My dealings with Leaders Forest Hill has so far been really positive, and Selwyn (my main contact there) has been great, and has made the whole process much more pleasant than I thought it would be

Negative experience: I have been 5 yrs with the Leaders in Nottingham. Recently they have made so many error managing my property. To Leaders, their errors are not a breach of contract where misinformation, mishandling of my account constitutes as errors!! Because of their error I am liable to pay termination fees!! They make mistakes and I have to pay. Interesting isn't it.

He was helpful and very quick to respond to my enquiry about the flat I was interested recently. Unfortunately that fell through and the flat was no longer available. Selwyn kept my details and preferences to try and help me find the property I'm looking for and I’m sure he’ll be able to help me soon.

Negative experience: Selwyn was really knowledgeable and lovely when he showed us the flat in 2022. Sadly during our years renting with them they've misplaced our rent on several occasions, causing the landlord to chase us for it which caused unnecessary stress. We've now moved out and are still chasing our deposit back after a month.

Negative experience: My partner and I had a great experience finding a flat with Leaders Estate Agents Forest Hill. James, who was our letting agent, had a professional and friendly manner. He communicated honestly with us from the start, responded to emails promptly, and was efficient at chasing up progress on the works due to be done on the flat prior to our move. All the relevant and legal paperwork was sent and easily completed. TrustPilot reviews for Leaders UK in general are quite worrying, but I can confirm that the service we received from the Forest Hill branch was excellent and the staff courteous. Thanks James! EDIT (6 months after moving in): While we had a great experience with James finding our flat, our experience with the allocated Property Manager has not been as satisfactory - quite disappointing actually. Not much proactivity shown in solving emerging issues with our flat. Poor communication: our emails being ignored for days, us having to chase queries up by email, or by calling over a number of months about overdue reimbursement (often to be told someone will call us back, which never happened). We have had to go to the office in person twice to speak to a manager and finally resolve a situation. We rented the flat fully aware that it needed work but was deemed perfectly safe by the council. However when issues quickly escalated shortly after us moving in, the situation was often lazily handled by our property manager. We have a more reactive, helpful relationship with our landlord, which is a shame since Leaders is supposed to be the middle man. (This knocks down 2 out of our initial 5 stars)
