He drove us around to view each one and was very well informed on each location which was super helpful in our decision making. Definitely recommend!

Negative experience: We moved into a short-term let on Saturday and have had issues from the outset. The kitchen hob is still unusable 6 days into our tenancy, despite being promised it would be fixed asap, and communication from Foxtons has been consistently poor. I rearranged an important meeting after being told an appliance company would attend in the morning on Tuesday, only to find out they had never been booked. The following day, an engineer was supposedly coming to check both the hob and a broken dryer, yet again there was no confirmation, no update, and no clarity on whether the hob is now safe to use. On arrival, the fridge contained mouldy food and there was wet, foul-smelling washing left in the washing machine. We have nowhere to put it and cannot dry it as the dryer does not work. Short-term lets are expensive, and you expect a much higher standard and faster resolution of issues for the money. With a toddler, being without basic kitchen facilities is completely impractical. This experience has been extremely disappointing, and I would not recommend renting with Foxtons

Fantastic experience: My partner and I had an amazing experience working with Grace Sinnott at Foxtons, who helped us buy our home. We were first time buyers and were quite anxious about the process, but Grace really put us at ease- she linked us up with a solicitor and fantastic mortgage advisor, which was a huge help. She was also incredibly responsive, kind and understanding throughout. I would highly recommend working with her.

Fantastic experience: I just purchased a flat from Foxtons and was very impressed by their agent Zack Dodgson throughout the sale process. I found him to be not only excellent at his job, but also a pleasure to do business with. In particular, Zack was: - Incredibly knowledgable about property generally as well as the Islington area; - Oversaw the entire process end-to-end from initial viewing to handover of keys; - Was responsive at all times and extremely proactive in moving the conveyancing along; - Displayed excellent tact with the seller and great communication skills throughout; and - Was simply a joy to work with - I always felt comfortable and in good hands, which is so important when making an investment as big as a home purchase. In my opinion, Zack went over and above. In my extensive experience of dealing with estate agents in the London area, I have never had such a positive experience before. Thank you!

Negative experience: This is one of the worst customer experiences we had moving into our new apartment. The day we had agreed to move in as per our agreement the flat had not been cleaned since the previous tenant, repairs had not been made where needed and we could not reach our agent to get the keys which also were unavailable to us. In addition to this the street the apartment is located was closed due to a football match, imperative information for new tenants on move in day. We had paid for mover's and car rentals to get our belongings into the property which all had to be re-scheduled and resulted in us paying more than double to re-arrange. No one at the office was able to help us. We eventually accessed the property to find there were so many issues, left over rubbish by the previous tenant, the end of tenancy clean, was surface level at best. We have tried repeatedly to contact and receive compensation for what was a truly horrendous experience. Avoid this office if you can, no one takes any responsibility and just passes blame off to another employee.

He was also a great sounding board through a very stressful process. Thank you Zack!

Negative experience: I want to warn anyone considering using Foxtons – Islington Branch. In my personal experience, they were far from transparent and relied heavily on pressure tactics and manipulation throughout the process. After my offer was accepted, I was bombarded with constant pressure — being told about “cash buyers” and “higher competing offers” in a way that felt more like mind games than professional negotiation. Other reputable agencies I’ve worked with never disclose such details because they know the damage it can cause. Despite my surveyor being ready, it took three weeks for Foxtons to provide access. They claimed they couldn’t locate the extended storage key — even though they had made the same excuse during my viewing and promised it would be sorted by the time the survey happened. They clearly didn’t even know which key belonged to which property. That alone shows a worrying level of incompetence. I had to travel for a funeral during this time, and instead of supporting the timeline, they pushed aggressively for an earlier exchange — obviously chasing their Christmas commission rather than caring about the actual transaction. Meanwhile, I spent over £2,000 on my surveyor, broker, and solicitor. For nearly a month, Foxtons failed to even instruct the seller’s solicitor properly. They ignored us for almost three weeks — complete radio silence — and then suddenly claimed that the seller had pulled out. A disgraceful way to treat serious buyers who are putting real money and trust into the process. Be cautious if you choose to deal with Foxtons Islington. They did not communicate openly, they did not act responsibly, and at no point did they make me feel like my best interests mattered. I would never work with them again.

Fantastic experience: Charlotte took me around some great flats and really helped me see the potential in a lovely flat. She was amazing throughout the entire ordeal answering any questions I had at any time and helped speed things along and keep everyone on track in what was a very tough and stressful process.

