Fantastic experience: Having just exchanged on our first property my wife and I were very impressed with Paramount from a buyers perspective. We had a previous purchase fall through last year and the difference between the estate agents in that case and Paramount was night and day. We initially dealt with Reuben when booking a viewing of the property, he was very quick to get us in and we were not rushed at all while viewing. We clearly loved it and made an offer the same day. Paramount then put the pedal to the metal and before we knew it our offer was accepted. We then dealt with Jamie, who was very switched on throughout the process and very proactive. They assigned us Helen who was available via WhatsApp on a daily basis. The whole team from paramount was very communicative and transparent. They worked hard to get us and the seller over the line and we had a good experience as first time buyers. The buying process in England is not straightforward, but it was made much more seamless with the work put in by the EA in our case. When we are looking to sell and buy again they will definitely be my first call.

Fantastic experience: This is from the perspective of a tenant who lived for 2 years in a flat in a converted period house, professionally managed by Paramount. I was in another city and I hadn’t been able to view the flat before moving in. The flat was however very true to what was advertised – I was glad to have made my decision based on the video and description they put on the ad. The contract was a transparent and well-balanced one according to my experience – good enough to protect the landlord’s property but not overly landlord leaning, which is fair to me as a tenant. Paramount has a reliable network of contractors/cleaners/engineers to deal with the ongoing maintenance of the property. There was an occasion when leaking happen from my flat and I was out of town, having left with Paramount no spare key as I changed the lock previously. They somehow worked out a solution without my presence which protected the benefit of both the landlord and tenant in an efficient manner. Paramount offers an emergency hotline which is responsive and helpful. There was a time I locked myself out and another time the smoke alarm inside the flat was mistakenly triggered – both situations were immediately answered. They are flexible to accommodate adjustments which made my life a lot easier when sorting the moves – date for monthly payment, changes made to move-out date and the associated adjustment on rent, etc. – all effectively communicated (although you might expect to take a closer look in certain calculation at times). They also care to collect feedback from the tenant for personal view about the property and improvement advice when moving out. I’ve also got my deposit refunded within a reasonable timeframe. From viewing to contract signing, from daily experience to moving out – I would say everyone at Paramount are responsive and respectful. A few caring and humane company I could have come across in this city. I have recommended Paramount to my colleague who might need someone to take care of his vacant family home.

Fantastic experience: Property Manager Joan was incredibly responsive and had a plumber at my flat within an hour to fix a boiler issue, resolving everything efficiently and making the whole experience smooth and stress‑free.

Negative experience: I was extremely disappointed with my experience with Paramount during the check-out of my last apartment, specifically in relation to how my deposit dispute was handled. The landlady initially attempted to retain almost half of our deposit for a range of claims that we strongly disagreed with. We formally disputed these deductions through the deposit protection scheme. During this process, I received a personal email from Alessandro at Paramount which felt highly inappropriate and unprofessional. Rather than acting as a neutral intermediary, the tone of the message appeared to pressure us into settling, suggesting that the landlord would likely “win” if the matter went to court. This came across as intimidating and undermined trust in Paramount’s role as a fair managing agent. Ultimately, the dispute was resolved fully in our favour, with only a very small amount deducted — a fraction of what the landlady had initially tried to claim and Paramount was backing up. This outcome clearly demonstrated that the original claims were excessive. This experience left me with little confidence in Paramount’s impartiality or tenant advocacy. I would personally avoid working with them again and would advise others to be cautious when it comes to deposit matters.

Positive experience: Had a good experience with their sales agents (didn’t buy with them, not their fault), however the renovation service advertised is very odd - takes ages to get a quote, strange and incomplete input, generally wouldn’t recommend spending time on it

Negative experience: I collected the keys to my flat on 28th November and immediately raised several issues at check-in, all of which were noted on the inventory. These included a damaged bath panel with flies circulating, missing silicone around the bath, dead insects on the blinds, a loose toilet seat, and other basic defects. To be clear, this is not a reflection of the landlord, who I am confident is not aware of these issues. The property itself is lovely, and the problem lies entirely with the letting agency’s handling and communication. Nearly three weeks later, these issues are still not fully resolved. I have had to chase repeatedly for updates, received inconsistent information, and have not been contacted by contractors despite clearly confirming via email several times no one has been in touch and I would like the agency to handle the contractor including access to the flat etc. I was also informed internally that there were no outstanding jobs logged, which is extremely concerning. What has been particularly disappointing is the inconsistency in communication. Prior to moving in, I was contacted daily for updates despite asking for some space as I was grieving, no space was given. Business is business...However, once urgent issues were flagged at check-in on the same day, communication slowed significantly and I was left to chase repeatedly. It is also concerning that these matters have been referred to as “decorative” issues, when they clearly involve hygiene - I did not realise that flies circulating within a property would be considered a decorative matter. You can also clearly see there is a hair on the board so not sure what cleaning took place... This is not about general cleaning; it is about the condition the property was handed over in and the lack of urgency in addressing straightforward issues, God forbid a more serious issue occurs I don't have faith that things will get handled appropriately. For a reputable letting agency, this level of service is unacceptable. I would not recommend Paramount Properties based on my experience so far. I am still waiting for an update regarding rent reimbursement and hoping this issue gets resolved promptly before Christmas as it seems the agency has been stalling..not sure why but my next steps will be to get in touch with the landlord as this is appalling and incredibly stressful to deal with.

The work included replacing all existing flooring with new wooden floors, installing a brand new kitchen, building custom wardrobes in all bedrooms for which they created bespoke dark wood-stained doors, fitting new light fixtures and repainting the entire apartment. The project was well-managed from start to finish. Communication was consistent, costs were transparent, and any variations were clearly outlined and approved in advance. The team were great to work with and most importantly delivered the work within the agreed timeline, which is rare for projects of this scale. Fantastic experience: It was our first time renting a flat in London, and we're glad we did it with Paramount. Back in 2020, Ollie was very nice and professional during our viewings, and also when the time came to put in an offer for the one we liked. He and Katie were also very efficient and helpful helping us navigate London's renting process —very useful for first time renters like us! When we moved in into the flat, there were a number of small things in the apartment that need to be fixed. Paramount's team, including a great contractor (Naresh), tended to them within a few days. We have been in this place for 5 years now and despite the typical issues of a London flat (oh those charming old houses), the team at Paramount were always very kind and helpful helping as issues arose —Special shout out to Sandro for this! Overall a very good experience; thank you to the entire team!

Fantastic experience: Amazing experience. They are one of a kind, nowhere near any other experience we had with other estate agencies.
