Fantastic experience: 2019. We bought our first house through Mundys and cannot recommend them enough. Always on hand for any questions we had and always did their best to answer them! Very supportive throughout the whole process! 2026. We have since sold our house through mundys. Vicki, Associate/Head of Sales Progression was outstanding in our purchase and sale. Ian, who did a few of our viewings was excellent at managing expectations and helping with our difficult situation and Lorraine in the office was incredibly helpful.

Fantastic experience: We recently bought a house through the agency, and we are very pleased with the professionalism and fast service that the staff provided us and when I say staff I mean a specific person with whom I am completely satisfied. I don't know the lady's name but she works in the office in Lincoln and when you enter she is there right across from the first desk I have never met a more radiant person. Negative experience: Called to let them know that a viewing on the property I'm letting (landlord is selling) would not be viable on Friday due to resting for a nightshift and that I would be happy to re-areange (I was planning to suggest saturday or sunday); the tone of the operator instantly switched from friendly to annoyed and I was told that they would look into re-arranging. Fast forward to today and a family turned up for a viewing followed by an agent from mundys who claimed I never told them today would not work, that nobody had told him anything and then further proceeded to guilt trip me by telling me how the family had come from far away. I understand that recently I had been hard to reach due to being in hospital after a mental health crisis and suicide attempt, however if this is how Mundys plans to operate then I shall ensure I recommend nobody use their services in the future. I have never had such audacity from my current letting agents, who have been amazing for the entire 6 years I have been with them. I should also mention that I had advised them early on that I would be hard to reach h if they called in the morning on weekdays due to working nights, however they frequently choose to call first thing when my phone is off, which has made me less willing to return the contact at times.

Negative experience: I wish I’d read these reviews a year ago, I would never have got involved I renting from them. I moved into the property after 3 people moved out (within days of them leaving) the inspection report was sent to me but there was quite a bit not shown on it, broken parts of the fridge, dirty cabinets in the kitchen, broken lamp shades in the hallway (well missing fixings actually), rusty towel rail, mould around the bath, broken bath facia to name a few, I sent the photos in on day 1. I spent the first day cleaning cupboards and removing cotton wool from the window ventilation. A year on, I spent a week cleaning the place had all the carpets cleaned and left the place better than I found it! I had rugs down and never entered the house without removing my shoes, I kept the place better than if it were my own, I’m a 62 year old bloke who works 4 12 hr shifts and when I’m not working I’m out Touring the uk and Europe on my motorcycle so I was very seldom at home. I was warned a few months back that Mundy’s have a habit of withholding deposits and making unwarranted charges, but I thought that would happen to me, they inspected the property 3 times during my 12 month lease and never once Meade any concerns about the condition. Nearer the end of my tenancy I made a complaint about how they had left the property after a planned viewing (I wasn’t there) they left every light on, every door open and the patio doors were left unlocked!! I actually moved out 10 days earlier (with all cleaning done) but it took them 12 days to do an inspection, the inspection was not a like for like inspection to the one when I moved in, despite their claims it was (strange how I cannot access the property file though to prove it) anyway it was a damming report regarding cleanliness which I wasn’t absolutely livid about, I was blamed for the light shades being broken and a missing fire remote! I did challenge the report but found out it was done by one of the partners of the company so that was a waste of time! I could go on for hours but I urge you to read the 49% of 1 star reviews and steer well clear!!!

Negative experience: We had a number of issues during this sale process. 1. We felt the property was over valued by Mundys, by £10k leading to a loss of sale during the first weekend of viewings from a no chain cash purchaser. As a result it took another 6 months to sell the property at a reduction of £5k from the initial offer incurring significant additional costs and losses of circa £7k. 3. We had problems on two occasions with Mundys staff using the toilet which we then had to clean. We spoke to. Indy’s about this on both occasions. 4. We received complaints directly from the purchasers regarding poor service levels at viewings. This included being rushed with only 15 minutes allowed in the property. Not being able to answer any questions and refusal to pass on our contact details to answer those questions. They concluded that “Mundys in no way helped to sell the property” As a result we arranged a separate viewing with the purchasers and spent over an hour with them at the property to conclude the sale.

Fantastic experience: After being told by two independent mortgage advisors that it would be difficult for me to get a not due to my zero hours contract, I approached a specialist online broker and they found me a lender. However, the rates of this mortgage were nearly 8%. After speaking briefly with Jess, she assured me that she would be able to get me a mortgage with much lower rates. She has gone above and beyond to secure me a mortgage with excellent rates and has taken the stress out of the process for me. Negative experience: Don't use. After a year of 'purchasing' a property, where the exchange did not take place on theagreed date, and buyers stringing us along for another 6 months, with the estate agent not providing updates and then finally to cap it off the sellers pulls out and the estate agents don't have the decency to call but rather choose to hide behind an email. If you want to lose money and time choose Mundys!