Fantastic experience: My friend and I had been looking for a new flat for a while by the time we got into contact with Foxtons about a property. Soon after, I got a call from Denna (Iardena), where she offered to show us a flat the very next day. The flat was exactly what we were looking for, and she quickly drove me back to the office so we could put an offer down. Our offer was then accepted within the hour, and the rest of the referencing and deposit process went smoothly thanks to her! She helped us get a great deal, and was the polar opposite of staff from other agencies which we had had poor experiences with. She did not try to convince us we needed to offer over the asking price or an earlier date than we were comfortable with. There was none of the pressure I've felt throughout my flat search from other agents. Honestly, it was such a breath of fresh air after being ignored and lied to by other agencies (why is it so hard to find a 2-bed flat that actually has 2 beds in it!) She was extremely friendly, helpful and honest, and we can't thank her enough for helping us find a place!

Negative experience: I have never been treated so poorly by an estate agent than at Foxtons Islington. We came in on a Saturday to register for a rental property and was met by a rude individual who essentially told us our budget wasn’t sufficient for their inventory. If this is the case, that’s fair enough, but she treated us like lesser people than her and made us feel very unwelcome in the office. This awkward conversation went on and I walked out feeling very deflated. This isn’t how you treat potential clients and I would not recommend them at all. Perhaps have a nicer member of staff present on a Saturday.

Fantastic experience: Whilst Foxtons do appear to charge a premium on their fees relative to the market which made me hesitant to appoint them in the first instance, Ketan and his team were persistent in convincing me that they would deliver on the asking price I wanted for the letting and within the tight timeframe (2 weeks). Admittedly I was sceptical, but he and Rebecca have proved me wrong and have delivered exactly what was asked for. The Foxtons portal / platform is also very user friendly which has enabled me to review and sign docs at the right time whilst being on an entirely different timezone. Overall a seamless experience and I look forward to holding them to that high standard when I next work with them.

Negative experience: Absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional experience from start to finish. Everything began on March 24th, when my colleague and I approached this agency—well-known across London—expecting a smooth and professional service. I viewed three properties with an agent and immediately decided to proceed with one of them. I paid a significant upfront amount (deposit + initial rent) to secure the property. From that point, things quickly went downhill. We were asked to provide documentation via a third-party referencing platform they work with, which we did within 2 working days. My application was approved quickly, but my flatmate's status was left in limbo. It took a full week and repeated chasing just to find out more documents were needed. We explained upfront that a payslip would be delayed due to our company's schedule, and once it was uploaded, we waited... again. On April 11, I was told out of the blue that my flatmate was rejected—but no reason was provided, either by the agency or the referencing company (who refused to explain their decision after multiple calls). The agent then suggested I take the entire tenancy on myself if I could prove adequate funds, which I did — including a full bank statement and even offering to pay a year upfront. They also contacted my project manager, but the verification link they sent was broken, and despite my manager informing them, they did nothing to resolve it. Communication throughout this entire process was abysmal. Messages were ignored, emails went unanswered, and I was left chasing them constantly for updates. While on a business trip, a colleague physically went to the branch to find out what was going on — only then did I learn that I, too, had been rejected. Again, no explanation was given. Even the branch manager could not clarify why and simply told me to wait up to 5 working days for a refund. This process dragged on for three frustrating weeks and could have easily been resolved within days. The lack of transparency, professionalism, and basic communication from this agency is beyond disappointing—especially considering the sums of money involved. I would strongly advise others to think twice before trusting this agency with something as important as securing a home.

Fantastic experience: Had a great experience with Lardena (Denna) Andreican, who after months of looking finally helped me find a flat !! She was extremely personable and kind, and knowledgeable about the flats we saw and what was realistic for me and my situation. Thanks Denna for all of your help!

Negative experience: Poor customer service; estate agent was running 30 min behind and couldn't be bothered to let us know that he was going to be late. He then tried to gaslight me into thinking that I had scheduled our appointment for a different time. If you can't trust someone to tell you the truth about an appointment, you can't trust them to tell you the truth about the flats they're showing you. Would not recommend working with them.

Fantastic experience: Sold my terraced house using Foxtons Islington, Chris Jones and Mehdadul Kazi did an amazing job and sold it literally in weeks. There were some frustrating situations caused by the buyers solicitor but Meds handled the whole situation like a diplomat and got the sale through the door, even dealing with some stress/pressure I had put on the sale. A big thank you to Meds and Chris for their excellent work and diplomatic approach, true experts in their area.
