Negative experience: Seedy rundown organisation, random person answers phone loads of background noise, like a party ongoing. Mumbles, asks for private and personal information, then dissappear. I recall when this company was top notch, times clearly change.

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend this management highly enough. Our previous management company went bankrupt and Rob could not have been more helpful. He spent an hour on the phone talking me through everything I needed to do to get things in order and this is before we even agreed to move across to him. Rob has always been friendly, personable, helpful and calm and helped get everything back on track as quickly as possible. There have also been issues with regards to how the block was being maintained and he has sorted it all out. On top of this I recently went through the process of selling my flat which is due to go through anyway. He got everything that was needed to the conveyancer in a matter of days, he was quick to respond to all enquiries and when I emailed him at the end of the day asking for an updated statement he sent it through at 6am the following day to ensure no delays. I am so grateful to Rob and his team, it has restored all my confidence in management companies and would recommend Scott and Castle to anyone looking for one. Thank you to you all.

From day 1 Rob Scott took control and ensured that all matters concerning the building maintenance, fire and safety conformity, legal and insurance matters were correctly addressed. Toby was very unhelpful when trying to find a property, told us that the landlord is looking for a rental reference which we didn’t have due to being first time renters.. why was this not stated in description? Anyway , not an issue but had no interest in finding or offering us something else. You won’t have our business… disappointing

Fantastic experience: I rented a bedsit from them for 3 years. When I moved in the carpet was shabby so they fitted a new carpet for me. When the shower needed repairing they put me up at a travelodge at no expense while the work was being done as I work nights and need to sleep during the day. Not many letting agents would do that. I found scott castle very helpful to me.

Rob is friendly, easy to communicate with and feel confident that our block is being taken care of. This has been a welcome change from other management agents to date!

Communication has always been excellent, the family have always been friendly and approachable; readily available to listen to and respond to any queries. Have never been charged an unreasonable fee as many estate agents do! Always get plenty of notice for any property checks which are never intrusive and only when necessary. Would recommend entirely.

Any issues were always dealt with swiftly and efficiently. I can honestly say that I would 100% recommend Scott Castle as from the very first contact with Rob 8 years ago they have always provided excellent service and have always been very friendly. Unfortunately the landlords of my flat have decided to change management companies and the new company immediately made me feel unwelcome and are very unprofessional so I am going to look at the option of moving and if Scott Castle have a suitable property available I will not hesitate to go back to them.

Fantastic experience: Scott castle have been great during my tenancy. If there was an issue, they responded fast to fix the problem. When I came to move out I had trouble getting my tumble dryer out and Rob the owner came and helped, delivering the tumble to my new address. So far we are extremely satisfied with the service we have received. Very helpful, approachable and friendly staff. Having dealt and even worked in other letting agency’s this company really do care for both the landlords and tenants and are not greedy for all your worth. They will go the extra mile if needed and have very reasonable rents which is rare to find these days.

Negative experience: highly rude staff, 4 staff on duty at the time i visited 2 sat drinking hot drinks one female staff talking to a colleague about her plans for the weekend to another female staff member, one gent sat playing on his phone the other gent was just sat staring at his phone. Waited around 10 minutes before getting the attention of a member of staff as they failed to notice myself and 4 other people waiting

Negative experience: Useless, not trustworthy. Communication is awful and the management/ownership is incredibly unprofessional. They take no responsibility for the issues they cause to their customers. They made me loose over £1000 and Ruth, the owner simply declared that it wasn't her problem and shouted in the phone to me like a teenager, not one professional word or helpful resolution. Clearly she has no clue about how to run a fair business, only cares about her money... Please do not risk and go to an agency who is trustworthy and takes responsibility for whatever they agreed on with you. They also kept lying about the new property that I was going to rent from them just to keep me in their hand as a potential tenant... it was not ready to move in by the arranged date and they got someone else move in while we already had an agreement and I paid already... Shame they're still on the market....

I spoke with Rob from Scott Castle and he arranged to get some specialised contractors on site immediately to rectify the issue. Rob was very well mannered and sounded genuinely concerned for my problem and knew what he was talking about. I could not be happier with the service from all the team at Scott Castle, they have always helped in the past and I know I can rely on them in future if I need their help and expertise during office and out of hours! Negative experience: I would have given no stars if I could. After being loyal tenants for 18years never asking for anything, they showed us no loyalty back. In fact they took a £500 deposit from us saying it was used for rent in advance, that was a lie and then evicted us for redevelopment. They then kicked us in the teeth yet again charging us over £450 in court costs to lose our home through no fault of ours. Katrina also laughed at us as we left court. Very unprofessional and yes they have robbed us

Fantastic experience: I have lived in a 3/4 bedroom property in Pokesdown for the last 3 years, let through Scott Castle. I have rented for over 15 years in Bournemouth and have to say that for me Scott Castle are the best Agents I have dealt with to date. I have had a few issues at the property to do with maintenance ie Hot water issues, windows leaking... and every time I have contacted them, I received a response within 30 minutes and a tradesman has been booked. I had to hand in my notice this week, as circumstances have changed for me and I now need a larger home. The new home I am moving too had to be let within 2 weeks so I was unable to give a full months notice. I went to the office this morning really worried about having to tell them, yet Rob could not have been more helpful. He paved the way for me with the landlord, who agreed to let me out of my tenancy early with no financial impact. I have had a very positive 3 years with this agent and would not hesitate to recommend them and i would definitely let through them again, should I ever need to.

Negative experience: DO NOT use this letting agent!!!! Ruth Scott that works behind the desk thinks she's allowed to play god and decide whether she wants to let you move into the property or not even with good references and a guarantor. I was told on the Tuesday by Kirsty that my references were fine and everything was going through then on the Wednesday I received a call from RUTH to double check things on my reference during this call she was very rude and accused me of lying 3 times, so I became abrupt back. Then the next day i received another call from RUTH saying they are no longer going through with the move as my reference wasn't good enough! I tried on several occasions to contact Kirsty to try and get an explanation but RUTH wouldn't let me talk to her and wouldn't explain what was wrong with my reference!! So now thanks to RUTH in 2 weeks time me and my 4 month old baby have nowhere to live!!!