Fantastic experience: Amazing Amazing! We have just finished the process of selling - and moving - my 86 year old mother. From professional valuation - not hyperactive sales person - who actually looked at the outside space not just the number of bedrooms, to the photographer and brochure the start was brilliant. But it’s what came next that has blown me away. Lorraine and Claire you are special people. Yes, you have a job to do but you cared! You understood she was old and she’d been there 52 years. You understood it was hard sometimes. You were patient but still got the job done when it needed doing. Can’t fault anyone at Mundy’s Lincoln, as I know you looked after our buyer too. Fantastic experience: I was really torn between going to a traditional estate agents or using an online company. I’m really glad I chose a traditional estate agent as Mundy’s Were fantastic. Our progresser Clare (and Emma) did everything she could to keep the sale on track and ensure that the solicitors were communicating more effectively and driving the sale through to compilation. As a side note they were the only estate agent that had the courage to put the house up at the price they did and we achieved very close to asking price, take note other agents! Thank you.

Negative experience: Emma Bowey at Mundy's wasted an enormous amount of my time by just not honestly disclosing information. I can only assume in not disclosing it Emma hoped they would get the commission over the line regardless of what costs I as a buyer would be signing up to blind. If that is not it then the issue was a competence one, frankly. When viewing the property Mundy's issued the wrong keys to someone who was oddly adamant their only contribution would be letting us in, which they couldn't even do. When I put in an offer for a leasehold Emma didn't say when she'd be away, holding up the process, then didn't realise a load of her emails were stuck in her outbox, holding it up again. She refused to inform the seller to give their tenants fair notice the flat had an offer on it. She refused after months of negotiation to tell me, the potential seller, who owned the freehold and various other key questions I needed the answer to as a potential buyer, right up to the brink when I either had to buy a property not knowing the costs or pull out. Given she failed to tell me even about the 300 pound fee she must've known the management company would charge for the buyers pack I assumed she was acting, on the evidence I had, on bad faith and pulled out. Lots of time and effort wasted for all by them withholding or simply not sharing key information any responsible buyer needs and by them pursuing that approach for months. I know estate agents get a bad reputation but given this I really can see why. It was all done in bad faith whilst there was a veneer of professionalism.

Negative experience: Mum bought a park home through Mundys. It was a total fiasco, they didn't even get proof from the seller that they owned the property! The park site suggested to us to ask for some as the previous owner had thrown all paperwork out before he died. The sales team don't know what they're doing, and the sales negotiator Claire is clueless. Avoid at all costs.

Fantastic experience: This was my first time renting a property alone through Mundy's, and I am delighted to say that they were with me every step of the way with absolute confidence. From the application and all the paperwork to moving in, they were always there with advice and everything in between, as well as guiding me towards contacts I hadn't even considered, like Tennant Shop and people who could help with necessary direct debit setups. Negative experience: Truly appalling service from Mundys. Clare and Lorraine hindered the sale at every opportunity. They lied to the seller and I on multiple occasions, they showed people round the house when it was SSTC, they forgot to pass on important information to solicitors, and they tried to create animosity between myself and the seller as a sales tactic. At one point, they accidentally cc'd the seller into an email chain of the two of them bitching about him. Buying a house is supposed to be exciting, but it was an awful experience because of Mundys. The seller and I were only able to complete the purchase by getting in direct contact and removing Mundys as a middleman altogether. Unfortunately the seller was still forced to pay their commission in full, despite them doing nothing. I have never encountered such a lack of professionalism. I put in a formal complaint and it was dismissed because they said they were just acting in the seller's best interests. Both myself and the seller would disagree with this.

Negative experience: If you are thinking of selling your house I can not recommend Mundys. They significantly over valued my house, but they came across as being very confident and said 'the first party to view would buy', so I naturally signed up to them. However, they did not generate a single enquiry or viewing. At each monthly review all they had to say was we think it might be a little high and suggested reducing it by £10K. So after 5 months of inactivity and a reduction of £45K I have had to terminate our agreement. They have been totally ineffective and wasted my time. Despite telling me all the places they could advertise the property, they only put it on Rightmove and their own site.

Negative experience: Awful service when it came to deposit return. Very minor damage to a carpet was detected on our check out (so minor I had never noticed it in the two years I lived there), I contested this as I knew I wasn’t responsible for it. I insisted on this and that it must have been there upon move in, despite the inventory clerk they hired not picking it up. They would not accept this and said they ‘were in a strong position to go to the DPS for dispute’, I was happy to do this as I wanted it to be investigated properly and refused to give up £100 of my deposit. And what a surprise, when they were gathering their evidence they found that the damage was actually present on the last tenant’s check out, something they absolutely should have checked as soon as I contested it. Luckily I did not back down, but if I had I would have paid them £100 for something that I was not at fault for. They then proceeded to blame me for not checking my inventory thoroughly enough and did not take accountability at all.

