They were so helpful as I was moving from Hertfordshire, their communications were first rate and when I accidentally paid the deposit twice like an idiot they refunded me immediately. Searching for a new rental is horrible and they did their best to make it easier.

Negative experience: From the perspective of a tenant who recently moved out - just atrocious. Moved into a property which had problems and was unsafe. Garden full of litter, toxic pest control substances left out and open (enough to literally kill a toddler), plumbing problems. I let them know (no apology) and I sorted and fixed these issues at my own expense and time - which they were made aware of. I appreciate doing it myself was my choice but fixed it because parts were cheap and I wanted it sorted quickly to make the house habitable, rather than wait for days and not be able to use parts of the house, but in don't so isaved them/landlords £100s in labour). At the end of the tenancy they tried to take absolutely every penny they could from the deposit for the most pathetic things, including pre-existing issues. Absolutely no respect or honesty from them. Just scummy behaviour all round.

My experience with Newton Fallowell was the complete opposite. The Sales Team in the office were great in communicating exactly what was occurring, and what we should be doing to get more viewing/offers. Once we had accepted an offer they kept me up to date with the sale, helped chase outstanding paperwork and kept the buyer informed and happy when there were unforeseen delays.

Negative experience: I have now contacted the Lincoln three times in 2 months about a potential breach of my GDPR. They have yet to acknowledge or address the complaint. I am now in contact with the Ombudsman.

Negative experience: Whilst Rebecca, the director attempted to be professional, we encountered a tirade of rudeness and unprofessionalism from one so called female manager who in one email commented that I did not pay her fee and this was after many incompetent and unprofessional communications. As with other complaints on Google, she had no idea how to communicate with individuals making such a large purchase. I would not use this company again under any circumstances. Rebecca apparently reprimanded the member of staff concerned but I never received feedback on this which she promised to do, so you can't even rely on a director to do what she promises. In all honesty if you want a stress free purchase or sale, avoid this company as many suggest in these reviews. Nobody should have to deal with such incompetence and rudeness, neither should one have to complain to receive a competent service. Staff interact as if on facebook and are offended when you expect a professional service. 1 Star awarded only because necessary for a review to be submitted and note numerous 1 star reviews on here too so our experience no doubt typical of this company of incompetents. Addendum - Rebecca's rude response below sums up the company and reinforces my points. She also worryingly can't count as I gave 1 star and only then to enable a review to be written - definitely not 2 stars. A person who can't count who has to manage financial negotiations of people's property - their most expensive asset. Incompetence doesn't even start to explain this company. AVOID THEM and the director blathering on in a delusional fashion and making excuses about Covid shows lack of progress and accountability for the number of similar complaints on here over the last 2 yrs without the presence of a pandemic.

Fantastic experience: We have used Newton and Fallowell to let our house for many years. Throughout that time they have selected good tenants for us and provided outstanding support in both the maintenance of the property and organising the required gas and electrical checks required. The collection of rent etc is effortless and the IT system used allowed us to track funds and see the progress of the remedial actions be taken for issues reported by tenants. I have no hesitation in recommending Newton and Fallowell.

Negative experience: Apart from Steve Ashton at the Lincoln office we received a very poor level of service and care. When calling into the office we were made to feel a nuisance and an air of arrogance from certain staff members which was not only felt by us but by other professionals involved in the sale of our property. There was a lack of communication and felt for the fee charged little was done.

On the rare occasion tenant or maintenance issues arise, Rebecca and her team are proactive, professional and responsive. In addition I'm kept updated and advised on trends in the lettings sector and any proposed changes in the legislative landscape. Great service by this team, Lincoln's finest by a huge margin.

I would just like to mention after a boiler issue we experienced Harriet in rental/maintenance managed to negotiate a cheaper price for the repair and also helped out with the boiler again when an issue was reported which again saved us money from having to use a contractor. This helped us out so much so we cannot thank Harriett enough for her help and advice.

Negative experience: Very disappointed with this estate agent. We found them to be dishonest, unprofessional and rude. We did not hear from them at all during our house sale process, no updates, nothing, and it was down to us to actually get the house sale through. Very poor service and I would not use them again.

Negative experience: Having rented for a year through this company, it took almost a further year and the involvement of the conflict resolution team at the DPS and the Ombudsman to finally get a conclusion to an unnecessarily unpleasant deposit return process. I’m fortunate that I was not dependent on the deposit, and was prepared to challenge the delays and total lack of communication and inaccuracies. The deposit was eventually returned but not without a huge waste of time and resources. The ombudsman found in my favour and an award was made. I would suggest other options if you have them.

Negative experience: This agency allowed a Tennant to completely trash our rental property. It has cost a large amount of money to rectify all the damage and disruption caused. The neglect and mismanagement was outside the covid period so not, in any way, a valid excuse. Without going into further detail, as a landlord I wouldn't touch this rental agency with a bargepole.

Fantastic experience: I recently sold my property with Newton Fallowell Lincoln and the whole team are fabulous! Rebecca, Abbie and Kayrn were dealing with my sale and chain and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Kayrn however was the main agent dealing specifically with my sale and I can honestly say the sale and whole chain wouldn't have gone through without her taking care of it all. To cut a long story short, an issue cropped up at the bottom of the chain and it took all in all an extra 4 months to get sorted and HUGE amounts of hassle. During this time Kayrn essentially did the job of 2 estate agents as the house in question (directly below me in the chain) were using an online agent, who went awol. Kayrn took it upon herself to liase with all parties involved at all times and kept everyone calm, informed and cognisant of what was happening. This included multiple 'pep talks' to my buyer who was at his wits end and threatened to pull out of the sale on more than one occasion due to the stress! My advice is if you are looking to sell your house in the Lincoln area, please use these guys. They truly do care about you, your sale and with whole process of house buying and selling. In these days, I'm finding that's a very rare quality indeed. Kayrn is by far and away the very best agent I've ever dealt with and NF Lincoln are by far the best company. Can't say anymore than that!

Negative experience: Not the most helpful nor were the agents very good at listening. To be able to hang up a phone and "forget" to send a link straight afterwards... when it's literally the biggest part of your job. Amazing. Wouldn't recommend handing over any money to them

Negative experience: Have had personal awful experience . We lived in one of their properties . We had issues with the heating system in autumn. This was only addressed 4 weeks later. We had issues with the tenancy period. We received such rude and unhelpful responses. I am only glad we had moved out and have this nightmare behind us. Would not recommend them to my worst enemy.
