visits in the middle of the weekend included!) which was of course not fair for my personal life never mind feasible because I was working. So they entered my flat while I was having video calls with clients and even when I came down with Covid they brought prospect tenants and actively made them check my bedroom entering it when I was trying to rest… note that it was also not safe to bring people who could catch covid from me! I had warned them it wasn’t appropriate never mind legal but they brought people anyway. They never asked if they could bring people they just emailed me saying “we will bring people at this time. If you’re not in the flat we have keys we will enter in your absence”. Very nice…I’m sure the agents enjoy when perfect strangers enter their flat, open their wardrobes, check their mattress in their absence! If you have the choice avoid using this agency.

Fantastic experience: My husband, our dog, and I had an excellent experience with Francesco Allegri. We had the challenge of finding a place to rent in a good location, with nearby green areas, easy commuting, and pet-friendly, all in record time. Francesco assisted us throughout the process and was precise in showing us places that truly matched what we were looking for. He was very helpful, showing us the surroundings and introducing us to the neighborhood. It made a significant difference in our decision-making. We quickly found our apartment. In general, the entire process and service from Foxtons were very good, clear, and efficient. We recommend their services.

I didn't know that LT assigns an estate agent to a potential buyer rather than by property, so I feel reassured that when Irina took an interest in asking what I was looking for, it was because she will be using that info to find me properties that suit me. Fantastic experience: I had an excellent experience with Joseph, with my first flat purchase. Compared to the three or four other agents I had viewings with during my search, Joseph was easily the best: not being too pushy, proactively organising flat viewings with me, great knowledge of the area having lived here for many years. Once offer was made, it was reassuring to have Joseph as my agent - clear he knew the process and helped make the process go through smoothly and quickly. He deserves a sizable bonus!

Fantastic experience: I had a viewing for a property with Hannah last weekend. While the property isn't one I'm going to go ahead with, I wanted to thank Hannah for her fantastic support.
