Negative experience: My mum always used to say, “never trust an estate agent”, now I understand why! From start to finish we were told lie after lie and when we called Carrie White out for it she refused to give us any updates!! An extremely unpleasant and stressful process which was totally unnecessary and avoidable. Unprofessional and quite frankly disgraceful service from everyone from this particular office. I would certainly think twice if you are thinking of using this agent to either buy or sell your property.

Having tried a number of different Estate Agents from the local area I can honestly say that Meyers have been in a different league to the others. Fantastic experience: We wanted to view a particular property with Meyers but couldn’t get access as the vendors were on holiday. However, Freya booked us in to view another property in the same area which was about to come to market. It wasn’t necessarily what we would have viewed ourselves but as we were already out with Freya that day on other viewings, it made sense to look. We are so glad she brought it to our attention as it totally shocked and surprised us and we put an offer in on it the same day. Freya was very impressive as an Agent and we couldn’t believe that she was relatively new to the profession. She impressed us with her care for the Vendors and for us as potential buyers and her enthusiasm for what she’s doing. Nothing was too much trouble and she was willing to stay late in order for us to follow up with a 2nd viewing the next day. Positive experience: Perfect to work with and gave us a congratulatory package and thanks upon "completion" of our new home. 1 downside is the guy who showed us the place, he flat out lied to my face and said the floors/downstairs ceiling was soundproofed, i confirmed with downstairs recently tht only the kitchen floor was soundproofed, not the whole buildings floor/ceiling as he told us.

Negative experience: Awful establishment. Horrific about their staff. The manager Carrie if you can even call her a manager is atrocious and rude. Don’t use these people. Liars and rude!!!

Positive experience: Couldn't get the correct information with the filters used. I asked for properties between £200,000 and £400,000 and kept being shown properties over 2 million not very helpful.

The professionalism and friendly nature of all the staff I dealt with at Meyer's helped make this process as straight-forward as possible and hassle free. In particular, Carrie's dedication to the job really helped. She would always keep me in the loop, often when she was not obliged to, which really helped me know where I was with things during the sale. No query was left unanswered and it seemed nothing was too much for her and the team to help me out with. Lottie was also so helpful and friendly throughout the process. Fantastic experience: No doubt there's a part in all of us who would like to believe our house is worth a fortune (relatively speaking). Unfortunately this tendency is then bolstered by the majority of estate agents who tend to 'exaggerate' YOUR valuation - and of course before you know it you've signed on the dotted line, your house is in THEIR shop window/website and your quickly left dreaming (yet again) of spending said 'fortune'. Experience eventually taught us (and I'm sure for many of you already) that fooling ourselves (and being fooled) only led/leads to month after month of either no viewings or indeed viewings by people who simply couldn't afford it (£80k below the asking price comes to mind) or by those who simply wanted to have a 'nose'. As such, and on this occasion, we were absolutely determined to avoid endless and always very disappointing viewings that inevitably led to those unwarranted cleaning frenzies whereby the throwing of kids and pets over fences became the norm. And so to our amazement we actually found an estate agent that is like no other (and I'm not exaggerating); that being - Meyers Estate Agents. It was like a breath of fresh air when I first met Dave because from start to finish I knew I was dealing with a real professional - his market/subject knowledge was above and beyond any other and my wife and I knew we'd found 'the one' because he not only spoke politely and with an open and honest approach but of course most importantly, he didn't 'exaggerate' our valuation. It was a realistic, dare I say perfect valuation because iwe ended up with more than we thought we'd get. I would like to add that we had zero 'time-wasters' throughout the whole process. If there was any 'bad news' Dave would promptly and honestly tell us how it was. He would give advice and update us regularly. He always found a solution to any issue that arose. Chris is a fantastic person and salesman, and indeed anyone we spoke to were always extremely helpful. And finally... when anyone from Meyers said they would call us back...they would actually call us back (other estate agents please take note). They have that personal touch which I think is lacking in a lot of these estate agents, it can be very stressful time selling and buying houses but James and the Meyers team as a whole always made us feel looked after, genuinely cared for and supported. We used a few other estate agents in the past to sell our house and they we’re rubbish in comparison to Meyers and I can genuinely say I would never recommend any other estate agent other than Meyers to anyone. If you have a busy working life but need an estate agent that’s flexible and contactable at anytime or a first time buyer that needs an estate agent that you can trust and guide you on your way or if your a family that find the whole process of looking at house with young children very stressful (like we did) but want an agent that will help you rather than thinking the whole process is just as much of a nightmare as you do or if your an older person who finds the whole process of selling your family home that you’ve built memories on emotional and daunting but need an estate agent that’s going to understand this and give you the support you need then look no further then Meyers, they really are the best in the business and with competitive rates, you really can’t go wrong. Fantastic experience: We bought our first property from Meyers, completing last week. The process took just over 4 months due to various issues in the chain but James was very helpful throughout and was always available to handle any questions via phone or email. We always felt that through James we had an open communication channel with our sellers which was important to us. We’d been told the horror stories about the typical Estate Agent in the past but after dealing with James for our first property purchase we couldn’t have asked for any better and will be calling Meyers if and when we decide to move on in the future. Fantastic experience: We purchased a property advertised by Meyers. David was brilliant throughout the process. I hope the vendor appreciates his hard work and efforts. Unfortunately our solicitors were useless, and he did his utmost to help where he could, liaising with the sellers solicitors telling us what we could do etc. After a stressful few months we completed!! After moving in to the property, we had a few cosmetic problems (understandably as a new build). Even though Meyers legally no longer had interest in the property, Dave still helped us sort the issues! Highly recommend!!

Over the last 12-18 months we have experienced a lot of the local estate agent in Southbourne/Bournemouth and hands down Meyers have been the best.