Negative experience: Title: Terrible Experience - Unreliable and Unprofessional Agency Review: My recent experience with Agency has been nothing short of a nightmare. I had three appointments scheduled with them, two of which were confirmed via WhatsApp, and not once did anyone bother to contact me, despite multiple assurances of a callback through a chain of emails. Firstly, the lack of professionalism displayed by them is appalling. Their claim that I did not turn up or cancel the appointment is simply false. I was ready and waiting at the designated time, only to be left hanging without any communication whatsoever. To add insult to injury, this was not the first time such an incident occurred. They conveniently neglected to mention the previous occasions when they failed to honor their commitments. It is evident that reliability and basic courtesy are not qualities they prioritize. I find it utterly disrespectful that would deny me any further viewings due to their own incompetence. Instead of taking responsibility for their shortcomings, they conveniently shift the blame onto me. Well, let me make it abundantly clear that I have no interest in dealing with such an untrustworthy agency any longer. Good riddance, Mundys I hope others are spared the frustration and disappointment I have endured. I urge prospective tenants to steer clear of this agency, as their lack of professionalism and disregard for customer service are truly deplorable. In conclusion, my advice is to save yourself the trouble and seek out a more reputable and reliable agency. There are plenty of better options out there

Fantastic experience: A brilliant service. Many thanks to Vicki, Lorraine, Ian, Tom (and others). Everyone was always friendly and helpful. One thing I would change is the Mundys policy of limits on visiting the property that is in the process of being purchased. In our case, the property needs an enormous amount of work and it was vital to get quotes before completion. Mundys was very accommodating in allowing us access but certain things needed more than a 60 minute window. Tom did note we could apply for longer through solicitors but I was reluctant to do this as they moved at snail pace as it was. Overall a fantastic experience, thank you.

Fantastic experience: I first contacted Hymie at Mundys to get an initial idea about their management services for rental properties, and to get a rental valuation. Hymie was very quick to come and assist. He arrived already prepared with research carried out beforehand and gave me answers to every question I had. It took some time on my end before I was then ready to use Mundy's services, but I received regular touching-base emails from the team to see how I was getting on, which was greatly appreciated. When the time came to list my property for renting, Mundys were very quick once again to get all the necessaries completed. It has been completely stress-free and issue-free so far, and I am pleased and relieved with how seamless the process has been. I feel assured that everything is in good hands.

Fantastic experience: I've interacted with many estate agents and Mundys have by far been the best. They have been communicative throughout the rental process. Even before our application has been accepted by the landlord, Mundys had phoned us to explain what was happening and kept us in the loop. Negative experience: I rented a house that was advertised as "owner is fitting a new kitchen". On the day I was signing the contract -surprise!- no new kitchen, when I complained I was told very nicely that it was take it or leave it. When I moved in it seemed a pig was living in the house (a furry one). I left after two years and returned the house much cleaner than I received, even though I was charged more than 200 pounds on my deposit for extra cleaning.

Fantastic experience: I had to wait until completion date of my own house sale and from that day start to find somewhere to rent for a year, back in my home city of Lincoln ...fast! Mundys are, of course, highly recommended by friends and family but it's hard to explain how phenomenal they have been finding me the right style of place to rent for a year, explaining how the process works and each time I've had a question, sorting me out quickly.

Negative experience: Mundys lettings have been absolutely appalling. My dad passed away as a result of a fall on the stairs, he was 58. We had to remove the carpet due to the way that he died, it was not salvagable. We kindly phoned mundys to make them aware of this and to offer to find a matching carpet and fit it to right the situation however the representative insisted on sending someone who 'wasn't emotionally involved' to clean it, we explained that it was simply not possible or appropriate but they persisted, in the end she removed the carpet. They then called back and said the landlord wants the stairs and landing carpet replaced at the same time, we fully accept the reasons for this however made it clear that the only carpet that was damaged was in the hall way, we asked how the cost of this would be worked out fairly however they were not able to tell us. The representative then said by the way the rent is paid until August 1st and after that we would be liable for it. My dad died on 20/07/22 and we felt pressurised in to returning the keys so they were returned on 29/07/22. We then asked for the location of the water meter which they said they didn't know and they would sort it out, we explained we wanted to do this ourselves so we could pay the bill, they said they would find out and call us back, they never did. Upon handing the keys back we explained we did not want any further contact from them and that we will communicate through the deposit protection scheme. We have since been contacted multiple times including by 2 members of staff using their personal Facebook profiles to contact us. Every other organisation we have spoken to explain that dad has died first of all said sorry for your loss. Mundys did not show any compassion or understanding until we complained. We lost dad in an unexpected and traumatic way, mundys simply added to the stress.

Fantastic experience: From the start the service Mundys gave was very thorough and professional. Nothing was too much trouble when it came to communicating with them. Appointments were made to suit my diary as well as the agent’s. All my questions were answered thoroughly.
