Negative experience: Unfortunately, my experience with this agency has been disappointing. Despite completing all paperwork, references, and paying the holding deposit within a couple of days of the viewing and offer, communication was poor throughout. I regularly had to chase for updates, often every few days. A move-in date was agreed, and I began packing and booked a removal company after being reassured that the contract was imminent and that there were no changes to the agreed timeline. However, due to landlord compliance issues, the contract was issued very late and the move-in date was delayed by a week. This caused significant pressure, as my notice period was already close to ending. While some fixes requested as part of the offer were technically carried out by the landlord, they were poorly executed. At key collection, the landlord also flagged additional issues with the property, including a non-working bathroom heater, a dirty drawer with an oily residue under the bed, and a broken kitchen sink handle. These issues were downplayed, with no clear intention to resolve them. The property was also let in a condition that appears unsafe/uninhabitable due to damp issues and potential electrical hazards and key agreed items were not provided. When I raised these concerns, I was told by the agency that the property is managed directly by the landlord and that I would need to deal with him directly. I find it frustrating that keys were handed over for a property already known to have multiple issues, without the agency having ensured the flat was in appropriate condition at move-in. I was also asked to pay a high penalty fee if I decided for an early termination despite the condition of the flat. I had hoped to use this agency in the future to purchase a property, but given this experience, I will be relying on other agencies to avoid similar issues.
