Fantastic experience: We used St Quintin to sell a 2-bedroom property in Ferndown in Q2-2026. They managed to find a suitable buyer quickly who offered reasonably close to the asking price (in a buyers' market). The sale completed around 3 months from property being marketed. SQ gave good advice at the beginning and we liked the experience of the whole team which drew us to using them. We would use them again to sell a property.

I had several estate agents value the property, I chose to go with St Quintin , not because they valued at the top end, but because they gave honest and forthright advice. In the event I was right to choose this firm. They were just brilliant at keeping me informed , I live over 100 miles from the property they were selling, so communication was really important to me. Their advice on prospective buyers was also very helpful, cash buyers or buyers in a chain. When I had accepted an offer, Alicia, who is their office manager, and deals with progressing sales, was magnificent! High praise, but I stand by it. Alicia, kept me informed, chased buyers solicitor, kept up with my solicitor, and moved things along . In all this was the most stress free sale I have ever experienced! I think this company is head and shoulders above some others I have dealt with in the past. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Fantastic experience: Great estate agents! Buying our first property was a very easy and calm experiencing via St Quintin in Ferndown. Becky was lovely, easy to talk to during viewings and not pushy at all. John helped us with some solicitor difficulties and nothing was ever too much trouble for either of them. They made sure that we knew they were only a phone call away if we needed them and made the process a lot less scary as first time buyers. Would definitely highly recommend and will be using them again in the future

Negative experience: I used St Quintin to market and manage a property I was renting out. Alarm bells starting ringing when they moved a tenant in with out getting them to sign a tenancy agreement. When the tenant moved out no inventory documents were supplied and on inspection of the property the blinds were broken in both the living room and bedroom. When I decided to sell the property I used St Quintin again, they listed the property at a price that I was concerned was too high. After months of no interest they reduced the sale price of the property, which I felt was the right thing to do but they did not discuss it with me first!

Negative experience: I would definitely NOT recommend St Quintin in Ferndown, wholly due to Ben Clark the manager. As the seller of my home in Ferndown I received an appalling service from Ben Clark the manager. I had no choice in having to pay them their large fee as the seller, but they definitely didn’t do much to earn it. They didn’t do much chasing along a long chain and even when I specifically asked Ben Clark the manager to make a phone call to chase he failed to do it. Ben the manager was unhelpful about giving others access to my home when I asked for help (isn’t that the job of an estate agent?) Ben Clark the manager is also confused about the client relationship- he was supposed to be MY agent as I was the seller, and I had to pay his fee. But instead Ben only looked after my purchaser, which was bizarre as the purchaser never paid him a penny in fees. Astonishingly Ben Clark the manager also doesn’t seem to understand the concept of completion- on the day of completion he asked me to release my keys to my purchaser even though I had NOT received my completion monies! Specifically against my solicitors advice. There was an appalling 5 hours delay for completion, which was caused by my purchaser which (as usual) Ben didn’t do much to progress. Definitely stay away from Ben Clark St Quintin is my recommendation, I wished I’d chosen one of the other estate agents in Ferndown. I might have actually received some service for the large fee I had to pay! I have only given them one star because there is no option to give zero.

Negative experience: Truly dreadful service, not worth one star. Over 2.5 weeks, messages left for both Belinda and Ben, the manager, in connection with land for sale. Neither has ever phoned back. Receptionist says that Ben is so busy being out of the office that he's always on the phone when back in the office. This is no way to run a business. End of enquiry for me. No faith at all. I feel sorry for their vendors who are losing potential buyers I have just (after 7 months) seen a response from this company which is ABSOLUTELY UNTRUE. What is stated above is the truth and AT NO POINT did we receive a phone call from them. We had no interest whatsover in building, our enquiry was solely to purchase land for recreational purposes. Suggest there is now even more reason not to trust this business.

Fantastic experience: I carry out the cleaning work on the lets, for Ben and his team and they do a great job. They are friendly and a pleasure to deal with.

Negative experience: Terrible service. Take forever to get back to you with a response after enquiring about a viewing. Asking for a 5pm onwards viewing as I work in the day and being met with a response “I don’t think people realise we have homes to go”. If you’re advertising a flat for working professionals surely this is what you would expect! Also for not telling me the viewing was cancelled!! When I ring to find out not even an apology! Bad attitude from all I’ve spoken to. Shocking service absolutely terrible do not waste your time with this joke of an estate agency.

Negative experience: Worst service ever. Not even worth one star. We paid the fees with more than one month in advanced and they cancelled everything at last minute. We tried to contact them several times, and they were very evasive and disrespectful. Never replied back. I definitely won't recommend them.

Negative experience: VERY poor service!! I contacted St Quintin to view a property to rent, they PENCILED ME IN for an appointment at their "earliest convenience" (5 days after enquiry) and said that I would be one of the first to view. They never called me back to confirm the appointment so I called the morning of the viewing only to be told that someone else had viewed the property 2 days prior and it was now gone. I would recommend everyone steer clear, it's company's like this one that give others such a bad name. As a business owner I very much hope they are not around for much longer!

I have found the service to be be both professional and friendly throughout . Communication is excellent and I would not hesitate to recommend both their rental and sales department

Negative experience: It's no wonder all the other estate agents warn you off his particular agent. They won't stop calling you after you make one call and once you ask them to remove the property as seriously it was not in our interest to sell at that time, they say it will take a couple of days to remove. Asked the same for the other agents and it takes them 5 minutes. They then relist the property without my permission and tell me it will take another 2 days to remove when I did eventually relist after Christmas with other agents. A cowboy of a company and should really avoid at all costs. I'm sure they have come from window sales backgrounds from the sales technique they use. It's no wonder they have a bad reputation. Complained to rightmove.

Fantastic experience: The lettings team worked really hard to find suitable tenants for our property. They were totally professional, diligent and kept us informed at every stage of the process. They worked particularly well from the time the new tenants agreed to the property to them moving in - a time span of only 48 hours ! It certainly was a challenge , but they rose to the occasion magnificently, were in total control throughout,bringing to bear a total calming effect on the process but best of all they delivered on time! No wonder they are the number 1 letting agents in Ferndown - an accolade which is truly deserved . Well done and Thank you

We had an offer accepted solicitors involved , then found property was sold to someone else, totally unethical and cost us time and money... Please read below, this is not the first time this has happened,, Dealt with Ben the manager. If he does this what are the staff like ?

Negative experience: I can't say I am surprised that the flat I was interested in renting has been on the market for 2 months. I first called to speak to someone at 12 noon today. I was told the lettings manager was on the phone. I called again at 12.45pm - and was told she was STILL on the phone! But that he, Lucas, would make sure she would phone me a.s.a.p. It is now 4pm and I give up! A lack of 'service' like this is what is turning the U.K. into a third world country. Estate agents like these really should travel to the Far East to understand about service and efficiency. (I pity the poor owner of the flat in question).
